The long and the (very) short: Hyundai's newest model
Advantages: Cheap purchase price, low running costs, ideal in urban areas, comfortable, 5 year warranty
Disadvantages: Not in the slightest prestigious, looks that aren't to everyone's taste
...After months of shuffling my feet I finally took the plunge, and thanks in part to the Government?s car Scrappage Scheme, I?m now the proud owner of a spanking new Hyundai i10.
I started seriously looking at alternatives for my Peugeot in July, by which time the oil stains on the drive, a slipping clutch and rusting exhaust were a small indication of what lay ahead at the MOT in October.
Why this car?
In short the amazing price of a brand new car. The alternative was, obviously, to trade Pepe the Peugeot 106 for a second hand car, but I imagine my cherished 15 year old car would have got nothing more than a chuckle from most dealers.
So, full of the promises of £1000 of taxpayers money being given to me (sort of) to buy a safer, potentially more environmentally friendly (and did I say brand new?) car than my three...

Utility Not Sporty......
Advantages: Budget Korean version of a practical utility vehicle
Disadvantages: Pain to park, not particularly good fuel consumption
...I have no intention to drive off a proper metalled road (at least not deliberately), nor do I indulge in the daily school run with hordes of kids, bags, PE kit and the like. However when we changed the car last May we did decide to buy a 4x4 Hyundai Tucson (pronounced Toooson) 2.0 CRTD CDX.
Curiously the manufacturer describes this as a Sports Utility Vehicle or SUV. Now my image of a sports vehicle is low slung, cramped, goes like mad, makes heads turn; so certainly not like this chunky beast.
Best described as large 5 door hatchback, it is a budget offering from Korea. Indeed the Kia Sportage shares the same Corporate ownership, running gear, many panels and fundamental designs as this one. However the Sportage retails approx £1000 cheaper than this model so the devil is in the detail of the specifications. Also Kia don...

Good Value for money 4x4
Advantages: Price, Standard equipment
Disadvantages: Plasticky interior
...I bought a Hyundai Tucson 2 weeks ago and have found it very good value for money.
I've got the 2.0 CRTD CDX version and it is packed with features. Inside, there are heated front seats, cup holders front and rear, and loads of little handy storage pockets. It even has an under-seat storage tray under the front passenger seat. The music system is an RDS/CD player. There's also a very easy to use climate control which allows you to set the inside temperature and then just concentrate on your driving.
The standard equipment also includes electric tilt slide sunroof/mirrors/windows, front fog lamps, cruise control, 6 spoke alloys (with alloy spare), auto-dimming rear-view mirror and compass. The little touch which I felt nice was, in the boot, a luggage net is included stopping your suitcases rolling around. As an optional extra...

Hyundai! Pandora's box on wheels!
Advantages: Reliable, competatively- priced, stylish, modern vehicle!
Disadvantages: Loses value quickly. Poorly thought of by non-Hyundai owners!
...After weeks of scanning car ads I came across an advert for a Hyundai Lantra. It was 3 years old and only £2,500!
I wondered what the catch was as it was very cheap for its age!
I decided to check it out anyway! I had never considered a Hyundai as I didn't know anyone who owned one and I had always bought well known brand name cars previously.
On first seeing the car I was amazed how stylish it looked. The bodywork was immaculate; solid, no rust or deteriation and a beautiful shining silver colour. What surprised me most was how modern and eye-catching the styling was!
The interior was equally as impressive. Velour seats, and full electrics including f/f sunroof! Five speed gears and a rev counter finished it off nicely! The stereo was quite basic but the sound was as good as some flashy types. I particularly like...

