...I?ve finally taken the plunge and bought myself an Apple iPhone after using a Samsung Omnia i900 for around a year. I went straight for the 32GB 3GS but it?s also available with 16GB of space if you don?t think you?d need more than that.
DESIGN AND BUILD
The phone feels solid with a fair bit of weight to it but not too much as to hinder the usage. The size is of the phone, being a full touch screen phone, is pretty big but fits perfectly in my hand. I believe the screen is made of glass so can break quite easily if you were to drop it onto something so it's best to protect it with some sort of case but overall, the device looks and feels well built.
SETTING UP
First thing that needs doing after taking the phone out of the box, is the charge it as well as put in the SIM. Installing a SIM involves removing the SIM...

...Cheapest way into iPhone 3G S Ownership?
Introduction
I?m going to assume you?ve read my previous review of how to get your hands on an iPhone cheaply, and that you?ve discounted buying second hand and that you want that box fresh sensation of unwrapping your very own brand new iPhone 3G S!
If this is indeed the case then read on, the following is for YOU! We?ll look at what Contract options there are, what Pay and Go options are available and (my favourite) what?s available Off Plan.
We?ll use the iPhone 3G S 16GB model in these examples, as it?s the cheapest iPhone 3G S to start with. Obviously you could buy a brand new iPhone 3G and make an additional saving, but then this review is of the iPhone 3G S (although much of the content is applicable).
I will be looking at the obvious telecoms firms...
Advantages: -Video Camera Addition, - Easy text message management, - easy to use, - downloadable apps. Disadvantages: large in comparison with conventional phones
...In my opinion the iPhone 3Gs is much better than the iPhone 3G despite only having had a minor changes.
Firstly it nows means you are able to forward text messages. Although this may seem like a bad idea, (all those chain text messages) I was surprised at how much i missed being able to send on a funny or important message with two clicks instead of having to type it all out again. Also you can delete individual messages as opposed to having to erase the whole conversation with that contact.
The addition of the video camera is also welcome and just adds to it's list f features which i don't think can ever be a bad thing.
The only things which have changed on the new model are little modifications. Everything else is as good as it always was - tactility of the screen and simplicity. While it does take a little while to adjust to...
Advantages: Upgraded sofware and Hardware, better camera Disadvantages: Appearance hasn't changed, Expensive
... Apple iPhone 3GS - An iPhone Upgrade
Now I?ve heard people saying ?what is the point of Apple releasing an new iPhone when it looks exactly like the old one!? and to be honest they may have a point... If it ain?t broke, don?t fix it - right? Well no actually, while there may be very few external changes, inside it?s a different story. The 3GS has a larger CPU, more storage space, new internal compass and Apple have improved the optics for the new iPhone?s camera. These modifications coincide neatly with a leap forward in the iPhone?s system software, the release of the iPhone OS 3.0 ? which will allow features including copy and paste, tethering, landscape keyboard options for more applications and a version of Spotlight, designed specifically for the iPhone.
Appearance
As I have already mentioned, in terms...
Advantages: It's advanced technology and huge variety of features. Disadvantages: The very low and quickly decreasing battery life.
...The iPhone 3G S is an amazing piece of palm-sized technology. It has everything you could possibly ask of a mobile phone (except Blue-tooth data exchange), and much more! I was shocked at it's ease of use considering its a smart phone! However, although it does have a few new features from its predecessor, the iPhone 3G, but it didn't seem as much of a technological breakthrough considering the transition of the original iPhone to the iPhone 3G, which is one of the reasons I gave it 4, and not 5 stars.
First of all, there is the biggest thing about the iPhone 3G S, is the addition if the S to the title. It stands for speed, and they're not lying. I compared my friends iPhone 3G to my iPhone 3G S, and I noticed how much quicker internet pages load, applications load up, and even basic things like sending a text (which may have been due...
Advantages: Incredibly easy to use with huge selection of quality dowloadable apps. Almost perfect... Disadvantages: Battery life it at best acceptable
...A couple of months ago I bought an Apple iPhone 3GS 16Gb. It is my first iPhone, and also my first smart phone. I was tempted by the original iPhone and the iPhone 3G, but was put out by some key feature omissions, notably lack of MMS and voice dialling.
The iPhone is immaculately presented in a surprisingly small, well designed box. The contents comprise the iPhone, wired headphones with microphone, a short USB charging cable and a charger. The chunky instruction manual that seems to come with every other phone on the market is notably absent; there is just a concise quick start leaflet. As always with an Apple product, EVERYTHING is meticulously designed to the same high standard. The charger is very discrete and is no bigger then a standard 13amp plug, the USB cable has incredibly small connectors at either end...
Advantages: Excellent phone with lots of features Disadvantages: Camera needs improvinf further

