It has been many years since I last went, so I decided to book up a holiday with my husband, parents and younger siblings through The Sun Newspaper summer holiday deals to visit my childhood. Through this, we were allocated 'Lower Hyde Holiday Park' in Shanklin, Isle of Wight. HYDE PARKS OWN WINTER WONDERLAND

Advantages: Pretty Lights, right on top of the tune station, the aroma of wine!
Disadvantages: Expensive, crowded, too dark, too far.

A Bit Jekyll and Hyde!

Advantages: Good story, some ethical debate, some great characters
Disadvantages: Predictable and stereotypical in places: doesn't live up to its full potential

However, Diana runs the local abortion clinic and has been a target of so-called "pro-life" protesters - their "protests" including small bombs and death threats. Amid all this tumult is Megan, Diana and Frank's daughter. She studies at a local Colorado college, but lives in dorms, and had an argument with her mother on the morning of the day she died. Megan feels incredibly guilty about this and it doesn't help that her father is the main suspect or that they have to move out of their home, which has now become a crime scene. On top of all this, Megan has her own problems: she's being stalked by her high school boyfriend, who is unable to cope with the fact that she broke up with him. I wouldn't Hyde behind the sofa.

...I was in Blockbusters browsing through the DVDs for some decent deals. I came across this film "Jekyll + Hyde" which looks like the sort of film i generall tend to like. A gory, low-ish budget horror film. So i bought it in the 4 for £10, therefore costing me £2.50. (This is pre-owned). *****Appearance***** The case is bright white with a hand on holding a small medical instrument dripping with blood. This is a relevant picture to the film as there is a moderate amount of gore in it. This is one of the best things about this DVD, the front cover looks very clean and sharp. There are 2 taglines on the case. These are "Everyone has a monster within" and "Think you know the story? Think again." Again, these are accurate for the film and are both quite thought provoking. Thistle Hyde Park, London

Advantages: Outstanding Views, best hotel in London i've stayed at
Disadvantages: couldn't fault it

...I stayed at this Hotel last year, and have been to London 4 times since. Ive stayed in over 10 hotels in the capital and can honestly say this has been my favourite hotel. The views over Hyde Park were gorgeous and gave a lovely view of the london eye, and the flight path. The rooms were a good size and layed out well. It wasn't unclean at all. The staff were extremely helpful and went out their way to help you. The breakfast was gorgeous and provided a great choice. The hotel was close to the local tube station, and close to notting hill and shops. It was central to oxford street and all that London has to offer, without been slap bang in the middle. Only downfall i suppose ( the only one) was that it was upstairs to a petrol station yet it wasnt a problem for me. I would recommend this hotel 100% and enjoyed my stay....

Jekyll and Hyde - A tale of two men in one body

Advantages: Sometimes interesting, grotesque
Disadvantages: gets boring

...Stevenson tells us a lot about Victorian society in this book. The upper and middle classes were often superficial and hypocritical with regard to their morality. They thought it was acceptable behaviour to appear respectable on the surface, while at the same time dabbling in various forms of immoral behaviour. In the book, much of the clandestine behaviour occurs when it is foggy or dark, which helps to imply the hidden nature of their immoral behaviour. Poverty and squalor were part of everyday life for the lower classes in the cities of Victorian England. The poor were often desperate so turned to criminal activities. The upper classes thought of criminals as very different from themselves, almost a different species. Stevenson implies this by his descriptions of Mr Hyde as being "savage" and "ape-like". Jekyll and Hyde, A Victorian Horror

Advantages: Characters, especially the evil Edward Hyde
Disadvantages: The middle section is boring and tedious

...Introduction ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ This Victorian classic was written by Robert Louis Stevenson written in 1886. The book surprised me as it is only 88 pages long! The book has good points and bad points. The good points are the end as it brings the story to a close with an excellent ending. The main bad point is the exceptional boring middle section to the book where nothing much happens. In that respect the book is similar to the main character(s) as there is a good: Henry Jekyll and the evil Edward Hyde. This is the same in the book, but there are good and bad points. Setting ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The book is set in Victorian London, near Cavendish Square, mainly in the dark back streets and mostly at night. You already know this Victorian-era story: good Dr. Jekyll brews himself some potions in his laboratory, and after drinking them his body deforms and he becomes the evil Mr. Hyde. Hyde park rules

Advantages: An exit from the art race

...Hyde park was once a deer park for Henry the 8th when all that surrounded it was countryside, now just under half a millenium later the surrounding city doesn't hinder it's beauty. The size of the park is sufficient to get away from the fumes, hustle and bustle and noise of London city. If your visiting London for the first time Hyde park is a must, It goes with Big Ben, the tower of London and all things cockney. Hyde park is also a centre of sport and leisure, dogs are regularly walked (although the park rangers do a good job of keeping it clean!) It has its very own laid back atmosphere which is such a contrast to the surroundings....
