Not bad
Review of HP Vectra VLi8 - PII 400 MHz by
pault
Advantages: good system
Disadvantages: not very good monitors
...HP is a very good brand, so a director of my company decided to by some of them.
Our company uses HP's products for 2 years and we see that we didn't mistake choosng HP Vectra.
But in our computers after 2 years of using we have to repare monitors.
Personally me use HP Vectra VL with P2-233 Mh in my office. Thou there are many faster processors, but this one is not worth than modern computers.
There is a coupl words about design - it is very good, so there are no problems to put it in any place.
I hope that HP will keep constructing so nice computers and we will use them for many years....

Review of Compaq Presario 2810EA
Review of Compaq Presario 2810EA - P4-M 1.4 GHz - 15" TFT by
neil1424
Advantages: Fast for a Compaq laptop, not bad price, nice size hd
Disadvantages: bit ugly, not very light for carrying around, quite large
...Compaq may not make the most desirable looking laptops, and this most certainly isn't going to make you fall in love with it, but I do like this laptop which I got a while ago for only £700!
with 1.4Ghz P4-M, quite fast for a Compaq laptop, and a nice graphics card (mine came with a 128mb radeon gfx card) games and applications run nice and fast on this laptop
What drew me to this was the 30 gig hard drive also, a definate bonus for my work, especially at this price.
The main problem I have found though is the bulk of the laptop. It is very wide and heavy, not the idea for carrying around. I would probably have not bought the laptop if I had known I was going to carry it around a lot.
The laptop comes with the usual software packages, windows XP home ed., MS Office applications, Windows Media player etc.
There were not many extras...

Solid Performing Laptop
Review of Compaq Presario V5245eu - Turion 64 mobile technology ML-34 1.8 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
chappy81
Advantages: Trustworthy brand, great performance
Disadvantages: Plain looks, a little hot
...After having used this laptop recently, I was impressed by the speed of the system with the 1GB Ram in Windows. The onboard (shared) video card is the Radeon Xpress 200M which is quite good for windows applications, and even modest gaming with share size set to 128Mb. The 100Gb Hard Disk drive is spacious, and well paired with the DVD-RW Drive.
This Compaq has several USB 2.0 Ports, Firewire, Ethernet, Modem, Wireless and an inbuilt Multi-Card Reader.
It comes preloaded with Windows XP Home, and is Vista Capable, meaning it will upgrade seamlessly to Vista when it is released.
The 15.4 Inch Widescreen TFT is crisp and clear, and has a max resolution of 1200x800 enabling great widescreen DVD Playback.
As an all-rounder this Laptop is ideal for office, student, and even modest gamer use. At 3kg it is no lightweight but still...

Review of Compaq Presario 7477 - K6-2 by
SlimmyJimmy
Advantages: Fast, Fast, FAST!!! (Oh yeah... and easy to set up and use, too.)
Disadvantages: Huh?!!? No stereo speakers?!?!
...model was definitely a much better buy. And the computer with the most "bang" – at least on paper, anyway – was the Compaq Presario 5004US. After discussing different models with the salesman for 30 minutes, and weighing my options for nearly another hour, I paid the man $1,149 and eagerly walked out with my new "screamer."
HERE'S WHAT I GOT WITH MY COMPAQ PRESARIO 5004US:
Hardware:
* AMD Athlon(TM) Processor running at 1.102 GHz.
* 200 MHz system bus
* Enhanced 3D Now!(TM) video technology
* 16 MB Nvidia TNT2 M64 PRO graphics card
* SoundMax Digital Audio system
* 128 MB RAM, 100 MHz
* 60 GB hard disk drive
* 8X/4X/24X DVD-ROM drive
* 8X/4X/32X CD-RW drive
* 56K V.90 modem
* 10/100Mb PCI network interface card
* 1 parallel port
* PS2 mouse port
* 4 USB ports (2 in front, 2 in back; 1 required for keyboard...

