HP Photosmart 433
Review of HP PhotoSmart 433 by
Kingkarliii
Advantages: Lightweight, easy to use
Disadvantages: Sliding lens cover easily opens and runs your batteries down quick
...I got this camera as part of a package that also included the HP 1200 Psc series printer/scanner copier all-in-one. It has taken loads of picture of reasonable quality. Unfortunately I didn't get all the extra cables, the tripod, mains adater or the camera dock and wasn't expecting to find any of them either. But I did get the USB cable and a piece that attaches to the base of the camera prior to putting it on the camera dock as a sort of incentive I think. I must also add that it comes with a 64MB SD memory card and I know it can be upgraded to at least 512MB as I have done so and will hold up to and over 1000 photos, but not that much if you take a lot of video clips.
***Specifications***
Resolution - 3.27MP (2096 by 1560) Total pixel count, but only 3.14MP (2048 by 1536) effective pixels. Video clips are 1/4 VGA (320 by 240...

Too many gimmicks or the real HP?
Review of HP DV2000t by
Expired-Account
Advantages: Light, sytlish, fast, dual core
Disadvantages: Battery life
...helpful if you have a digital camera and want a quick way to upload photos, you simply pop the card in the slot. My phone has a MicroSD card, for which I have an adapter, so I just pop it in the SD slot and put some new tracks on it and hey presto a new ringtone.
The computer has 3 2.0USB ports, a VGA port, a network port, an expansion port, 2 headphone, a microphone port and a charging port. I know nothing about computers, really, so I don't know how this compares but it seems good to me?!
There is 1024MB of memory, but as this is a dual core laptop this essentially means there are two sections of 512MB memory. Dual core means in essence there are two computers, allowing you to carry out multiple functions at the same time. The best example being, uploading pictures and downloading music without any trouble.
The computer has 100GB...

Simple, Basic, Easy-to-Use Card Reader
Review of SanDisk ImageMate USB 2.0 Reader/Writer by
kamnet
Advantages: Simple, basic, USB 2.0 High-Speed port is FAST!
Disadvantages: C'mon, what do you expect out of a card reader, a genie?!?
...Last March I purchased a Concord Digital Eye-Q Duo 2000 camera (see my review at http://www.ciao.co.uk/ConcordEyeQDuo2000Review5383052). I've been very happy with this camera, but the one disappointing aspect, in the long-run, was that to get the data off of my SD media cards, I had to hook the camera up to my computer via the internal USB 1.1 ports on my 233MHz AMD K-6 computer. Transfer was SLOOOOOWWWWW to say the least - I use my camera weekly to take over 300 photos for pro wrestling organizations, and fans want to see these results in color yesterday! The experience didn't get much faster when I added a USB 2.0 High-Speed card to the computer, because the camera's interface was only USB 1.1. So I craved MORE POWER.
Remember those nice, nifty Best Buy Bux from the latest round of McDonald's Monopoly game? I had a client...

nc6120- HP or not HP that is the question
Review of HP Compaq Business Notebook nc6120 - Pentium M 740 1.73 GHz - 15" TFT by
la_chique
Advantages: Lightweight, numerous ports, large hard drive, fast, dvd-rw drive, useful
Disadvantages: no on/off button for touchpad, no floppy drive
...in a little while).
The computer has in-built 802.11b wireless for networking, with infrared, GPRS and bluetooth capabilities, and has a one-touch button for fast activation/de-activation of the bluetooth/wireless function.
There is a USB 2.0 controller onboard, and there are 4 USB ports (2 on each side) and one 4-pin Firewire Port. There are also 2 PCMCIA slots, and INTEL WLAN radio modem for networking. There is an in-built microphone, and also ports for headphone and microphone jacks.
There is one-touch mute, and volume controls, and a one touch multiple display button.
The computer has a front-feed smart card reader, suitable for SD, MS/PRO, MMC, SM and XD type smart cards (most of the ones on the market as far as I am aware). I always use the reader for my camera. It is an absolute life-saver as I am always losing my USB...

Smart camera from HP (complete re-write)
Review of HP PhotoSmart 435 by
philipjohn001
Advantages: Small and versatile - excellent quality
Disadvantages: None really
...Ok, with over 250 non-member reads I thought it was about time I re-wrote this op so here we go…
The name of Hewlett Packard has always been associated with quality and this camera is no exception. Small, compact and yet packed with features make it a camera that is worth waiting for.
I obtained this camera about three months ago now and was impressed from the start. From it’s sleek silver design to the easy set-up getting it out of the box was just the start of the simplicity that this camera is all about.
I’m not a great reader of instructions (I’m a guy after all) and fortunately HP seems to have taken this into account. The box contained the camera, a set of batteries, a USB connector lead, a carry strap, a manual, a CD and an easy start up guide for people like me.
The camera looks exactly as it does on the picture...

SD Transflash Adapter/Memory Card
Review of Expansys Trans Flash SD TFSD 128 128 MB by
mikeywhitto
Advantages: Can be used in most electronic equipment
Disadvantages: Very small so can be lost easily
... Overview
I first bought this SD card for storage on my mobile phone. I hadn't ever used a transflash adapter before and I did have to do a bit of research to find out what the two parts were for. Basically, the smaller part (see picture) can be put into phones and other small electrical products and can store up to 128MB worth of data (or more if you buy a card with a greater capacity). The beauty of the transflash adapter however, is the fact that the little memory card can be put into the larger adapter and then used on larger electrical equipment such as a computer or a PS3.
Advantages
This gives many advantages. The small memory card can be permanently placed inside the adapter and used for storage as you would with a USB memory stick. You could also transfer photos/music/videos from your computer/PS3...

HP iPAQ 114 - A fine 'basic' PDA
Review of HP iPAQ 114 Classic Handheld by
apestyler
Advantages: Value for money, fast processor, stylus
Disadvantages: Weight (too light!), lots of pressure needed to use touch screen
...manual, guarantees and warranties etc
Overview
The HP iPAQ 114 has had a bit of a face lift when comparing it with older revisions of the iPAQ family however it still manages to keep the well known shape and layout common to most iPAQs past and present. The brushed metal effect with chrome buttons is pleasing to the eye yet it doesn't look too cheap and tacky.
Notable specifications for the HP iPAQ 114 are as follows;
- Windows Mobile 6 Classic operating system
- Marvell 624Mhz Processor
- 3.5inch TFT display
- Integrated Bluetooth & Wi-Fi connectivity
- 64MB SDRAM / 256MB Flash ROM (of which 190MB is available to the user)
- SD card memory slot
Usability
When my iPAQ 114 first arrived and I eagerly got it out of its box the first thing which hit me was that the unit itself is very light compared to other iPAQs which I...

USB Card Reader With Free 1GB SD Card
Review of Kingston MobileLite 9-in-1 Reader by
Surj1
Advantages: 9 in 1 card reader, 1GB SD card, Compact design
Disadvantages: None
...The Kingston MobileLite 9-in-1 Card Reader is the only device you need to store, transfer and read data on any USB enabled device. As I use a variety of flash cards for mobile phone, digital camera and camcorder.
This card reader is designed with a USB 2.0 connector which is ideal to connect via you PC or laptop. It has memory expansion slots that support nine different types of SD and MMC flash memory cards. It also comes with a 1 GB SD memory card for free, what more would you want.
This device is called mobile for a reason, as its small and compact it's ideal to take with you anywhere. You won't find a smaller more compact card reader on the market which carries a respectable name as Kingston. I have another card reader which I use for my PC, I bought this because it was cheap and had free 1GB SD memory card with it. I use...
