...iTunes - the most advanced music store available. Or is it? Well, with around 24 million songs available worldwide this clearly puts it head and shoulders above any other competitor. And with them also selling games (iPod), TV Shows, Movies, Podcasts and Video Podcasts - this makes Apple the owner of the most advanced music store. And to this date it is probably the most used music store in the world with over 3 billion songs sold worldwide in the space of 4 years. Surely then, everything should run smoothly and it's customers left happy? Well, the answer is no, it's not perfect unfortunately and has it's drawbacks. Functionality being one of them. iTunes - Compulsory download for use with your new device!

Advantages: Easy to use, lots of free items.
Disadvantages: Large file to download, time consuming to add albums.

...iTunes is provided free of charge to download from the Apple website (apple.com/itunes). It is specifically designed for users of the Ipod, Iphone etc and is quite simple to download and install. The size of the download (current version 8.0) is quite large and will therefore take a considerable amount of time to download (was around 10 hours on my rubbish internet modem connection) and this can be a downside if you have just purchased an iPhone and you are all excited to get on it as soon as possible! iTunes 7.0 is the version that I am reviewing here as it is the current most up to date version and therefore the one that I use. iTunes can be used as a library to store all of your music and therefore you can uploads CDs to this. Advantages: Great arrangement, look, sound; easy to use and understand.
Disadvantages: Doesn't have more than one iTunes for different iPods.

...Probably the best media application out there, iTunes just keeps on getting better. I worship it and everything that is Apple. But then again, music is a very big part of my life. ITunes provides me with everything that I need; it's easily the most important application on my laptop. It's very easy to control and arrange all of my media with iTunes; it takes very little time to get the hang of it. It looks amazing and works very efficiently...I have almost never had it bug on me in my life. Everything I need to find is there somewhere. It stores all of my media just the way I want it to be stored - in the right sections, in the perfect playlists, alphabetically, etc. There are, of course, a few minor points that could be perfected, but for the price (free!), it's pretty amazing. I would definitely use iTunes for my media...

...Well, i really am lost for what to say about iTunes... I used Amazon for a while to get music for my iPod Touch. I guess i had always seen the iTunes store when i was syncing music to my iPod but i could never really be bothered to create an account, it wasn't a huge deal because i wasn't really bothered with apps... My mind was blown one rainy day when i was bored with nothing else to do when i decided to create an iTunes account... In my opinion iTunes outdoes any of it's other competitors, Amazon was completely wiped from the table after i seen the number of songs iTunes had available to download. What really interested me was the fact that the songs are the exact same price as on Amazon but they download faster and have a higher bitrate (higher bitrate = higher quality) as well ! HOW FAST IS IT? iTunes is fast, but could be faster, it's fast when it comes to loading a 30 second preview of your song, but when you type in something that has lots of songs/videos/podcasts etc releating to that title, it's slow. CONTENT There are LOADS of songs, TV shows and podcasts on iTunes, everything from We Didn't Start The Fire by Billy Joel, to episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants. ...Well the Cold that I've started suffering from seems to be getting a little bit better so I decided to visit my local Spar this afternoon and couldn't resist stocking up on some of my old childhood favourites. By the time I left the shop my wallet was some five pounds lighter and clutching within my grasp, amongst a couple of grocery items, I had a picked up a packet of Tunes, a packet of Lockets and a packet of Fisherman's Friends throat lozenges. The latter I have already reviewed back in August in my review "A Friend In Need is A Friend Indeed!" so it is the Tunes that I have decided to review today, although it is a fair assumption that the Lockets may well feature in a forthcoming review very soon.
