... The HTC Hero
I test and review a lot of mobile phones, but in a mobile phone market dominated by Apple, Blackberry, Samsung and Nokia, I can't help but have a soft spot for HTC; I think it is a British thing, a love for the underdog? But as much as I admire HTC, I can't help but worry that in trying to take on competitors like the iPhone their new HTC Hero is punching above its weight. So I turned it on to find out?
Appearance
When I was told that I was finally going to get my hands on HTC's latest handset, I thought I'd better do a bit of research? but when saw the publicity pictures I feared the worst? It looked a lot like its predecessor the T-Mobile G1, with that Jimmy Hill like chin. This was a bad start for me; I love the design of all of HTC's handsets, except one? the T-Mobile G1, so I wasn't expecting...
Advantages: Well made, interface is surprisingly good, Android apps are excellent Disadvantages: Battery life could be better, no bluetooth data transfer capability
...available on Orange.
The choices were limited and having sustained a poor Blackberry experience for 18 months I was keen to explore new avenues. Luckily the HTC Hero presented itself to me as a viable option and despite having seen the television advertising campaign a couple of months prior and mocking it's cringe worthy 'Hero' branding I still took the plunge as it posed the most impressive package from the choices available to me.
Out of the box:
At this time I was still adamant that I wanted and IPhone and realised that the HTC Hero was easily fetching £300 on auction sites. I thought to myself "as soon as I take it out of the box I'll know whether to keep it or sell it for an IPhone". Indeed as I removed it from the box I immediately noticed how well built the phone is. It's of reassuring weight and the teflon finish of the Graphite...
Advantages: Full QWERTY, Wlan, office tools, touch flo technology Disadvantages: Too heavy
...Hi friends HTC is a bit different from the rest company, yes its true that its just like a newbie because its not in the market since a very long time but believe me the company has made its reportation quite good in a really short intance of time... ok now lets talk about this handset.. i purchased this handset last year i thought its too expensive for me but still anyways i purchased it... the first impression of the phone was really cool and porsche and when i used it i really came to know how cool it is.. first of all this mobile phone is just like a PDA not a cell phone as its based on windows mobile platform... and this handset has a very unique feature of touch flo technology that makes it easy to also scroll with ur fingers.. all the useful and important icons are just o the standby menu waiting for your finger to touch...

Review of HTC Touch Pro
Advantages: well designed, good touchscreen, good QWERTY keypad, improved sofware, good widescreen display Disadvantages: Expensive, no spec bump, no flash module, heavy
... HTC Touch Pro 2
It wasn't all too long ago that I was eagerly awaiting the arrival of HTC's first Touch Pro handset, but when I did get my hands on it I was a little disappointed. I obviously wasn't the only one as I now have in my hand the new version, the HTC Touch Pro2. Even with its improved software and a very nicely designed tilt screen, I still needed to be convinced this was a serious alternative to competitive Smartphone's like the iPhone 3GS, Nokia N97 and the host of available BlackBerry's.
Design and Features
There is no denying that the new Pro2 is a very visually appealing handset, the 3.6 inch touchscreen allows for a 480x800 widescreen VGA resolution, using a customised version of the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 OS. Although it is very 'business' like in appearance, its metal and black...

