Review - The HTC Touch Pro 2

Advantages: well designed, good touchscreen, good QWERTY keypad, improved sofware, good widescreen display
Disadvantages: Expensive, no spec bump, no flash module, heavy

...hasn't been, I don't really understand why, especially when you consider that HTC did upgrade the camera of the Pro2's sister model, the Touch Diamond2. But what baffled me the most was that HTC chose to remove the flash module? WHY?! While the Pro2 is much lighter than the original, but it still weighs 175g with the battery, this is a huge improvement, but looking on the bright side, you won't loose it? you will definitly still know when its in your pocket. While the Pro2 has benefited from software updates, it is not the same story with the hardware, which is almost identical to the original. While this is not a major issue, I would warn anyone who owns the original Touch Pro, looking to the Pro2 for a spec bump, this isn't the case. Review of HTC Touch Pro 2

HTC touch pro - the worst phone I have EVER had

Advantages: Robust, lots of programmes
Disadvantages: Lousy battery life, poor sound quality, crashes a lot, fiddly keyboard

.../size/feel of it. The qwerty keyboard was something new for me to play with and for a couple of weeks I was quite happy. Then I started to find it very irritating and gradually gew to hate it. The slide out keyboard is so annoying, you are continually turning the phone on its side to type and then back the other way to use the phone, doesn't sound much but if you use it a lot it starts to really annoy. It crashes quite regularly if you have several programmes running. The alarm would not switch off after a few months without doing a soft reset. This also happened on my 2nd and 3rd HTC touch pro... so obviously a fault. The battery is rubbish, I had to remember to carry around a charger or it would not last me through a working day. I have now switched to a Nokia E63 and it is just so amazing compared with the Touch Pro, the battery life...

Review of HTC Touch Pro

HTC Touch 2 - An Excellent smart phone for beginnners.

Advantages: Clear Screen, Quick to use and easy to Learn.
Disadvantages: None

...Before there was finger touch smart phones, the popular way of doing things with a phone was the stylus and that is something that this phone keeps true to and to be honest that is not a bad thing. In it's grey design it offers a nice clear screen and 4 buttons at the bottom. Everything else apart from volume is controlled by using the stylus. The phone runs Windows Mobile 6.5 which is quick to setup and runs very well. I can honestly say that in all the years I have had this phone, crashes have been few and far between. The phone integrates what is called touch flow which is a scrolling set of menu items which you 'flow' through to find the icon you are after. this can however be turned off and you can go back to the more traditional layout of Windows Mobile.
