iBook Easy

Advantages: Looks, Slim, Simple to use
Disadvantages: Scratches easily

...As a student studying Graphic Design, Apples were a must. I used an eMac whilst studying and had no problems with that. But, now iv finished studying and joined the big wide world, i needed something portable and light, yet still powerful enough to cope with the demands of 'real' work. The 14.1" Screen is ideal. It is big enough for me and clients to see clearly. If you didnt know, apples are safe from Internet viruses as no one right them for the Mac Operating System, so connecting this laptop up to WiFi (Wireless Internet Connection) with its built in Airport Express Card, will be alot safer that a Windows Laptop. Also, Apples are less complicated than PC's because PC's work on multiples of layers, whereas Apples work on just one layer. "Finally Mum a book I'm allowed to take to pieces!"

Advantages: A great book with the added extra of some fantastic jigsaws for your little one.
Disadvantages: You'll be croaking from reading this book over and over and over?

...I have enjoyed reading to my son since he was born and I?m always looking out for fun books that will appeal to him. As soon as he was able to help with turning the pages and joining in with certain words story time has taken a whole new dimension, and is more fun for the both of us. He can sit happily for long periods of time flicking through a book looking at the pictures and pointing to them, he also loves jigsaws and the challenge they give him. His eager little hands do get a bit excited though, so I provide him with chunky board books for him to ?read? alone. I do like good value too, so when I spotted this book I knew I was onto a winner as not only is it a board book but it comes with five jigsaws too, it was only £4.99 from Amazon when I purchased it the retail price is £6.99 and even at that price it is still excellent value...

...i received my iBook for christmas 2001 and it is still the main computer is use. it is the first mac i have owned. the laptop is sturdy, durable and well made. i have had no issues with it in the almost 2 years i have had it. this compares well to the 6 month old IBM laptop my partner has, which has been on for repairs 3 times already :) as i have never had any problems with my lappy, i cant really coment on manufacturer support. i will say, however, that in general, the people who work in mac shops are very helpful with suggestions on how to improve or change things. there is also a large mac community on the net. the instruction manual is in 2 parts, an illustrated troubleshooting guide (good for non nerds like me) and a text manual (which ive never looked at). it also comes with 2 apple stickers :) the speed of my iBook is...

I Found this Lost Book - and it's a Gem!

Advantages: Brilliant and Gripping
Disadvantages: -

...which experiences can be explained and which can't, leading to an exciting conclusion that cleverly ties all the various strands together. Connie is a believable character that I sympathised with which made the book even more enjoyable to read. The prose is descriptive and you can lose youself in the scenes that appear on the page. The historical parts seem very well researched and these characters seem familiar even though we only get to spend a short while with them throughout the book. The author gives a a very personal touch to the latter parts of the book from her own research and family connections. You don't have to have a great knowledge of history or even a special interest in the subject matter, although you might have by the time you've finished! I would recommend this novel for an absorbing holiday read or chapter...

Not a book I live by!

Advantages: useful tips
Disadvantages: too mean

...had a nap no matter how long it takes for them to nod off. It may take a few minutes or- as was the case with me- 40 minutes! Eventually the baby learns to fall asleep after less time and gets used to it so it isn't as stressful! Feeding when it suits the mother is basically just that. Gina Ford insists that babies need structure and so it's important for the mother to do the same structured feeding routine every day so that the baby knows when it's feed time and feels comfortable. I don't really see how a breast fed baby can follow this though as it's impossible to know how much your baby has had so if it's hungry I would feel guilty about waiting until I was ready to feed! This book has a questions and answers section which helps to answer any questions you may have. I personally don't really rate this approach to parenting...
