It had been very well advertised and the flyer portrayed an image similar to what you might expect in Austria or Germany during the festive season. Victoria Park Plaza Hotel, London It's More Than A Hotel!

Advantages: Pleasant Staff, Good Customer Service, Nice Breakfast
Disadvantages: Expensive

...The Victoria Park Plaza in London is an amazing hotel that has very comfortable, quality rooms and staff who are friendly and professional. The best thing about The Victoria Park Plaza is that it is in a prime position just two minutes from Victoria Station and an easy walk to some of London's main attractions. I found it perfect for shopping and buying souvenirs. There were also quite a number of restaurants close by and my mum who cannot walk far didn't complain once. Although we ate at the hotel we also sampled London's China Town. It is a four star hotel and lives up to the standard. It is situated close to Buckingham Palace, Harrods, Westminster Abbey and Houses of Parliament. The hotel does not allow smoking anywhere near the building which my mum and I really appreciated because we are both none smokers. The smoking ban made...

...I stayed at this Hotel last year, and have been to London 4 times since. Ive stayed in over 10 hotels in the capital and can honestly say this has been my favourite hotel. The views over Hyde Park were gorgeous and gave a lovely view of the london eye, and the flight path. The rooms were a good size and layed out well. It wasn't unclean at all. The staff were extremely helpful and went out their way to help you. The breakfast was gorgeous and provided a great choice. The hotel was close to the local tube station, and close to notting hill and shops. It was central to oxford street and all that London has to offer, without been slap bang in the middle. Only downfall i suppose ( the only one) was that it was upstairs to a petrol station yet it wasnt a problem for me. I would recommend this hotel 100% and enjoyed my stay....

The pleasent Park Hotel

Advantages: Excellent food, brilliant service & good value
Disadvantages: Can be quite expensive if you are trying to work to a budget

...the summer months, mainly when the indoor ones are closed. The hotel has a small fitness centre, shooting alley, table tennis table & a boccia court which can be used free of charge. The hotel also has a sauna, massage & beauty parlour & hairdressers, which can all be used but a charge will be made, I am unaware of the charge of these things, as I didn't have time to enjoy these facilities L THE DÉCOR The hotel has a nice modern feel to it with bright walls & furnishings. All of the rooms & public areas go well together all the carpets are nice neutral colours & the furniture & walls are a nice peachy colour, with darker coloured furniture. ...The Corus hotel is based at Lancaster Gate, London. Rather nicely it sits opposite Hyde Park which gives you an opportunity to spend some relaxing time of a morning or evening. Checking in As I arrived at my hotel (paid for by my company) I was quite pleasantly surprised, in the Lobby the walls are covered with a beige marble; this then turns to white paintwork. My initial impression was that the location was a bit fancy for a company placement. I was cheerfully greeted by Wee Wee and Wee Lee who took a lot of time and effort to explain the hotel facilities, the surrounding location and how easy it was to reach my room. ...and nothing out of the ordinary upon arrival into the hotel I simply stated my name and my booking was retrieved as with most hotels I needed to provide an imprint of my card incase any damage occured to the room and incase I did a moonlight flit!! I was then presented with a key card and directed to my room, there were 3 lifts in the hotel and easy to find as they were centrally located in the lobby area, all the rooms are clearly labelled with the numbers and signs indicate which way to go to access your room. The hotel advertised 390 bedrooms and this showed as when I entered my bedroom it was tiny, and resembled that of a cabin on board an economy cruise I walked through the door and the bed took up most of the room to the right with a small window that did not offer the view of Hyde Park and opposite the door to the room was a desk with tea...

On lastminute.com they have this promo called 'Top Secret Hotels,' this basically means that they tell you where you are staying in terms of location but don't tell you the name of the hotel until after you book. After looking for top secret hotels near me, I decided I would crack the system. There was a short description of the hotel on the website; some person had named the restaurant in the 'secret' hotel so I googled the restaurant and it came up with Chilston park.
