...Hyde Park - Winter Wonderland 2007 At Christmas 2007, we decided to take the family to Hyde Park for the Winter Wonderland Experience. It had been very well advertised and the flyer portrayed an image similar to what you might expect in Austria or Germany during the festive season. The website looked impressive too, so how could we not go and enjoy the festive delights of London. Hyde Park is One of London's finest landscapes, covering 350 acres of park land. In the summer months, there is something for everyone with over 4,000 trees, a lake, Princess Diana Memorial Fountain, a meadow, horse rides, abundance of street entertainers and the obligatory ice cream van; it is easy to forget you're in the middle of London. Advantages: Outstanding Views, best hotel in London i've stayed at
Disadvantages: couldn't fault it

...I stayed at this Hotel last year, and have been to London 4 times since. Ive stayed in over 10 hotels in the capital and can honestly say this has been my favourite hotel. The views over Hyde Park were gorgeous and gave a lovely view of the london eye, and the flight path. The rooms were a good size and layed out well. It wasn't unclean at all. The staff were extremely helpful and went out their way to help you. The breakfast was gorgeous and provided a great choice. The hotel was close to the local tube station, and close to notting hill and shops. It was central to oxford street and all that London has to offer, without been slap bang in the middle. Only downfall i suppose ( the only one) was that it was upstairs to a petrol station yet it wasnt a problem for me. I would recommend this hotel 100% and enjoyed my stay....

...Hyde park was once a deer park for Henry the 8th when all that surrounded it was countryside, now just under half a millenium later the surrounding city doesn't hinder it's beauty. The size of the park is sufficient to get away from the fumes, hustle and bustle and noise of London city. If your visiting London for the first time Hyde park is a must, It goes with Big Ben, the tower of London and all things cockney. Hyde park is also a centre of sport and leisure, dogs are regularly walked (although the park rangers do a good job of keeping it clean!) It has its very own laid back atmosphere which is such a contrast to the surroundings....

...When I got to the checkout on my last shopping trip I suddenly remembered that I had forgotten to get my usual multi purpose wipes so asked hubby to go and grab a packet. Now I have been using the same brand for a very long time but for some reason hubby could not remember which ones they were and came back with these ones. I did let him off though as I did need them for the bathroom and decided I would try these instead. ~~THE PACKET~~ The wipes come in a flat packet which is very similar to a packet of baby wipes. It is blue in colour and has the product name at the top with a picture of a shiny bathroom and under this is a red rectangle which contains the claims that these wipes will remove soap scum and control the build up of lime scale. ...I recently walked past Hyde park at about 10:00pm, and was reminded of what a truly beautiful place it is. What makes it so special I think is its position - it is smack bang in the middle of the nicest area in London - right next to the Albert Hall (and the beautiful Albert Memorial), with views stretching to Parliament and the Hilton. It is also beautifully manicured and all the paths are perfectly smooth - a skater's dream. And, what's more, it's free - you don't have to pay any entrance fee or toll to get in, you just stroll through the gates and there you are. If you're in the area, check it out....

...The Corus hotel is based at Lancaster Gate, London. Rather nicely it sits opposite Hyde Park which gives you an opportunity to spend some relaxing time of a morning or evening. Checking in As I arrived at my hotel (paid for by my company) I was quite pleasantly surprised, in the Lobby the walls are covered with a beige marble; this then turns to white paintwork. My initial impression was that the location was a bit fancy for a company placement. I was cheerfully greeted by Wee Wee and Wee Lee who took a lot of time and effort to explain the hotel facilities, the surrounding location and how easy it was to reach my room. This was by far the most professional reception I have ever received in a London hotel. The Room My room had a price tag of £89 per night which included a full English breakfast. Bathroom Mousse

...I bought this on recommendation from a friend and colleague, who uses it for cleaning at work as well as at home. She said it does the job where other cleaners are just not good enough, so I promptly went out and bought some. I paid £1.05 in Tesco, which I thought was surprisingly cheap for a big name brand like Cif. Cif claim that this bathroom mousse gives brilliant results with minimum effort. You just need to spray the mousse on, leave it 5-10 minutes, and rinse it off. It's suitable for use on plastic, enamel and chrome surfaces. The mousse comes in a tall cylindrical can with a see-through lime green domes lid. The top has the usual mousse-can spray, with a button at one side of the nozzle, which you just press down and out squirts the mousse.
