Fantastic board - while it works

...The IT7 MAX2 is a great motherboard, with loads of features, and an unfortunate habit of ceasing to function. Mine lasted 15 months, others I've heard of lasting less.
While some of its features are no longer unusual (533MHz bus, RAID, onboard 5.1 sound), it is the sheer number of features that make it special - add firewire ports, ten USB ports, but do note that it lacks traditional serial or parallel ports however.
However, as it seems to have serious problems with long term reliability, I'd avoid it unless you're getting it very cheaply. I'm not a power user, and all my previous motherboards (including some that were really cheap) now spread among my extended family are still working fine, so I expected more than 15 months life from this more expensive model.
