...As some of you may already know, I have recently returned from a lovely break in Houston, Texas. The main reason for our trip was to go to "Wrestlemania", the WWE's large yearly event. Yes it is slightly sad to travel 5000 miles for wrestling, but you only live once and I am indeed sad! To ensure the expense and hassle would be worth it, we added an additional 7 night's holiday to the trip, making it a 10 night get away. We booked our wrestling part of the trip direct with WWE and thought the packages sounded like the best deal for our money. Included was 3 nights in the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Houston as well as a lot of other boring wrestling things I won't bore you with! ;) My initial reaction when we were told and confirmed on the package, of where we would be staying for the last 3 nights of our trip, I was ecstatic...

TAKE YOU HYATT

Advantages: That presidential suite looks nice, good views over the city
Disadvantages: Service isn't fantastic, above budget for the average traveller

The Highest Hyatt? Maybe.

Advantages: Stylish room, good service, Rox!
Disadvantages: Outside of town, boring breakfast

First Impressions The Hyatt Regency is not far from the airport and it was dark as we arrived, but I could still see that the building dwarfed everything around it. Hyatt is high on our list

Advantages: Close to the Airport, free shuttle
Disadvantages: Rooms overlooking the Atrium can be noisy

...When we fly into San Francisco, we usually arrive late afternoon or early evening. As we have a four-hour drive ahead of us to reach our final destination (and our body clocks are telling us it's the wee hours of the morning) we always get a hotel near the airport. Our main aim is to collapse into bed and recover from the flight. Price is the main deciding factor, and we have stayed at several hotels over the years. I tend to search the internet for good deals, and this time it came up with the Hyatt at a reasonable price. Cynical exploitation from a greedy hotel chain

Disadvantages: Exploited to the full during a workers strike, no room services

...'t have to confront them most of the time. The times we did go out of the main entrance they briefly looked at us but didn't say anything. I do support their right to strike, but I was finding it a bit taxing on my holiday! Anyway, I will endeavour to report on the hotel irrespective of my bad experience. LOCATION The Hyatt Regency is on Jeanne-Mance. This is a very central location, to the east of downtown, and you are a minute away from the easterly extremes of the main shopping street, Rue St Catherine. There is also a side door from the hotel leading directly to the underground city (see previous review for explanation of this), which would be very handy in the wintertime. Grand Hyatt Mumbai

...I stayed in the Grand Hyatt for 12 wks. I must admit when I landed in Mumbai I was surprised of how close this hotel is to the airport...15mins. There is 2 Hyatts in Mumbai, one is called the Grand Hyatt, the other just the Hyatt. Ok first of all when I seen the outside of this Hotel I was well impressed, although I was a little worried about the security..first of all when we drove in the underneath of the car was checked...then as we drove to the front I seen 2 dog handlers and a metal detector that you have to walk through after you get all your bags checked... I suppose this is a good thing these days, so I wont complain about that!!!
