A Leap in Technology - the HP Photosmart C4585

Advantages: Wireless printing and scanning saves time and money for business
Disadvantages: Sometimes needs turned on/off when scanning lots of documents

...I received the HP Photosmart C4585 as a Christmas 2008 present and so am not sure how much was paid for it- though I know it was bought from Curry's. To sum up in the first paragraph all I can say is that this in an incredible piece of technology- the freedom of not having to plug in printers and scanners into my laptop is a great asset that I did not think I could appreciate to such an extent. The product was found in excellent condition upon opening the packaging due to the strong polystyrene inserts that fitted the box like a glove. Inside all the relevent user manuals, quick start guide (for both windows and apple), warranty cards and sample ink cartridges were included. HP Photosmart - A Smart Desicion!

Advantages: Fun & Simple to use without a PC, loads of features, touchscreen

I'm never without my digital camera, in fact I probably use it daily but the photo's always end up getting shoved onto my computer and forgotten about. HP C4480 Printer - Great all-rounder

...; it is rather complicated, but is ok once you've figured it out and got the hang of it. Changing the cartridges is really simple - this printer takes HP 350 black ink cartridges, and HP 351 tri-colour ink cartridges. These are also available in 'XL' sizes, which provide a lot more ink for your money - really good value. Special HP 348 photo cartridges are also available, for those wanting to print high-quality images. The front flap folds in completely flush with the rest of the printer, which is great for saving space when it's out of use. Whilst the printer offers fantastic value for money and all the features you could possibly want, the software is probably the main thing that lets it down. HP PhotoSmart D7160 - one year of use

Advantages: Easy to use. Good colour reproduction. Easy to change inkjets.
Disadvantages: Must use 100 gsm paper or else printer constantly jams or damages output

...I bought this printer because I was fed up forking out lots of money for ink jet cartridges which would run out of one colour and mean that the rest of the ink was unused. So in December 2007 I purchased the HP PhotoSmart D7160. This printer has individual inkjet cartridges for each colour. However in January 2008 the printer just packed up and would not work. I contacted Hewlett Packard and explained that I had no idea why it would not work. They were very helpful, non-judgemental and identified the problem (technical and beyond my ken) and arranged for me to send the printer back. The carrier collected it and replaced it with a brand new printer. It worked like a dream. The aftersales service cannot be faulted. I use the printer for making leaflets and printing photgraphs. This means I tend to use a lot of blue and black...

...This toner is designed for use with the HP Laserjet 1100 series printers. We have a number of these printers at the company I work for and so make use of these toners quite a lot. The toner is quoted as having a page life of 2,500 pages and retails at a price of around £40. The cartridge comes packaged in a large box with the toner type clearly labelled on the front, which is handy. The toner is secured within the box by two large cardboard holders and comes in package that closely resembles bin bag material! In Use This toner cartridge has been sensibly designed so as to make it a fairly easy process when removing an old toner and replacing with a new one. The toner itself slots into the printer, and so this means the old toner just needs to be removed from the holding slots in the toner bay and the new one put in its place...
