Handy Pocket PC phone with camera
Review of IMate JAM GSM/GPRS Pocket PC by
supreah
Advantages: Handy size, Sleek look, Large screen
Disadvantages: No physical keypad, Short stylus takes getting used to
...If you are out in the market for a PDA phone, you are already on the right track by including the imate JAM in your shortlist. If you are looking just for a PDA, you might still want to give it a try. The imate JAM is undoubtedly one of the best PDA phones on the market.
About a year ago, my hubby started looking out for a PDA to get himself organised. Trust me, he 'needed' help :-) We soon realised one thing. The mobile phone has already become one of our limbs. We carry it everywhere, almost. For a PDA to be really useful, it also needs to be carried on the person most of the time. The PDA phone turned out to be the best option. PDA phones have been on the market for quite some time now, but they have failed to gain ground, I feel, mainly because of their bulk. PDAs tend to be a bit awkward to use as phones because they are generally...

The imate falls into the category of pda with mobile phone function and is based around the windows mobile operating system. It is a similar sized to a PDA and slightly larger than a standard mobile phone so you will need to take this into account when considering this product. The main feature...

THE BEST GADGET IN THE WORLD - EVER!!
Review of I-Mate JAMin by
JULIANMAURICE1
Advantages: Size, expandability, screen works in direct sunlight, very powerful mobile office
Disadvantages: Absolutely none at all
...Forget silly gimmicks like foldy out keyboards or touch-flo eye-candy, if you are someone who needs a personal organiser and a phone for business, then this is the best PDA phone on the market today bar none -
Advantages:
1. Size
2. Hardware buttons make one handed use simple
3. SD card slot allows use of a 4Gb card
4. Customisability - this phone can be seriosly pimped.
6. Reliable
7. Wifi
Disadvantages:
1. None
2. no really none.
I have used PDA's for the last 4 years, in which time I've used the imate Jam, Jasjar, K-Jam, Jasjam and most recently, the new HTC touch. Iended up selling the Touch and was glad to revert back to the M600 (Jamin). This phone beats everything, its simpler to use, and feels sturdy. The additional hardware buttons make one handed operation achievable.
My main fear when choosing this phone...

The amazing i-mate JAM
Review of IMate JAM GSM/GPRS Pocket PC by
helenehine
Advantages: High spec, good looks, smallest PDA available and great value for money.
Disadvantages: No intergrated WiFi and less RAM than some PDA's.
...I first became addicted to Pocket PC’s with my HP IPAQ 4150 which was a birthday present from my husband. I quickly found I could not live without it.
Then when I came to renew my mobile phone contract I thought “wouldn’t it be great to have a Pocket PC and Phone in one”. A techie friend had showed my his Smartphone but after using a windows based Pocket PC I knew it wasn’t for me – I was clearly spoilt, I needed a user friendly interface and top notch performance. Then my husband introduced to me to i-mate.
I browsed the i-mate website, saw the JAM, and knew I had to have it.
So what is it…
The i-mate JAM is the smallest Windows Pocket PC available.
It includes an internal GSM/GPRS Tri-band (900/1800/1900GSM) antenna for voice and data calls - perfect for picking up emails or surfing the web whilst on the move.
It also features...

Great combination device for the gadget lover.
Review of I-Mate K-JAM by
fcampbell
Advantages: Slide-out keyboard, touch-screen, Windows Mobile 5
Disadvantages: No 3G, slightly lacking in power
...I've run this phone on a Vodafone contract for just over a year now. Previously, I'd had an SPV, which was great, but a little fiddly for many of the smartphone features. The K-JAM resolves every issue that I ever had with the SPV, and provides more functionality that I didn't know I wanted.
The first thing to grab your attention will be the slide-out keyboard. This is guaranteed to impress everyone when they see it, and it is as good as it looks. I find the keys very well proportioned, although I do have thin fingers - if you have bigger fingers, you might find it slightly more tricky. Although you have the option of entering data using the stylus (and the letter recognition software is impressive), the keyboard does make things so much easier. The only thing I dislike about the keyboard is the fact that some symbols are only...

monkpunkgaming
Advantages: You can also install new software's and games in it. Great connectivity features.
Disadvantages: Sound is bit low. Cam is poor. Not a friendly interface.
...◘◘◘◘◘ INTRODUCTION ◘◘◘◘◘
Hi my friends. I am back with my latest review. This review is on my favorite I-Mate Jam PDA. It's very hard job to select a product to write reviews which also satisfy the readers. I was also thinking and searching for a product on which I write review for you. Then finally select my PDA phone which I am using from more than 3 years. And now I am expert user of windows mobile. I-Mate Jam has many tremendous features, but features are also available on internet. The main theme of review is to convey your own experience with products to others.
I bought this PDA 2 year before from eBay online shop. On that time its prices was bit high. I bought this in 225 £. Basically in people opinion PDAs are only useful for business mans. I am also bit agree...

