An excellent modem

Advantages: reliable, fast
Disadvantages: None

...My ZOOM 56K V90 Dual Modem has been the best modem I have ever had. When I purchased a new machine it came with its own PCI modem, however this soon came out and was replace with my trusty zoom when I started getting cut off from my ISP. I regularly axchieve speeds of up to 52K and with a usual connection at 49,333 bps. The modem is fitted internally and has been in service now for almost 2 years without any sign of breakdown. Trusty, reliable and fast are the best way I can describe it. With a Flash Circuit I can even upgrade it should the need arise. A great modem at a very reasonable price. Customer support is excellent too....

...I was given this modem by Vodafone when I signed up for their 'At home' service. In case you are interested this gives you broadband and home phone if you are already a mobile customer. The modem is great, it looks sleek and modern. There are four lights, the bottom light shows it is plugged in to the mains, the second shows it is communicating with your computer, third shows the broadband connection is working and finally the fourth shows that you are actually connected to the internet. I did not have to install anything, just plugged it in, entered my username and password and hey presto it worked. ...The Netgear DG834PN is the latest version of the DG834 and combines an ADSL modem with a wireless router and 4 port switch. In plain English, this plugs in your phone socket and allows one or more PCs to share the connection via either a wired or wireless link. T.Mobile Web 'n' Walk USB Modem.- 10Gb

Advantages: Good for surfing the net on the move, downloading music and watching youtube.
Disadvantages: Forget about playing online games or downloading large files. 1st line support is indian.

I get around 60KB-130KB and its been the same no matter where in the country ive been, And ive used the service in scotland england and wales The service goes down at least a few hours a week, once it went down for 2 weeks and after calling india 10 times who's only advice was to unplug the usb modem and plug it back in again they put me through to a uk based technician who managed to get it sorted. If you do not feel like waiting 45mins to speak to someone you can always email support on the t-mobile website and they will ring you back usually a day later. Recently I took the sim card out...