This phone attracted my attention because even before it was released it was considered the best phone on the market in 2008.
I was reluctant to purchase this phone as I was happy with my Sony Ericson but I have to say it was the best decision I have ever made. I actually paid my phone contract off early to get a new contract with O2 as they were the first suppliers to offer the iphone.
My first iphone was the iphone 3g with 8gb memory (16gb also available).
~Then came the iphone 3gs:
Released one year later in 2009, the 3gs was mine instantly after I had been so impressed with the 3g versions.
Advertised as having faster speed capabilities the 3gs came in either 16gb or 32 gb, I chose the 16gb which was an upgrade from my last phone.
~Cosmetics:
The iphone in my opinion is very sleek and sexy! I...

...of portable gadgetry, through their infamous iPod brand and now, the iPhone.
Now I have never owned a single Apple product in my life, so I'm not quite sure while I needed to purchase the latest must-have product; the Apple iPhone 3G.
THE BACKGROUND
----------------------------
This is Apple's second attempt at a mobile phone, with the original iPhone being an almost instant success when it was launched a little while back. This latest version is an update on what went before, with new software and the addition of 3G internet and GPS.
For the second phone Apple stuck with its network 'partner' O2 so if you want an iPhone you have the choice of just one network here in the UK and it's pretty much the same story everywhere else in the world. Don't know about you, but that doesn't exactly sound very touchy-feely, does it?
As I...

Review of Apple iPhone 3G
Advantages: Ease of use, style, fantastic applications, camera, text format, all of it! Disadvantages: Can't send photo messages and have to pay for extra ringtones
...I'm absolutely head over heels with the Apple iPhone 3G. I've become far too proud and a bit too obsessed, but that's because it really is an excellent phone. For what it offers personally, I am happy to forgo the few traditional phone features that are not available on the iPhone 3G. It's looks brilliant, is easy to navigate and get used to. It has useful and fun applications installed. With the touch of a button (or screen in this case), you can add any number of the thousands of applications that have been created for this phone from iTunes. It's certainly the best phoneI've ever used - not that that's saying too much, as compared this I've been carting about one of those 80's breeze-block sized 'mobiles'.
As the previous owner of what were fairly up to date Samsung, Nokia and Motorola mobiles and as a user of Microsoft at work...

Review of Apple iPhone 3G
Advantages: Great gadget Disadvantages: A bit bulky
...As usual I'm miles behind everyone else when it comes to technology and I've only just entered the world of mobile browsing by buying myself an iPhone. Here are several versions of the phone some with more memory than others but I plumped for the 8 gig version because that's more memory than I need
The iPhone is quite amazing, what differentiates it from other phones are the applications, the sheer amount of applications is phenomenal, you can get an app for just about everything whether it's something as simple as accessing Facebook or googling, to apps for purchasing from Ebay or Amazon. There are also plenty of applications for games and music, or word processors and spreadsheet applications. Lots of the apps need to be paid for, ranging in price from approx 49p to over £5. But many apps are free, in fact this review is being...
