HSBC - Online Banking
Advantages: Saves lots of time
Disadvantages: Very few
...I have had a current account with the HSBC for many years and have not had any problems or hassles that I can think of, I know that many of you will have had bad experiences for one reason or another but I have not. My main moan however is that over the last couple of years it has become increasingly difficult to contact my branch or to see someone in person as most branches only open a few hours a day and now even the two main branches where I live are no longer staffed on Saturdays. As I both work full time Monday to Fridays and I also have my own business I was finding it ever more difficult to get to a branch and so when I was told about their online banking facility I decided to give it a go.
Of course I had the usual concerns about security but a friend had recommended the online banking to me and I was assured that in the event...

INTERNET BANKING WITH HSBC
Advantages: It is simple, easy to use and just excellent
Disadvantages: You need the internet to use it
...HSBC INTERNET BANKING ? www.hsbc.co.uk
I have decided to write this opinion, because I feel that this has been one amazing find of mine. My uncle recommended that I tried Internet banking because you can do so much with it and I thought that I would give it a try.
There are many features that the site has to offer. You can order booklets to help you with your banking and you can register to fully use the site. After you have registered you can easily use the site to look at your accounts
I have two accounts and I can easily look into both of them with a simple click. All of your accounts are on one page and you can click on them to look into them into depth. This then shows your statement, but the reverse way to normal by having the most recent at the top instead of the bottom.
You can also change standing orders, direct...

Banking on HSBC
Advantages: Good web site, friendly, flexible
Disadvantages: None so far!
...I have held an account with HSBC since 1994 and have had no problems whatsoever. It all started with the great student incentives they were offering at the time and as a student you take anything that is free!! Since then I have had no regrets (I've sinced closed a current account with Barclays as they treated me like poo!). I have had a great overdraft facility and absolutely no problems increasing/decreasing this at the drop of a hat.
They are extremely flexible and you actually get to speak to a member of staff at your own bank if you want to (you tend to keep a particular branch even if you move which is good for building up a relationship).
I have had cash flow problems in between jobs etc but everytime they have been extremely understanding. The graduate package is good - a reduced, but free overdraft for 3 years...

HSBC- The best place to bank!
Advantages: Great choice of accounts, helpful friendly staff
Disadvantages: None that spring to mind
...I have a number of accounts with HSBC including two bank accounts and two savings accounts... and hopefully soon a mortgage.
In the past I have banked with Natwest, Nationwide and Northern Rock. I also have a range of other accounts in other places such as ISA's and a mortgage with RBS. I am telling you this to show that I have had experience with other banks and building societys.
I find it easy to say that banking with HSBC I have had the best possible experience. I find the service both in the bank and using online banking to be easy and efficient and completly stress free. I must admit that I also had this experience with Nationwide, but the difference I have found with HSBC is that there is a larger variety of choice and types of accounts to meet the individual need.
I have a normal bank account with HSBC and also bank...

HSBC - The world's local and greediest bank
Advantages: occasional market leading and innovative products
Disadvantages: Absoluetly no customer satisfaction whatsoever
...It has been a very interesting last thirty minutes, reading the reviews of the self titled "worlds local bank" HSBC. It seems that there is a general lack of satisfaction with one the largest banks in the world and it inspired me to share with you my recent dealings with HSBC.
Now I can speak about HSBC as a customer of 5 years and as an ex-employee. I worked as an Financial Planning Manager 2 years in the Hertfordshire area and left about 3 years ago. I and thousands of others left HSBC was for the very reasons that are being aired on this and other review sites. HSBC no longer cares about customer satisfaction. It might not a be a startling revelation to some or even most but having seen, witnessed and experienced it from both sides I can duly understand and empathise with the many frustrations people are having. During my time...

HSBC- Internet Banking
Advantages: seemingly none over telephone banking
Disadvantages: slow and cumbersome site
...I have been a customer of the HSBC (formerly Midland) for some time and recently signed up for their internet banking scheme. I find their site cumbersome and slow, so much so that I have reverted to the telephone to carry out my transactions. HSBC were slow in offering an on-line banking service and one would have thought that they would have managed to get it right- too date I am not impressed. I am assuming things will improve and will persevere. In comparison to other on-line finacial sites including credit card companies which I access on a regular basis this is a poor service....

Internet banking - HSBC
Advantages: Easy to use, secure less time consuming
Disadvantages: When the site is down
...I have recently started to use internet banking with HSBC! Having had my first baby I havn't the time to go to town just to transfer money and to check my statements!
My partner suggested I try it and I am glad I did!
The website itself is full of information on loans, credit cards bank accounts, mortgages, insurances etc! Very neatly set out (but you would expect this from an internet banking site)! It does look very organised but is very easy to use and easy to understand (well HSBC is the peoples bank)!
On the left side of the homepage there is the internet banking link - When you register you are given a 12 character ID, this is much better than a username and you can hide it away and nobody would ever guess it! Once you input this number you have two passwords to put in - the first being your date of birth (okay so this is...

Bad Customer Service HSBC Bank
Advantages: Nothing that other banks do not provide
Disadvantages: Poor Telephone Service
...Problems at HSBC!!!!
I have never had such a terrible experience with customer service.
Now, you could easily turn the other cheek if this were a mobile phone company but the fact they are looking after your money scares me. The problem starts when you are actually trying carry out your business via telephone banking. They obviously do not have a system in place in which they can log all correspondence with their clients. When I needed to organise my finances I ended up being passed from pillar to post trying to get answers of which I had to explain to every single person what I wanted before being informed that they cannot handle it and then passed the buck on again. Just the tip of the iceberg as from here I had very bad financial advice and was hounded by prank phone calls demanding small amounts of money that was not due to be...

HSBC GOOD BANK
Advantages: OVERDRAFT
Disadvantages: NOT ENOUGH Branchs
...HSBC BANKING
Well I have used HSBC bank for five years and I think they are great. On line banking is good as well. There is all sorts off accounts to suit your borrow needs. And overdraft service is good on the Account plus. And you have worldwide family travel insurance. They offer flexible accessible banking that put you in control. You can choose how you contact them.
The Telephone banking is very good would recommened it as the call centre people are polite and helpful. But if you have the Internet it is just as good but as you can see you have a number of ways of contacting them. Their Internet banking site is easy to use. You can move your money from one account to other without going into the branch. The bank is great. And they have 24-hour telephone service. Now I thought this was very helpful they have services...

HSBC Bank: A truely Global bank
Advantages: Modern, prompt, user friendly
Disadvantages: Not too many branches
...This is a very helpful and customer friendly bank.
Opening acount here were much more easier than other banks. They were very prompt, too.
Accounts here can be managed easily by phone and/or internet. I mostly use internet banking. In last two years I did not visit the branch for more than 2/3 times. Internet banking is available 24/7 and the site is very user friendly.
I have a current account, a savings account and a credit card...all of which can be accessed over the internet at the same place, Transferring money between these accounts and paying credit card bills is also very easy over the internet.
I use always either the switch debit card or the mastercard credit card provided by HSBC and they can be used almost everywhere. I transferred money to/from my other international accounts in other countries and these were very...