Some Extra Cheap Storage Space On CD-RW's
Review of Imation Corp. CD-RW 650 MB 24x by
Surj1
Advantages: Re-Writable CD, 74min record time, 650MB storage
Disadvantages: Small storage compared to Re-Writable DVD's
...The Imation CD-RW 650 MB 24x discs are an excellent way to back up or store data at home or at work. I know it's not much storage compared to DVD-RW's but these still come in use as I still use them sometimes myself. As sometimes you don't need 4.7GB that a DVD can hold.
Imation CD-RW rewritable discs have an increased recording speed of 24x and noise free play for a wide range of applications. Even though the CD-RW format requires speed compatible disc burners for recording, the discs can be used in standard CD-R/RW drives as well as Multi-read CD-R/CD-ROM, DVD-ROM and rewritable DVD drives. This is very useful as you may have a drive which can handle more speed which shouldn't have a compatibility issue.
Main features and functions:
- Storage media type CD-RW
- 10 discs
- 650 MB storage
- 74min recording time
- Write Speed: 24x...

Imation blank CDR's
Review of Imation Corp. CD-R 700 MB 48x by
Paradis
Advantages: Their cheapness
Disadvantages: None I have found
...I wanted a pack of cdr's that would burn easily enough without having to dump a load of them in the process. I actually stumbled on these quite by accident, after my usual TDK brand was out of stock. I thought I would give them a try, and I am glad I did, because they burn at a reasonable speed, and have caused me no problems with either the recording of, or the retrieval of data so far, and I have used a few 50 packs now. In fact I can't recall having to throw any away that wasn't my own mistake.
Imation are very realistic price at around £15 for a spindle pack of 50, or 100 for £30. As there is no saving on the 100 pack, I generally buy 50 at a time. The pack they come in, is excellent for their storage too, with a spindle to keep them on and a nice twist, clear lid that keeps the discs dust and grime free until you need them...

3M 1.44Mb Floppy Disks. Yes thats another one.
Review of 3M Floppy disk 1.44 MB by
Sexy_Young_God
Advantages: Small and compact
Disadvantages: Breakable and horrible colour
...Hiya sorry about the boredom about these floppy disks first the imation 3 1/2" floppu disks and now its those pesky 3M's.
Right i am sorry to say that my other batch of imation floppy disks have run out. So i phoned my supplier and i was informed by the lovely lady called charlie that they had run out. So she did suggest i try the new 3M pack of 10 floppies.
Right onto the product in hand:
These are the worst floppy disks i have ever purchased, the colour black is the worst ever but i must agree that floppies are the same as any other floppies.
These floppy disks are not pre-formatted so you would need to format them yourself which is really time consuming, especially if you have a really important report due in the next day for the bank as i did.
These floppies are not as good as the Imation series as all of these disks are completely...

What's the difference????
Review of Imation Corp. CD-R 700 MB 48x by
tarara
Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: none I've found
...This will be short as there's not a great deal to be said about blank CDs is there?
I bought a pack of 50 imation CD-R discs from Argos for £13.99. I normally buy a branded disc but these were out of stock so I thought I would give these cheapie ones a go.
A pack of 50 Phillips CD-Rs cost £19.99 and a pack of 25 Phillips CD-Rs is £12.99 from Argos so this is a big saving!
So whats the difference?
None as I can see!
All come in a spindle pack,
All hold upto 700MB/80 mins of data
All are 48x
All can be used to copy music, data, photos or video
All are basically just blank discs!
I can tell no difference at all in the quality of the music or photos I have so far put onto these discs compared to the usual far more expensive ones I normally buy!
The only difference as far as I can tell is that there is no brand name splashed all over...
