gumtree.com
Advantages: Very detailed
Disadvantages: Open to fraud
...Many will remember a time when the classified section of a local newspaper was all there was if you wanted to look for second-hand goods, or look for a place to live without going to an estate agent?but not anymore. Goodbye the classified section; hello Gumtree.com
To quote the frontpage of the website, Gumtree advertises ?Homes, jobs, cars, sofas, vintage records? anything, really??and they?re not wrong! It lists it?s good in cities across the country. And not just the capital cities of the UK, but anywhere from Brighton to Nottingham, from Oxford to Aberdeen. This handy tool can help you look for exactly what you?re after without having to sift through adverts from cities hundreds of miles from you.
Now, to indicate the scale of the website, in the London section, the ?Flats and Houses? adverts totals 124,174!! That seems a bit...

Gumtree or... how I wasted plenty of hours on this website
Advantages: still fees free! (for standard adverts)
Disadvantages: Any option costs money, plenty of time wasters, ads get automatically removed for no reason
...Gumtree is a website dedicated to free ads of certain areas of the globe. It is advertised as UK n°1 website for classified ads but it has branches also in other Worldwide locations (Australia, Poland, New Zeland, Asia and South Africa) plus European and North American partners, meaning other websites called differently but offering the same service.
The website is divided into main areas of the UK and each main city in those areas have their own space for posting your ads. So if you live in Manchester you will post your ads in your local area. Also the search of items for sale is local, there isn't yet a function for a global search, mainly because most of transactions end with a collection in person so it's useless to search items across the UK if you live in Cardiff.
Classified ads are divided into categories:
Flat & Houses...

Gumtree.com for everybody
Advantages: User friendly
Disadvantages: Some sites may be a bit frivolous.
...Gumtree.com is like one of those ad newspapers (eg. Loot) but online and is extremely helpful and user-friendly.
I have been using it a lot recently as I am back in England for a while and it is great for job hunting, accommodation and even finding friends! It is very user friendly and you can even post free ads without giving away all your personal details.
You can also hone your searches by changing the town you want to search in and there is even an option to change countries : maybe a holiday rental in France or a job in Poland!
For these credit cruch times it is a good place to sell your unwanted things and find bargains too or maybe even a job. There is a gossipy side too with such sites as "Celebrity spot" but that just shows that it caters to all tastes.
Happy hunting!...

The long and the (very) short: Hyundai's newest model
Advantages: Cheap purchase price, low running costs, ideal in urban areas, comfortable, 5 year warranty
Disadvantages: Not in the slightest prestigious, looks that aren't to everyone's taste
...After months of shuffling my feet I finally took the plunge, and thanks in part to the Government?s car Scrappage Scheme, I?m now the proud owner of a spanking new Hyundai i10.
I started seriously looking at alternatives for my Peugeot in July, by which time the oil stains on the drive, a slipping clutch and rusting exhaust were a small indication of what lay ahead at the MOT in October.
Why this car?
In short the amazing price of a brand new car. The alternative was, obviously, to trade Pepe the Peugeot 106 for a second hand car, but I imagine my cherished 15 year old car would have got nothing more than a chuckle from most dealers.
So, full of the promises of £1000 of taxpayers money being given to me (sort of) to buy a safer, potentially more environmentally friendly (and did I say brand new?) car than my three...

Gumtree - Don't Judge a Book by its Cover
Advantages: variety of things, easy to access and use
Disadvantages: none i can think of
...Gumtree.com. When you first hear about this website, you'd think they aren't serious. However, you know what they say, don't judge a book by it's cover.
Gumtree is one of the best sites ever to search for a variety of things. The best thing is that not only are there job offers, but there are also cars and houses advertised for sale, many other items such as phones, tickets, instruments, baby and kids things and much more up for sale. Furthermore, there are also services that you may require like house, health and beauty, computer, legal and many more, pets, things for the community and even a link to dating for anyone no matter whether you straight, gay, looking for a casual relationship or even a serious one.
I have been on this website quite a number of times and I must say that this website has helped me a lot. I have been...

Hyundai! Pandora's box on wheels!
Advantages: Reliable, competatively- priced, stylish, modern vehicle!
Disadvantages: Loses value quickly. Poorly thought of by non-Hyundai owners!
...After weeks of scanning car ads I came across an advert for a Hyundai Lantra. It was 3 years old and only £2,500!
I wondered what the catch was as it was very cheap for its age!
I decided to check it out anyway! I had never considered a Hyundai as I didn't know anyone who owned one and I had always bought well known brand name cars previously.
On first seeing the car I was amazed how stylish it looked. The bodywork was immaculate; solid, no rust or deteriation and a beautiful shining silver colour. What surprised me most was how modern and eye-catching the styling was!
The interior was equally as impressive. Velour seats, and full electrics including f/f sunroof! Five speed gears and a rev counter finished it off nicely! The stereo was quite basic but the sound was as good as some flashy types. I particularly like...

Disadvantages: The badge could be a problem but I urge you to not discount it

Oh yes this is an exclusive review of a car that is not out until mid summer of next year. Okay I may be 15 and I obviously can’t drive the car but I have researched this car for a long time. So I hope this opinion will be enough to wet your appetite for next year because its already caused a flood in mine…

BCC Hyundai - Hyundai on the Internet
Advantages: fantastic Service fantastic price easy deal
Disadvantages: Based in Bolton
...I bought a car from the internet website BCC Hyundai a little over a year ago. The car I bought was Hyundai but they also deal in Kia as well.
I have to say this was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had from the minute I launched their website to the minute I drove away in my new car.
The way it works is simple:
STEP 1
Launch the website and search for the car model you want. You can buy both new and used cars from this site. Once you have located the car you want be it new or used and you are happy with "no haggle" price move to step 2.
STEP 2
Now you can call them on the freephone number provided.
If you have a part exchange they will deal with this as well. Here is a statement from their website "Contrary to most peoples belief the number of cars ordered by clicking on the enter key...

The Hyundai i20 looks good, is comfortable to drive, and has bite
Advantages: Looks, performance, features, warranty, fuel economy, generous boot
Disadvantages: Have to fork out more if want a colour other than electric red, its not sporty or overly exciting
...of a new car in this price bracket.
It currently retails at £8,550, but I was offered £6,295 if I traded in my Skoda Favorit. Therefore I can trade in a car I call "the fridge" and get a brand new Hyundai with a 5 year warranty, what's stopping me then? Nothing. After the test drive I was pretty happy. The interior is tidy, it's not exciting, but if I want excitement I can go with my Gran to the bingo. The car doesn't make a sound as you're driving and move through the gears. The gearbox is actually well designed, it almost looks flash, and it just glides through the changes. The brakes are incredibly responsive, Ian the Hyundai sales representative warned me of this, but I would rather have responsive brakes than...

Hyundai Sante Fe
Advantages: Excellent value for money
Disadvantages: None
...We first purchased our Hyundai Sante Fe almost 2 years ago when we found our we were expecting our first child. I went from an Audi TT to this massive chair on wheels expecting not to like it all, and was happily disappointed as I love it.
We paid £14,500 for it - it had been pre-registered with the garage 6 months before and had 1,000 miles on the clock. I paid £4,000 deposit and took out the finance that Hyundai were offering at the time. The rate, at that time, was very competitive, but better still, extremely flexible. I was able to pay off chunks of the loan when I felt like it with no added penalties. I paid off the loan very early like this and ended up saving around £1,500 in interest.
At the time the Sante Fe came with a three year warranty, of which two and half years were still outstanding - I never had to use it...
