...Being a bit of a self confessed gadget geek, something that seems to be on my annual to do list is the purchase of a new MP3 player. Being something that I use on a daily basis, the sound quality had started to become more of an issue to me than the features of the player. Since it is for listening to music after all, I wanted to really make the most of it. I done my usual Internet research and when I googled the words 'sound quality', I was happily pointed in the direction of the Cowon D2. Reviews could do nothing but praise this little gadget, and it certainly sounded impressive. With it's high quality touch screen and sound that is supposed to be one of the best, I immediately typed it into Amazon to find how much it cost. D2Jeans-Topman fashion at a fraction of the price

Advantages: Cheap, excellent range, good quality

I spent ages trying to get it down to a couple of pairs, although I could have bought the whole store! --------- Prices --------- I was very impressed with the prices on offer at the store. I got a couple of pairs of Jeans at just £19.99 per pair (very cheap, considering Topman charges up to £35 for a pair of standard jeans.) There were some more upmarket Jeans too, at around £30 each however these were on offer at 2 pairs for £50! I also got a nice long sleeve top at £14.99 (in comparison to Topman prices of about £22 per top) and a T shirt for a bargain £5. ...Now this op is based on me and my brothers experiances. Me im living in my own home with my girlfriend and we both attend a sixth form in buckley. We dont have much income as we are living on the only benefit i can claim for as nadine is unable to claim. Mike (my brother) is an assisstant manager of Iceland in chester or ellesmere port (i dont quite know which one). He is living with my dad and can afford to buy pretty much anything he wants (e.g. he bought an ipod about a week ago and he has only just bought a whole new surround sound for his new cd player). Anyway the point is im pretty poor and living off hardly anything and mike is living in luxury with anything he wants. So now to the op. I dont tend to buy from D2, not as a rule or anything purely because i cant afford it. I do agree that D2 has a wide range of clothing items...

Cowon's wonderful little PMP

Advantages: Small player, huge touchscreen, packed with features.
Disadvantages: Maybe not as pretty as some, awkward stylus.

I took the risk of choosing a product that can only be purchased over the internet, and which is made by a company, Cowon, which I had not heard of before. As of now, I am extremely pleased about my taking of this risk. The main competition for the D2 is the iRiver Clix 2, however I chose this player mainly due to its slightly larger screen, at 2.5 inches, and because I found the idea of a touch screen appealing. Looking at that picture, the first thing you will notice is probably the screen. It is the same size as the screen you will find on an Ipod Video; however at 16 million colours it is a much higher quality. And it really is a very high quality screen. What more could you want?

Advantages: Fantastic quality on video, audio, photos and text. Loads of extras built in
Disadvantages: Could have a larger hard drive but i'm just being picky!

...Why didn't I get an iPod like everyone else? Why not an Archos? I guess I just wanted to be different like always. I wanted to buy a brand of PMP (Portable Media Player) that no one has heard of and yeah, take a gamble. I'm glad I did! I got my Cowon A2 (30Gb) in February last year and am still a firm believer that this product is just as good, if not better, than an iPod. It has so many features it is astounding! I'll run through all these (or as many that i can remember) later on. Let me first introduce the makers of this fantastic method of watching video on-the-go. Korean company Cowon are also the producers of the iAudio range. These MP3 players are said to be of the very highest sound quality and that this was also carried on onto the Cowon A2. Review of Hasbro Star Wars Stocking Stuffers: Yoda, R2-D2 & Luke

CoD 2 - Excellent gameplay, graphics...the lot!

Advantages: Excellent graphics, great gameplay (especially single player)
Disadvantages: Superman ability to heal yourself, v. high spec and annoying AI

...What can I say? CoD2 has seriously been one of the best games I have played to date. Continuing from the good old days of Call Of Duty, CoD2 delivers something fresh and new into the gaming scene and sets the standards much higher than any other game on the market. The first thing that has got to be said about CoD2 is the outstanding graphics perfomance given when playing this game. Whether it is from dynamic smoke effects to the reflections on fellow soldiers' uniforms and equipment, CoD2 has it all graphically. However I found that this came at a price. In order to get a decent graphics performance out of the game you will need a high spec computer system to handle all the shaders etc, but this shouldn't be a problem in this day and age. ...Bought the zzr 1100 D2 6 months ago, from a dealer. Its second hand and over 10 years old, it had been dropped, but this lot stil never put me off. I had new clutch , new engine and just finished the warranty off with a full micron exhaust, thanks Bill Head, that is warranty. this is without a doubt the best toy i have ever ridden. It is so powerfull, yet so controlable. feed back isn't great but then it weighs in at over a 1/4 tonne. 72 mph in 1st gear, regular returns of over 45 mpg and will ride round town in the top gears as easily as it will cruise at 130 MPH. top speed is silly, but theres no weave. i fitted a flip up screen just to take the slight buffeting away, but then i am 6ft 4. i weigh over 20 stone, and even with a pillion on the bike has no bad manners. The mirrors are better than most, and the lay out works well...
