HP45 Print Cartridge

Advantages: Print quality, ease of use
Disadvantages: Too expensive

...can malfunction and leak, but I have yet to experience this happening to any of the ones I have had. With my recycling hat on, there is no mention on this cartridge of whether any parts have been used from recycled materials. I?m assuming then that HP are not trying to used recycled parts in this print cartridge, which seems a real waste considering the amount of these cartridges that must be used and thrown away on a daily basis worldwide! Here comes my usual gripe with Hewlett Packard consumables, I feel that they are too expensive! OK £20 might not seem that excessive a price, but considering that you usually need a colour cartridge too for around the same price, you are talking about £40 just to replace the ink in a printer that probably only cost £80 to begin with! I don?t think that it is particularly fair to consumers...

The HP 300's bigger, stronger brother

...This range of print cartridges from HP is the bigger and better version of the HP300. Those of you who remember my stunning, wrongly uncrowned review of the HP300 will remember how it ran out after just 140 pages. Well, this time I splashed out on the upgrade. Basically, these cost £30 each, although I picked them up on ebay for around £19 brand new and sealed. They are print cartridges that do a lot more than the HP300. The black and white cartridge will give 600 pages of print (4 times what I got out of its baby brother at just twice the price). The colour one gives 440 pages. ...I bought this colour cartridge for my HP Deskjet D4260 and have found that the colours are absolutely fantastic! I have never seen such crisp, clear quality on a printer before. Even when I printed photographs on standard paper rather than photo paper, the quality was still superb. Also printed documents were of very extremely good quality. I usually print out all documents in draft quality rather than choosing the available normal or best print option, simply for the reason to make printing more economical and to make the cartridge longer. And I have to say that even the draft printed quality of documents on the HP 351 and HP 350 (Black) XL are very good. One thing, is that when I print the color has to be immaculate to what I actually have produced, but that's where I want to warn people not to buy color cartridges for the sake of printing photographs, there is usually a separate cartridge for this, although it usually replaces the black ink, please check if that is the case as the photos will come up more blurred and out of focus. The color is of standards color, I wouldn't say it's great. It dries up fairly quick witch is always a good thing.
