Advantages: Good Format, Presenters... Disadvantages: Celebs
...So...another November...another bonfire night...another wait until Christmas...and another series of the great I'm A Celebrity! I'm a big fan of trashy reality TV - although I draw the line at Big Brother, I can't stand it! - so I always look forward to I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! So tonight (sorry if by the time you read this it has changed, it's a product proposal!) is the grand opening of the jungle 2009. If you are interested in this, please do keep popping back as I'm going to update it every day (more or less) over the next three weeks, as each episode comes. I'm going to name and shame...or name and praise...someone now...well, you know how lora44 writes that outstanding X Factor review every week? *If you don't I recommend you go check it out!* - I'd give it an E every week if I could...anyway, I aim to try do the same...
Advantages: Something to watch , arguing Disadvantages: poor contestants
...* What Is It ? *
I'm a celebrity ..Get me out of here is a British reality show. The show consists of a group of celebrities (usually about 10) who have to live in the Australian Jungle for approx. three weeks. The show first began on August 25th , 2002.The show is currently on it's seventh series and it is this series that I am going to review.
*The Show *
The show is produced by Granada Television. The chosen Celebs nominate a charity and then Granada Television donate money to each celebs' chosen charity. The money is made by viewers at hom voting by calling , texting and voting by interactive red button for the celeb they most like.
The show is presented by Ant and Dec. The show appears nightly on ITV1 and ITV2 at approx. 9pm.Each episode lasts between 30-90 minutes , however the usual episode lasting time is 60 minutes...
Advantages: Watching Celebrities make themselves look idiots Disadvantages: Another three weeks of this.
...I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
Yes the time has come around yet again for a selected bunch of Celebrities to be cast out in the wilderness for three weeks in the aim of becoming King or Queen of the jungle as we are yet again subjected to another year of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. In the first two years of running this programme, I will say fair enough to the programme name, but as the years keep rolling by the Celebrities seem to be getting fewer and fewer. Let's face it with this year's line up maybe they should consider re-naming the show I'm A Celebrity Has Been or Wannabee, Get Me In Here as that is what it has come down to. They have scraped around the barrel looking for a desperate bunch of Wannabee Famous so-called stars who are desperate to try to re-launch there career, have...
...singer: Coleen, Bernie, Linda and Maureen. They're dressed in black dresses with big smiles on their faces. Indeed it is very welcoming and utterly spectacular. 'The Nolans' is written in between them in a lovely gold shade, with 'I'm in the Mood Again' above it. This logo is also seen on the back, with a track list of all sixteen songs underneath.
Inside the case there is a little leaflet advertising their tour, with dates on it, as well as a little about the tour DVD that will be released in November. Before I had a listen to the CD, I had a flick through the booklet that comes with it. This just gives you a little information about each song, as well as a word from the girls. I would have liked to know who was singing each song as I later found out that it can be quite tricky to pinpoint who is the lead of X song. The booklet is quite...
Advantages: funny, light Disadvantages: girly, clever but not THAT clever
...Another Sunday, another movie, helping me relax after another heavy night out. This time, the movie, I'm With Lucy, a romantic comedy (OK, chick flick) with Monica Potter.
I know what some of you are going to say right now- "why do you insist on watching this bilge Kati?", especially baalzamon, sghawken and richada! Well, on Blockbuster online, you form a list of the films you want to see, in priority order (I have been awaiting Madagascar and other new releases for ages), and they send you the DVDs as and when you reach top of the waiting list. So instead of waiting for ages with nothing to watch, I have added about a million movies from the comedy section to keep me going on my lonely nights in front of the TV! So that is why I keep reviewing this stuff, because its there!

Review of I'm With Lucy (DVD)
Advantages: Great songs on it Disadvantages: A few rubbish ones though!
...of the speakers and into your ears. The music also gets louder at the chorus. But the problem with this song is that it's hard to hear what Pink is singing and therefore making it hard to sing a long to the song. Also this is not a groovy tune, what I'm trying to say is that you wouldn't really be dancing to this song. This song would be perfect to sing a long or do karaoke but on the other hand it's hard to remember the word and know what she is singing.
4) Nobody Knows
************************
The piano at the start brings you ever so slowly up to the first verse. You can just hear what Pink is saying but not perfectly. You can only just about hear "nobody knows, nobody knows!" This song would be perfect to listen to in the car or sing a long to it but you wouldn't really dance to it or move to it as the music is not perfect for it. The piano is...
Advantages: Easy to apply, bold colour, no streaking, really long lasting Disadvantages: None
...than Nails Inc and with 5ml more product!) You can also build your own colour collection on www.lenawhite.co.uk, getting 3 varnishes for £25, 6 for £45, or 9 for £60. They have 4 colour launches each year, bringing out new colour collections with each season to work with the current trends, adding to their existing collection of hundreds of colours.
One thing that I love about the OPI colours as opposed to Nails Inc is that their pinks don't tend to be too orange toned, having more of a blue tint to them. Nails Incs pinks all tend to go onto the nail and dry to a neon orange-toned pink which doesn't work so well with my skintone - for reds they are great, but pinks don't quite work for me. The OPI colour I chose in the salon was from their 2008 summer collection, Indian Summer and is called I'm Indi-a Mood for Love - a fushcia blue toned...
Advantages: Great animated film for all the family Disadvantages: none
...fitting for the film.(these are also available on the Help I`m A fish Soundtrack C.D.
After many great adventures and very close calls they finally track down Joe, and his so called magic potion and several times they come very close to getting the antidote back from him but fail.
Finally time is running out and they only have about an hour left. After a great deal of adventure, they finally get the antidote back. With minutes left Chuck finds they water pipes that lead to the professors lab and has a plan, which they do there best to complete, but little do they know Joe is right behind them.
Fly has to stop Joe to save Stella and Chuck, finally whilst still in the water pipes ,he tricks Joe into drinking more, and more, of the antidote by asking him harder and harder questions because Joe thinks he can know everything, until he is human...
...Back for a third series, 10 ... ahem ... celebrities dumped in the middle of a jungle in New South Wales, Australia, their every move watched by cameras, and broadcast back home to us, the great british public. Presented by Ant and Dec, with nightly updates on ITV1/2.
That is the basic premise, which is a good one, the chance to see such high profile celebrities as Brad Pitt, David Beckham get back to basics in the jungle, or not, it kind of feels like they were rushing at the end, they got the whole thing planned out, everything sorted, then at the last minute thought s@#%, who's going in there, i know, a disgraced peer, failed pop 'star'. and in past years, whether girls, and ex radio DJ's, i mean come on, a whether girl!!! who can honestly say they had heard of Sian Lloyd before 'i'm (not) a celebrity'. She certainly wouldnt be...
Advantages: Well, I'm strange and honest at least Disadvantages: You may never talk to me again lol
...Hmm, 5 things doesn't really seem like enough. Not that I'm an 'utter nutter' but we all have perculiar little quirks that seem to amount to an endless list of strange habits. Here's a few of the things that make me, er, well DIFFERENT
1. Shelf shopping
- What, you may ask, is shelf shopping? Well, I think it's a phrase I've just coined actually (strange and smart ah?). Basically, I have a habit of going into loads of different shops, looking round and walking out again without buying a thing. I sometimes feel a bit embarassed. I tend to do it a lot in Netto actually (Of all the places I know), but they do weekly deals so I'm in and out of there all the time, checking what items are reduced, having a browse, deciding in the morning to go there and get a particular item then procrastinate when I get in the shop and decide not to get...