Review of HTC Touch Pro 2
Advantages: Pretty easy to use because of a plugin Disadvantages: Little sluggish just like a WM6 pro device
...I have been using an HTC Touch myself for about more than five months now. It comes in two variants, one which has 64mb ram and other which has 128mb. The more the ram, faster the device is. Till date, the product hasn't given me any problems. The ease of use of this phone is just too fantastic and has an especially a fantastic plugin called the 3d Touch cube. This cube helps in navigating through the vip contacts stored on one page then on to multimedia, consisting of photos, music and videos {on one page}. Then comes the system management , consisting of E-mail, sms, IE, tasks, Communication manager and then calendar on one page. Total of three faces of the 3d cube, which help in controlling almost whole of the phone. The camera being 2mp is exceptionally sharp. The HTC home plugin provided makes the phone pretty easy to use...
Advantages: Customizable, Great video, User-Friendly Disadvantages: Weak Battery, Faulty software
...The HTC Touch is a reliable mobile phone with many perks and downfalls, which would depend mostly on your familiarity with electronics.. The phone uses Windows Mobile 6 software which is a very customizable software which can allow you to add programs, games, software which you may want or need. the downfall to this is it requires being able to find the files and programs which you need that can then all be loaded to your phone via ActiveSync software which comes with the phone when purchased.. the phone is great for calls, texting, mobile internet browsing, video Players, pictures and video recording.
The downfall to the HTC Touch is that it can from time to time run very slowly..its pricy for the issues that it may have down the road, without frequent updates the software on the phone may become slow and problems with the phone...
Advantages: Thin Form factor, Software customizability, PDA features, Windows compatibilty Disadvantages: No GPS, 3G and hardware keyboard
...The HTC Touch is a decent PDA (Windows Mobile 6) powered smartphone, which is particularly great due to its thin form factor and light weight. The HTC Touch is mainly touch operated and proposes a 'revolutionary' Touch Flo interface. The strength of the touch is that interface and applciations can be completely customised through some tweaking available at xdadevelopers.com, and in fact mine Touch is mainly now finger touch operated, making the stlyus mainly reduntant.
The Touch however is slightly underpowered (you will notice this underpower when using some power hungry apps such as opening a picture hungry webpage), has no GPS and no 3G connectivity. The touch is recommended for those which are on a tight budget, require a good pda and a decent phone but not the ultimate technology. I am very satisfied with it and would...
Advantages: large library of programs for download Disadvantages: No Wifi, Camera poor, touch screen for stylus not fingers.
...The HTC Touch dual is a slick PDA/mobile phone, made of mostly a black rubbery plastic lined around the outside with a silver plastic. The case contains 3 hardware buttons, a touch pad and touch sensitive screen. The case can slide out to reveal a 16 button keypad. On the back is a 2 mega pixels camera without flash.
The HTC touch dual runs on Windows mobile 6.0 which comes with many useful programs, such as Word mobile, Excel Mobile etc. There are also many programs that can be downloaded from the internet for free or for a small fee. However, like my experience with most Microsoft software there are times when the phone will crash or slow to a halt.
The touch screen is good and mostly responds well when using the stylus. However, when using your finger the story is a different matter. Most of the buttons on windows mobile 6.0 are too...

Review of HTC Touch Dual
Advantages: good accesibility Disadvantages: less compact if you use a life extended battery
...case barely changes. The only disadvantage with this bigger battery is that it makes the phone less compact as its back side will be thicker.
7.You can succesfully play on it different types of games, you can take decent photos, you can write or design using differnt editing programs and a lot more.
8.The control button on its left side gives you acces to enabling very fast the bluetooth,ir beam, wireless adaptor
Finally this phone is for me a great one and the fact that I used it already for 1 year with no problems shows from an experienced opinion that HTC made a good model with this cell phone.
Thank you...

Review of HTC Wizard
Advantages: Good looking, easy to use, internal GPS reciever, mobile broadband, pocket PC Disadvantages: Short battery life, low resolution camera, software problems
...The HTC Touch Diamond is, in my opinion, a classy looking phone. The back cover features a faceted design which does indeed mimic the surface of a diamond.
Once I'd got the hang of the ''Touch-Flo'' menu system it became very simple to use. Now that I've experienced this touch screen phone I'm not sure that I'd want to go back to the old style of phones, which rely on a keypad to navigate around the menu system. The great thing about the Diamond is that you can literally just touch the icons on the screen and it will take you directly to the application you want to use. The phones main functions are arranged in a horizontal menu and can be reached by stroking the screen in the direction you want to go. A nice feature of Touch-Flo includes the user's ability to zoom in on web pages and text pages by gently stroking the screen in...
