As you know, here at work we are a major HP user nowadays. Mainly because of the reliability and quality of the products. Hey, im the IT manager so the better quality products we buy, the less maintenance and replacing we need to do! That why when my developers were asking for more screen resolution to maximise their working space, we needed 19 inch monitors that could not only give a bigger picture but also offer larger resolutions than the industry standard 1024 x 768 most flat screens seem to offer. Good quality TFT monitor at reasonable cost

Advantages: Lightweight, good viewing angle adjustment

...I decided to replace my 19" CRT monitor for home use. Using a 17" TFT at work, I found the resolution ont hat more than adequate. Research on prices on the web showed that this Digimate monitor was the most reasonable, with the right features. I was particularly attracted by the angle adjustment, and the built-in speakers. Ordering was extremly simple - I used a company called aria - and the cost was £123 inc VAT. I had the screen delivered to my work address, which was no problem for their on-line ordering system. The product arrived promptly and well packaged. Configuration onto my system was easy - very much a simple plug and play, as you would expect these days. ...HP Pavilion F50s, is excellent got mine about a year ago and I love it. The colour is not brilliant (Grey) but I suppose it goes with my life! Any way it cost me just under £250.00 for a 15 inch size, and it does the business. This is available at most electrical sellers, I got mine from Comet. Had a bit of a problem at first. I bought it one evening, took it back to mine, set it up as usual, no problems, turned on the screen and noticed a crystal within the screen had disappeared. A crystal is what makes the screen up, normal monitors don?t have this but flat screen and plasmas do that?s what makes them so expensive. My mate who works for REDBUS internet company said take it back straight away, because the crystal that has disappeared will slowly destroy's the other crystal around it, and will slowly kill your screen. NOT impressed and wont recommend a HP7540 monitor

Advantages: Good colour display (WHEN MONITOR WORKS)
Disadvantages: SERIOUS problems with the buttons in front of monitor.

...When I bought my HP 7540 montitor i was under the impression that HP is supposed to be a good brand. I should have known better to be honest. My monitor is not even 2 years old and i have a serious problem. The settings that come up when pressing the menu button on the monitor just comes up by itself and obviously stands in the way of any or every window in the background. Obviously that means i cant do ANYTHING unless i manage to get rid of that settings window. It has taken me AGES to figure out what the cause of is but i finally have (at least i believe I have) even if ive done it rather primitively. Im not an expert when fixing electrical appliances but there seems to be some kind of problem with the "contact" inside of the buttons. Maybe , maybe not. Before I go any further let me emphasize that I have NEVER used the buttons...

HP w2207 22" widescreen monitor

Advantages: good features, design, and image
Disadvantages: be better if the warranty was more like 2 or 3 years instead of 1

...Excellent monitor. The screen is very sharp and clear. It's 22 inches diagonally, and 16:10 widescreen ratio. The resolution is 1680 horizontally, and 1050 vertically. The screen is one of the glossy ones, which I was a bit against when I first started looking for a new monitor. HP call it "BrightView". I was really thinking of a "satin" one, so I wouldn't get reflections, though the image from these tends to be a bit softer due to the diffusion of the light through the finish on the surface. You do get some reflections when you look at the w2207 monitor in a store, but the lighting is usually far brighter than in a home setting. Plus there are usually loads more lights over a larger area, signs, etc that make things look much worse than they actually are in a domestic setting. The image is so sharp and clear that...

Hewlett Packard HP L2045w 20.1in monitor

...My trusty 17inch TFT monitor has done sterling service over the years and dates from a time when a 17inch TFT screen was a serious investment. As I'm doing a lot more web work these days, I needed something with a better horizontal resolution - certainly better than the 1280 pixels my current monitor offers. As always, things have moved on and I recently heard about this monitor which is on a special offer until the end of April 2007. Basically, you can buy the monitor for a little over £200 and then get £50 back from HP via a cashback promotion making it just £150 for a 20inch TFT. One vendor, it247.com has the claim form available online as a download. Of course I bought one! The monitor is of the widescreen persuasion with a resolution of 1680x1050. I'd have preferred a few more pixels in height but the 1680 was good enough...

HP w1907v Monitor

Advantages: easy to use/set up. Widescreen. Built in speakers.
Disadvantages: Not enough base on sound

...I have spent my christmas money on this monitor. Looking at its clarity in the store made me decide to go for it. Getting home and taking it out of the box, I was pleased with the way it was protected against knocks and bumps. Plenty of cover over the screen to stop scratches. When I got its base fastened to the screen it was then I realised how heavy it was. It sits nice and firm on the desk. The tilting mechanism works great although a bit tight it does its job well and has plenty of tilt. I would of licked it to adjust upwards aswell, but for the price its good. A 19 inch wide screen is definatly good for watching movies with. Connecting it up to the computer is with the VGA socket (the blue multi pinned one) and no other one is there so one thing to think about when you buy it. The cable is supplied with the unit though...
