Modulate The Modulus
Advantages: Lightweight, Decent Protection
Disadvantages: Easy To Be Given Out
....
The front of the pad is where the real modulus technology comes in, and oddly enough where I have my first problem. Now, I'm not in any shape to go into the LBW law of cricket, but save to say that having a distinct panel slap bang in the middle of the pad, kind of lends itself to getting yourself out. If you get hit on this part of the pad, the ball will inevitably leave a mark, making it pretty clear to the umpire *exactly* where the ball hit you.
This strip is where the pads get their name. The modules hane a gel foam filled core with extensive air pockets, giving a higher level of cushioning when the ball strikes them. The remainder of the front of the pad is of the same ridges that you will find in 99% of pads on the market. They are designed to deflect the ball more than provide real protection, but perform this function fine...

The perfect modulation of Horror and Comedy.
Advantages: Improves on the original is nearly everyway. Bruce Campbell is the man!. A trumendous blend of genres.
Disadvantages: Your mother might not like it...
...the best film of it's type full stop and not just a great horror comedy, but one that is stunning when compared to any movie. EVIL DEAD 2 works so well because it is a perfect modulation of genre types and will probably never be bettered in its field....

Kingston 512mb Micro Dimm Module
Advantages: Fast Service
Disadvantages: None
...I ordered a Kingston 512mb Micro Dimm Module, DDR333 PC2700 from digital-fusion.co.uk on a Monday - and it was delivered the next day via City-Link; Fantastic speed - good packaging in anti-static plastic box - excellent product from Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the world?s independent memory leader - at the a very, very reasonable price compared to other well-known online etailers or even the online auction-house ebay. It only took a few minutes to add the memory and - oh boy - what a difference in speed for the overall system performance! Programs now starts a lot quicker, I can have more programs running at the same time, even switching between programs is a lot snappier now! i couldn't be happier and I will certainly use digital-fusion.co.u again for my memory needs!! Definitely would recommend them to all my friends! A...

As a Textbook for Econometrics Module
Advantages: It covers most if not all the syllabus in the Econometrics module.
Disadvantages: It's somewhat dated compared to its new edition rivals
...The book is very organised and structured, not to mention easy to use. You can quickly find whatever information you need. Gujarati's book can be used as the sole text book for the first Econometrics module in the university, although you might wish to refer to other recommended readings since, unfortunately, the latest edition of the book is still quite dated, and therefore, you might encounter some less modern and fashionable approaches to a few problems in Econometrics. Due to this reason, you might discover that it sometimes gives more attention to a couple of topics that are no longer considered as important as they once were, and is rather easy on one or two topics which have risen in importance over time. But over all, it is less dry than most other text books, and certainly covers all and more than you want to know about...

No such thing as too many backups
Advantages: Fast, cheap, works
Disadvantages: Small enough to lose
...The backup module is to my mind the one absolute must-have accessory for the Visors. It is an 8Mb flash module that slots in the Springboard slot, and makes a copy of the contents of the memory of the Visor - all the appointments, settings, phone numbers, programs - everything. And it does it within a couple of minutes.
Once inserted, the Visor runs the backup software on the module, giving you the option to back up the Visor or restore from the backup module. Select the option, and off it goes. When it is done, pull the module out and the Visor goes back to whatever it was doing beforehand.
This was my first introduction to Springboard modules, and I was extremely impressed at the way it just... worked. No fuss, no need to install anything additional, just slot it in and go.
I have had to use the module in anger a couple...

NAVMAN F20 with T1 Traffic module
Advantages: Has nearly everything you could want in a Gps
Disadvantages: Lack of a manual Block road function makes it useless
...This is my 3rd GPS and what a bargain for £200 you get all the normal functions plus speed camera database ( which you have to pay to update) and the T1 module, which gives live traffic updates to reroute you.
I was very happy until I became aware of the lack of a manual block road function. Like I said this is my 3rd gps and a block road function is a very useful basic tool which has been invaluable on my previous GPS's. You arrive in a strange area and the road ahead is blocked for what ever reason now normally I would block the road and the gps will route me around the blockage. With the F20 you do not have this option, if the T1 does not list the blockage, (It does not list all local traffic info).
You have resort to driving off in a different direction and try to guess when the F20 decides it's found a different route...

Where am I?..aha...eight satellites in view
Advantages: small, very sensitive, 17 hour battery length
Disadvantages: cost
...are three lights on the front - battery low warning, GPS locked/unlocked, and bluetooth connected/disconnected.
Operation is simple. Turn the GPS unit on and pair your bluetooth device to the GPS. After about 45s from cold, the GPS should have locked on to satellites in the area. This latest receiver is excellent in the fact that it is so sensitive it can lock on to satellites even when used indoors, and also has greater sensitivity to help when you get 'urban canyon' effects where previous GPS modules would lose lock.
The GPS is also advanced in that the unit can attain a more precise position than previous generations. If you are a walker, then previous GPS sometimes only use to update position every 50m due to positional inaccuracy. This version comes preset to generate the position to within 10m, so is much more useful for slow...

Roland JV1080
Advantages: quality & quantity of sounds
Disadvantages: bit tricky to programme
...the roland jv1080 i own is not used to its full capacity. It has great high quality sounds and an effects section but using it has been a bit of a chore. I tend to stick to preset sounds of which there are around 664, then theres performance mode and the rhythm sets. There are 40 effects but its a bit tricky assigning them. I tend to do everything I need withing Cakewalk Pro Audio rather than touch the JV panel! The outputs are a bit limited. I would have liked an output for each midi channel.
The owner manual is a bit mind blowing as well, with little diagrams of how the sounds are made up, ring modulators and other things you dont really need to know. Im a musician and just wanted to get some sounds out of it. At the time I bought the jv1080 it was £700, this has probably dropped dramatically by now. Overall it has been a useful sound...
