...I brought the Hp scanjet 4200c scanner second hand over two years ago and have found it to be a good buy although due to a dodgy repair by the prevous owner only half of my scanner works but i still say that is one of the best scanners around. It does not do negatives but then only the expensive ones do. Basically it does all you could want it to do. The preview time using the Windows xp scanner and camera wizzard it takes just 15 secs to do a preview. The avarage scan time is just 25 secs on a normal A4 scan. It is a very easy product to use and well worth the money. Any one who buys this scanner will not regret buying it because it so fantastic.... Read review

The PC features handwriting and speech to text, use in portrait or landscape mode and a digital pen to write with. It comes with XP Pro Tablet and uses Office XP with a tablet add on. You can also remove the keyboard from the unit completely and use it solely in 'pen' mode. It has inbuilt network and modem ports. The machine is very light and easy to carry and comes with a black zipped case that holds the tablet in place securely. After I had used the HP Tablet TC4400 model at work I knew it had to be a tablet PC. For those of you that are not aware of the term 'tablet PC'. It refers to a laptop where you can turn the screen and place it flat on the keyboard with the screen face-up. This turns it into a type of notebook that you can use to write on by using the specially supplied stylus pen. Users of a PDA will be familiar with a stylus. You can either use an on screen keyboard to type letters in for you, or you can use a handwriting mode which will convert handwriting straight into text for you. Again, especially handy for lectures. There are 3 USB ports for any number of things like memory pens, printers, external drives or any novelty USB toys you might have! However, this is where a couple of downfalls start appearing. The tablet PC does not have a CD/DVD Drive, which means you'll need to buy one separately. The first expense. It runs with Intel Centrino so it can hook up to any wireless networks in the area. ...It is sunday morning and i must be bored if all i can do is right a review on this printer, well, here goes, i purchased this printer after my last one went out the window because it was not working right, i was wary about buying a 3 in 1 printer scanner and copier, but once installed (very easy to do (load the disc follow the instructions and hey presto)). PRINTER As a printer it is far superior to the previous one i had, the quality of the print is awesome, and the speed of print is also good, with up to 20 PPM's for black and white print and 19 for colour i found this very quick for a home ink jet printer SCANNER as a scanner i found this not as good as my HP scanner, but still very quick and the quality is good, for just home use this would be sufficient for general day to day use and nothing more, for professional use... ...and the speckally layer in front of the screen. The screen is small which is a bit annoying especially if you are trying to use the tablet like a pad of paper. Most other manufactures opted for 12 in screens. Although I do appreciate this laptop is trying to be small it would have been nicer if Compaq had opted for a 12 in screen like most of the other manufactures. The speckally layer is there to make the tablet pc pen work. Compaq opted to use a different pen technology to more less every other manufacturer which makes this layer necessary. This layer sometimes makes the screen look a bit blurred or fussy but generally it is ok. One element which is very, very good about this screen is that the medium between the screen and pen is hard glass.
