...I bought this seat as it was at the time Which Magazine's most recommended. On this occasion I think they got it wrong. The seat is easy to install, and the extra tensioners on the installation straps do make it the most stable seat I have seen without Isofix. However the much vaunted safety tensioners on the child's straps are an absolute nightmare, and can be in my opinion dangerous. The traffic light indicator turns green when the bottom section of strap is tight, but this can easily and frequently happen when there is still slack in the upper section, meaning the child is not secured properly. For anyone not as familiar with the seat, for example grandparents, it gives a very misleading sign. Cosi little seat!

Advantages: Comfortable, safe

...I was recommended to buy this car seat by a friend and now I can see why they rated it so highly. Which magazine have rated Maxi Cosi as one of their safest car seats and it's been a great buy for us. The seat itself is very well padded and comes with a head hugger which has extra padding on it which is velcroed on. You easily detach this once your baby has out grown it. The head hugger is really great though for when your baby is tiny. It gives that extra comfort and support which a newborn needs. The head hugger stayed in our car seat until our baby was 5 months old. The padding around the rest of the seat is really sound comfortable but not so overly padded that it seems too soft and therefore not safe. Advantages: Very easy to use features. Very cosi for your little one.

...This is an excellent product. Easy to install and very safe for your little precious cargo. You will notice that I have specified this as 12-36 months in age range but I was advised that it suits children from 9 months to 4 years. This car seat is very easy to use as the straps remain connected and in place so you don't have to keep moving them around every time your child gets in or out of the vehicle. It also has a head rest that adjusts the hight of the straps without having to fiddle with them through tiny slats when your child grows a bit bigger. The straps also loosen and tighten very easily by holding down the front clasp you just pull the straps free. Cosy Coupe - Best money i ever spent

Advantages: improves co-ordination, easy to assemble, Great purchase

...My daughter had her 1st ride in a kiddy coupe at a parent toddler group, she loved it so much i immediatly went out and bought her one for her 2nd birthday. This is suitable for kids from around 18months to 6 years. It is easy to assemble and as a total novice i had it built in half an hour. It appears to improve a childs co-ordination as they have to control it with their feet to push forwards and backwards and steer it in the diresction they wish to go. There is a play key ignition which makes a clicking noise when turned and a squeaky horn in the centre of the steering wheel. 1 year on it is still a firm favourite and is used both indoors and out and is hard wearing. The best purchase i have made for my child by far!...

...I have had this car seat for six weeks now. One of the clips to hold the seat belt in on top of the car seat keeps popping up. The harness has jammed and i can't release it. Maybe i have been unlucky and have purchased a dud one, but worst of all as my daughter wriggles in the car seat the harness kept coming loose even when it was working. I thought I was buying a good quality car seat for the price a paid, but i think it is seriously unsafe. I have just read quite alot of reviews and the same problems have been coming up. Surley this is unacceptable from whats meant to be a reputable company. Do not buy this car seat, there should be a recall....

Maxi cosi Tobi car seat

Advantages: easy to use, easy to clean, sturdy
Disadvantages: it is bulky

...the straps are tight enough (after pulling on the strap at the bottom of the seat.). When you take your child out, if you put the buckle to the seat, you can lengthen the straps so that it is easier to take your child out. It is also easy to clean the seat as you can take off the cover and put it in the wash. There are also summer covers that you can buy to fit over the seat. Other accessories for the seat include the cup holder and the play tray. Overall I would say that this seat is really good value for money and would recommend it to anyone....

Usually when I review a baby product it is because I am raving about how great it is. But this is different. I have my reservations about the Maxi-Cosi Tobi, which is the Car Seat I currently have for my 26 month old boy. We had to buy a second Car Seat as my husband drops our son at nursery and I collect him, and due to lack of space the nursery cannot accommodate the seat in my husband's car if he were to take it out and leave it there for me to collect when I lift our son.