The HP dv6238ea (UPDATED REVIEW!!!)
Review of HP Pavilion Media Center dv6238ea Entertainment - Core Duo T2250 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
yaw8845
Advantages: elegant, reasonably priced, splendid specifications
Disadvantages: mediocre battery life (6 CELL), WXGA HD display flaws a little under direct sunlight, "quick play" sounds cannot be muted.
.... Rather disappointingly, these buttons beep at a touch and there is no way to mute them. Further on top is the conexant H-D audio powered by Altec Lansing speakers. Sound levels are well distributed but don't expect a partying home theatre sound!
: On the HP dv6238ea's performance:
Performance indicators are a measure of the capacity and actual and therefore very important to the demanding user. On a 1.73Ghz CORE DUO PROCESSOR T2250, a 120GB hard drive running at 5400RPM, a 2048MB DDR2 SDRAM and a Nvidia Geforce 7400 with 128MB of dedicated memory and up to 256 W/turbo, this HP is not a mediocre. The 1.73 core duo technically placed in line with the newer 1.6 Core 2 Duo processors delivers enough performance for good multi-tasking: the newer 1.6 core 2 duo processors even falls behind in 2 or 3 multi-tasking options. A reason to explain HP...

HP Pavilion DV2130ea made for everything!!!
Review of HP Pavilion Media Center dv2130ea Entertainment - Core Duo T2250 1.73 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
jasko8
Advantages: remote control, in-built camera, HP imprint finish, 120GB, Core Duo processor
Disadvantages: didn't find any jet.
...off, it will do it for you. 1GB of RAM memory means that you'll never be short for operating memory or the memory needed for the graphics.
Graphics
HP Palivion 2130ea hides in his case GeForce GO 7200 with 128MB dedicated memory. All the newest games will run on it, but if you're looking for gaming at highest resolutions and settings, you'll have to look for more powerfull desktop PC. This graphic card is enough to watch movies, run Media center or edit pictures or video. Watching movies on your big screen never been easier. S-video cable is already included into package, so you can connect to your TV straight away. With a help of only one button you can switch picture from laptop to TV. It's really easy and the output picture is really good on my 32'' screen.
Software
When you first time open your pavilion series dv2100...

HP Pavillion DV 6355
Review of HP Pavilion Media Center dv6355ea Entertainment - Core 2 Duo T5300 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
PaulineLees
Advantages: Remote, Bright and Sharp Screen, Lightweight, Large Hardrive
Disadvantages: 1GB Ram, Only 3 USB Ports, Webcam Incompatability with Vista
...that the lid slams shut to secure closing.
HP includes 3 USB ports, including an ExpressCard slot and a 5-in-1 card reader.
A remote control is included to allow controlling of power, volume, DVD controls etc allowing you to watch a movie in bed and turn the machine off without getting up. This is a useful feature.
Performance from the Intel Core 2 Duo T5300 with 1GB of RAM is satisfactory, but struggles with Vista\'s aero interface.
The laptop is a compact size, comparible with all 15.4" models meaning its easily transportable.
I paid £699.99 for this product and all in all I am pleased with the Notebook. I would recommend this product to others....

Hewlett Packard t760.uk PC
Review of HP Pavilion t760.uk Photosmart PC - P4 515 2.93 GHz by
roboticdude
Advantages: Great value
Disadvantages: none come to mind
...Hewlett Packard's latest offering is a budget PC that's geared towards budding digital photographers. Until recently, a budget PC may not have been able to run the software needed to edit digital pictures at a decent enough speed, but with the 3GHz Intel Pentium 4 contained processor in this Pavilion, that shouldn't be any problem.
This is helpfully complemented by 512Mb of memory and a generous 160Gb hard disk. The memory only takes up one of the four slots on the motherboard, so you can easily add some more at a later date.
The Pavilion comes with a 128Mb ATI Radeon X300SE graphics card. This might struggle with some of the latest 3D games at high detail levels, but it's very capable of dealing with anything else. I've used it with a few games and it handled them all brilliantly so until some new games requiring superior technlogy...

HP TC1100 - Pocket dynamite
Review of HP Compaq Tablet PC TC1100 - Pentium M 1 GHz - 10.4" TFT by
maxmidnight
Advantages: Incredibly slick, lightweight and robust. Toughened screen and powerful.
Disadvantages: Screen display is somewhat 'fiddly', compressed into 10". No extra casing protection.
...Over the past few months, I have been evaluating and rolling out tablet PC's across my organisation within the Health industry. My evaluation has covered the HP Compaq TC1100, the Motion M1200, the Fujitsu Stylistic ST4120, and the Toshiba Portégé 3500. What follows is a brief discussion of the HP TC1100 which I hope will give users some guidance and prove informative.
The HP TC1100 is the most versatile tablet PC design overall. You can use it like a regular notebook with attached keyboard or fold the keyboard under to use it in tablet mode, what sets it apart from the rest however is that it can be totally detached from the keyboard. This was a very attractive proposition and makes for a very slick and streamlined tablet for the truly mobile user. This option makes the device a staggeringly lightweight (3.1 lb) slate. As a pure slate...
