...As some of you may already know, I have recently returned from a lovely break in Houston, Texas. The main reason for our trip was to go to "Wrestlemania", the WWE's large yearly event. Yes it is slightly sad to travel 5000 miles for wrestling, but you only live once and I am indeed sad! To ensure the expense and hassle would be worth it, we added an additional 7 night's holiday to the trip, making it a 10 night get away. We booked our wrestling part of the trip direct with WWE and thought the packages sounded like the best deal for our money. Included was 3 nights in the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Houston as well as a lot of other boring wrestling things I won't bore you with! ;) My initial reaction when we were told and confirmed on the package, of where we would be staying for the last 3 nights of our trip, I was ecstatic...

TAKE YOU HYATT

Advantages: That presidential suite looks nice, good views over the city
Disadvantages: Service isn't fantastic, above budget for the average traveller

The Highest Hyatt? Maybe.

Disadvantages: Outside of town, boring breakfast

...I was quite excited to be visiting Kathmandu. The roof of the world, the Himalayas, Yaks, Yetis, and all that. I was on a short business trip so I knew that I wouldn't have time to take the fantastic dawn Everest flight (thankfully I was wrong about that!) or go yak-spotting (right on this one though). but still - Kathmandu! Nepal! The mystery, the mystique, mysticism, Miss Yeti! Given the choice I might have picked a more "local" place to stay, or gone to the famous Yak and Yeti, but someone else was paying the bill and had booked me into the Hyatt. There is 2 Hyatts in Mumbai, one is called the Grand Hyatt, the other just the Hyatt. Ok first of all when I seen the outside of this Hotel I was well impressed, although I was a little worried about the security..first of all when we drove in the underneath of the car was checked...then as we drove to the front I seen 2 dog handlers and a metal detector that you have to walk through after you get all your bags checked... Hyatt is high on our list

Advantages: Close to the Airport, free shuttle
Disadvantages: Rooms overlooking the Atrium can be noisy

...When we fly into San Francisco, we usually arrive late afternoon or early evening. As we have a four-hour drive ahead of us to reach our final destination (and our body clocks are telling us it's the wee hours of the morning) we always get a hotel near the airport. Our main aim is to collapse into bed and recover from the flight. Price is the main deciding factor, and we have stayed at several hotels over the years. I tend to search the internet for good deals, and this time it came up with the Hyatt at a reasonable price. ...I had never been to New York until the 29th December, so I had no idea were to stay and how much I would need to be paying. Lucky for me I was travelling with some relatives who booked the holiday so I didn't have to spend forever trawling the Internet.
