The 3570 c is a quality piece of kit, the first thing you'll notice is the shiney see through lid, with attractive blue pattern, the lid is heavy, as is the rest of the machine, ( for me , if something I buy weighs a fair bit , I recon It's worth it's money ? ) If you're going to spend £100 odd on your new toy ..... you want build quality. If it's too light it must be cheap? ( just add some lead weights to it ...and I'll buy it !! ). Out of the box , you'll find .. the scanner comes with its own power supply, USB lead, and software set up CD. The CD provides the signed drivers, HP photo & imaging director. Once set up and connected, an icon is placed on the desk top for easy access to the scanner functions. This is in the form of the HP director...

Review of HP ScanJet 3570C

My HP Scanjet 2400 Experience

Advantages: Inexpensive
Disadvantages: Not too user-friendly

...My HP Scanjet 2400 experience began when I inserted the installation CD, this began to run and immediately stopped with a 'Macromedia Projector' error message. I presume 'Macromedia Projector' is software used to momentarily give a flashy display before the installation starts. Overkill that died!!! I am running Windows XP Service Pack 2 so my guess is that there was a conflict. So I explored the CD, found the Setup files and ran these to install the software. I think this worked, although I have no idea if I got the full software set. Next I tried to scan a series of A4 (paper size) documents as A4 documents using the HP Director control software. Could I do this? Not without a good deal of manual intervention because after each scan the scanner insisted on removing the margins and I had to manually drag them back into place...

Review of HP ScanJet 3800 Photo Scanner

HP Inkjet 1200d

Advantages: Very fast cheap to run printer
Disadvantages: quite large for home use

...I bought an HP 1200d Printer in April of this year. I chose this printer because the reviews I had read were excellent and I wanted a printer with seperate ink cartridges that were quock and were in my privce range. This printer met all 3 conditions. The print speed of text is very very quick, colour printing is quick but photos are fairly slow however the quaality is excellent. The printer has a built in duplex facility. The 1200d is a little bigger than most ink jets, at 8.3in by 19.9in by 18.3in (HWD). The ink cartridges are separate from the print heads, so you have to install four of each also there are 4 seperate print heads to deal with. HP says each cartridge can manage 1,750 pages. The beauty of seperate cartridges is that if the Cyan runs out you just change the cyan you do not loose the remainder of teh other...

Slim. Sharp. Stylish. The Scanjet 2400.

Advantages: Fast, simple image scanning. Very stylish design. Excellent Price.
Disadvantages: None!

...off to my nearest computer fair, to search for a brand new scanner. I hadn't much to spend on the day, just under 40 quid infact, so owning the creme de la creme of scanners wasn't an option. I did however, find the HP Scanjet 2400 in one stall, looking most impressive on the box, I found myself checking out the specifications and asking the stall owner the price. The gruff reply was "37.99 mate", awesome, I thought. Even got enough money left for a happy meal! So I strolled out of the place lugging...)well not so much lugging it must have only weighed a couple of kilograms) a brand new scanner. Hp Scanjet 4200c Review

Advantages: Very quick at preview and scan

...I brought the Hp scanjet 4200c scanner second hand over two years ago and have found it to be a good buy although due to a dodgy repair by the prevous owner only half of my scanner works but i still say that is one of the best scanners around. It does not do negatives but then only the expensive ones do. Basically it does all you could want it to do. The preview time using the Windows xp scanner and camera wizzard it takes just 15 secs to do a preview. The avarage scan time is just 25 secs on a normal A4 scan. It is a very easy product to use and well worth the money. Any one who buys this scanner will not regret buying it because it so fantastic....

The Bargainous HP ScanJet 3670

Advantages: Great quality Scanning for it's price
Disadvantages: a little bit on the chunky side

...a good deal with this scanner. If you've got windows XP then the plug and play option the scanner gives you is fantastic! no setup required. you just plug in the USB cable and you're ready to go (the PC automatically detects the device) the one touch buttons on the scanners body also make quick scanning easy and practical. If you're not after a stylish scanner, and you want to save some dosh, then HP's Scanjet 3670 is a good choice...

Hp ScanJet 5370C well worth it

...I was looking for a new top of the range scanner, to go along with my Hp P1000 photo smart printer, so I needed one at a good price, but which had great quality scanning, and I found it. Everyone knows that Hp can be a bit pricey, but for around £130, this has to be worth it. It has a max resolution of 2400 x 1200 dpi (dots per inch), and this is ideal for enlarging pics and still keeping the quality in the picture. It is quick and as you can save the pics as jpegs, and other file types, it does'nt use alot of space on your hard drive. When loading a pictuer, you also have many functions, ranging from resolution, colour quality, lighting, and inlaging or decreasing the picture size. The scanner is slightly larger than the average flat bed scanner, but it is very user friendly, and has 4 short cut buttons on the front of it...

A lot about this scanner is excellent but not everything. It is very quick to scan but doesn?t always recognise everything it should, for example when loading with 16 slides or 30 negatives it doesn?t always recognise and scan all of them, you either have to try and do it manually or you have to find the missed ones and reload them. ...The HP ScanJet 8300 is a Professional Image Scanner from HP's Scan jet series. This is one of the top end Scanners HP manufacture and is ideal for the business domain. There is also an 8300gp model of this scanner which is a Graphic Arts scanner and has a monitor color-meter calibrator as a added feature ideal for graphic designers. Now about the HP ScanJet 8300, the scanner has an OR (Optical Resolution) of 4800x4800dpi and will scan high dynamic range in 48bit colour. This is fine for transparency and negative scanning. The scanner has a max reflection area of around A4 size. HP includes film holders which will hold 3 strips, 6 frames of a 35mm film. The holders can be placed in the base of the scanner for storage. The ScanJet 8300 is supplied with HP's own photosmart software. I wasn't impressed with the scan pro scanning...