Why has this Ferrari got a Hyundai badge
Advantages: Gorgeous styling - the list is endless
Disadvantages: The badge could be a problem but I urge you to not discount it

Oh yes this is an exclusive review of a car that is not out until mid summer of next year. Okay I may be 15 and I obviously can’t drive the car but I have researched this car for a long time. So I hope this opinion will be enough to wet your appetite for next year because its already caused a flood in mine…

HYUNDAI COUPE 2002
I know what your saying. The Coupe is out at the moment. But this model is all new and ready to reach our shores next year. So I will rate this car as well as I can but you’ll have to bear in mind that I can’t drive the car. Don’t discount me yet though because I am a car anorak and I can talk about the next best thing…

BCC Hyundai - Hyundai on the Internet
Advantages: fantastic Service fantastic price easy deal
Disadvantages: Based in Bolton
...I bought a car from the internet website BCC Hyundai a little over a year ago. The car I bought was Hyundai but they also deal in Kia as well.
I have to say this was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had from the minute I launched their website to the minute I drove away in my new car.
The way it works is simple:
STEP 1
Launch the website and search for the car model you want. You can buy both new and used cars from this site. Once you have located the car you want be it new or used and you are happy with "no haggle" price move to step 2.
STEP 2
Now you can call them on the freephone number provided.
If you have a part exchange they will deal with this as well. Here is a statement from their website "Contrary to most peoples belief the number of cars ordered by clicking on the enter key...

The Hyundai i20 looks good, is comfortable to drive, and has bite
Advantages: Looks, performance, features, warranty, fuel economy, generous boot
Disadvantages: Have to fork out more if want a colour other than electric red, its not sporty or overly exciting
...of a new car in this price bracket.
It currently retails at £8,550, but I was offered £6,295 if I traded in my Skoda Favorit. Therefore I can trade in a car I call "the fridge" and get a brand new Hyundai with a 5 year warranty, what's stopping me then? Nothing. After the test drive I was pretty happy. The interior is tidy, it's not exciting, but if I want excitement I can go with my Gran to the bingo. The car doesn't make a sound as you're driving and move through the gears. The gearbox is actually well designed, it almost looks flash, and it just glides through the changes. The brakes are incredibly responsive, Ian the Hyundai sales representative warned me of this, but I would rather have responsive brakes than...

Hyundai Sante Fe
Advantages: Excellent value for money
Disadvantages: None
...We first purchased our Hyundai Sante Fe almost 2 years ago when we found our we were expecting our first child. I went from an Audi TT to this massive chair on wheels expecting not to like it all, and was happily disappointed as I love it.
We paid £14,500 for it - it had been pre-registered with the garage 6 months before and had 1,000 miles on the clock. I paid £4,000 deposit and took out the finance that Hyundai were offering at the time. The rate, at that time, was very competitive, but better still, extremely flexible. I was able to pay off chunks of the loan when I felt like it with no added penalties. I paid off the loan very early like this and ended up saving around £1,500 in interest.
At the time the Sante Fe came with a three year warranty, of which two and half years were still outstanding - I never had to use it...

Hyundai "Tragic" 2.0 Auto MPV
Advantages: Driving Position, load capacity.
Disadvantages: Over priced, no sliding doors, poor seat design, poor paintwork, under powered.
...warranty, (still inconvenient though for a new car).
The comfort and driving position were the best points for me, the interior is a sea of light grey plastic, the silver paintwork is very thin and chipped easily and it's not the best looking MPV on the road (but better looking in my opinion than a Picasso) and no alloy wheels or sun roof.
When driving on a motorway just as the speed hits 70mph, a strange "wining" noise a bit like a single note played on a flute accured, I or Hyundai never did get to the bottom of that problem!
Within 5 months I was completely sick of this car and traded it in for a Matrix (review coming soon) but here's a clue, "out of the frying pan and into the fire"!...

Hyundai Widescreen N91
Advantages: Great design, bold black surround, excellent quality screen, no dead pixels, crisp picture
Disadvantages: Price
...Hyundai N91W 19inch Widescreen TFT Monitor
**Background Research**
I bought this monitor one month ago, I had decided that I wanted a widescreen monitor (mainly because its a bit different and much better for watching video on) with a black surround that was wall mountable. However as I play games I had to have a quick response time, so after researching decided that anything 8ms or below would be good enough. When I started to research different monitors and the different online retailers it became clear that most online companies sold the same monitors but the prices varied. After a few weeks I had boiled my choice down to 3 monitors, the one above, a 19" Hanns G (roughly £140 + delivery) and a special offer on Dabs for a 19" Widescreen (£130 inc VAT and delivery).
In the end I decided on the Hyundai as it was the only one...
