The long and the (very) short: Hyundai's newest model

Advantages: Cheap purchase price, low running costs, ideal in urban areas, comfortable, 5 year warranty
Disadvantages: Not in the slightest prestigious, looks that aren't to everyone's taste

...the Hyundai range. All I knew at the time was that Hyundai was a South Korean company. Perhaps not a company that blazes trails, they do nevertheless have a solid reputation for building cheap yet decent cars which come with 5 year warranties. Two test drives later, I happily raided my piggy bank for the purchase price of an i10. So what exactly is my new pride and joy? My specific model is an i10 Classic. The i10 is the smallest in Hyundai?s? newest ranges which also features, imaginatively, the i20 and i30. Of the three in the i10 range, I opted for the entry level model, albeit with a 1.2 litre engine rather than the 1.1 also on sale. For those inclined to pimp up their cars, the other two trim levels included a rear spoiler, heated front seats and alloy wheels, but what?s the point in a car of this size...

Hyundai "Tragic" 2.0 Auto MPV

Advantages: Driving Position, load capacity.
Disadvantages: Over priced, no sliding doors, poor seat design, poor paintwork, under powered.

...Tempted by the price and 5 year warranty, I took leave of my senses and bought an ex-demo Trajet , I went for the automatic as I prefer auto's. I was quite excited the day I picked it up but this quickly wore off the next day! The 2L engine is not powerful enough for the size of car, it has no turbo and I found myself driving it hard to get any performance out of it, on a motorway "hard driving" was the only way to keep up with other cars! It was however quite nice around town despite its size, very useful for large loads or with 6 passengers, the middle and rear seats are removable but would have been better if they folded down into the floor (like some other MPV's) as the seats are heavy and awkward to put back. Disadvantages: large tuning circle and its poor rear visibility when reversing at an angle

...I?ve been the owner of a coupe for 8 months now; long enough to have driven it in dry, wet, very wet, snowy and blizzard conditions and it?s been pleasing in all of them but was superb in the worst of them. It seems to glue itself to the road in snow and is the only coupe I have ever had that was actually fun to drive in a blizzard. New Hyundai Coupe 2.0SE (2003)

Advantages: Fantastic head-turning looks, Superb handling, Price!
Disadvantages: 1.6 Model feels underpowered, 2.7V6 gives poor economy.

I undertook lengthy Test Drives of several Cars before I narrowed my choice down to the Hyundai Coupe and the Toyota Celica. Both cars are very good to look at but I honestly believe the Hyundai just edges it. The Celica is probably more suited to 'Boy Racers' or Women. The new Hyundai has been beefed up and now looks far more masculine and aggressive. Hyundai Coupe 2.7 V6 Auto

Advantages: Good Looking, Sporty To Drive, Well Presented
Disadvantages: High Petrol Consumption and High Road Tax

...I have a 54reg coupe v6 2.7. It is the most amazing car I have ever owned. It looks wonderful on the road and drives like a dream.The car also has auto gear box, with sports mode so yes it is quite heavy on petrol and the road tax is fairly high. The interior is a nice mix of leather and chrome (not brash and cheap) just luxurious. The road holding is superb and it is amazing to drive. when I first bought it I did have to make do with a lot of negative comments like why did you buy that? I thought you were getting a proper car etc etc. Buts that all gone now. I actually sold my car 10 months ago for family reasons but after having a fiesta for this time I saw the car back for sale as the new owners couldn't afford to keep it on the road, and I bought it back.That's how much I like it. Hyundai Siii coupe - new looks, same reliability

Advantages: Reliable (5 year transferable warranty), looks beautiful and sleek.
Disadvantages: 2.0 is slightly lacking in power.

... Looks I had the facelift Coupe from new (see my other review) and in 5 years of ownership only replaced light bulbs tyres and the battery. This gave me confidence that Hyundai reliability was exceptional. The Siii does boast the same subframe and engine as the S2, but I read, quoted somewhere, that every panel is redesigned. This said, you do have to be quite eagle-eyed to see the difference at the back, although it is there. The front design, however, is what initially attracted me. I was never upset at the S2 design, but (aside from the shark gills), it never really gave you a head turn. The Siii does that. The alloys are different enough to make people comment. They are slightly awkward to clean, thanks to their "sharp" design, but once you have cleaned then, you realise why. They are actually nice alloys...

I remember seeing the previous incarnations of the Coupe and thinking it looked good but some parts were to flashy or too overdone for my taste, like the shark grills... than I saw the 2007 version of Tuscani and i realized if it had an Alfa Romeo badge on it, i wouldn't be really surprised.
