Ibanez IC400 Iceman - Let There Be Rock!
Advantages: Lightweight, Low Action, Awesome Shape
Disadvantages: Large Headstock.
...-Ibanez IC400 Iceman-
Wow, i have not written a review in YEARS! Since 2005! I feel like my heads about to explode. You'll have to bare with me on this one cause ive got to get back into the swing of things.
As with every guitar, the Iceman has a history. Hoshino Gakki, the developer of the Iceman, wanted to make a distinctly Japanese looking guitar, as, before this time, Ibanez had been making replica copies of Fender Strats and Gibson Les Pauls and such. So after a meeting between Ibanez, and another guitar manufacturer, Greco, the "Iceman" design was born. Ibanez got the distributing rights for outside of Japan, and Greco for in Japan. Thats pretty much the history. So now for the guitar itself!!
I picked it up second hand from ebay for about 350 quid, although you can buy them new nowadays for anywhere between 420 and 470...

Ibanez SM-7
Advantages: It is sexy and gives a good sound
Disadvantages: It's a distortion pedal.......how can there be any cons?
...The Ibanez SM-7 is a tough one to review, it most definitely full fills it's task as a big crushing metal distortion pedal but does very little else. So, let's just have a run down of all the features on the pedal.
Clean Channel
---------------------
This pedal works a real treat when switched off. This may sound very strange to most people but trust me, some pedals when you aren't using the effect on them will still alter the sound coming from your guitar ever so slightly, the smash box avoids this totally.
DISTORTED channel
-----------------------------
Oh yes. Here we go. Although this pedal is of what I would call limited capacity in effects it does cover a wide horizon in one field of effect. The smash box features four recesible dials (they push and lock in so you can't knock them and change the setting...

Ibanez RG370DX - the all rounder guitar
Advantages: Great to play, very nice tones, very durable, good value for money
Disadvantages: None
... Ibanez RG370DX
I bought this guitar around 3 months after starting to learn how to play the instrument on a guitar borrowed by a friend. I went to my local music store and played a few guitars in my price range to see what one I liked the most. The Ibanez RG370DX stuck out the most. In my opinion it feels so nice to play - the neck is smooth, the action is not too low and not too high, it is just right. I use the guitar with 9 gauge Roto Sound Orange strings, and I get a really nice sound out the instrument.
The guitar is very well contstructed, it is very durable and takes a bit of a beating. It also looks amazing in my opinion, and sounds just as good as it looks, if not better! The quality of sound, in my eyes, is extremely good - you can choose between 5 different pick up settings with the 5 way pick up selector switch, each...

Pick and mix, Rowntree's style!
Advantages: More than one variety.
Disadvantages: High in sugar.
...Upon a late night visit to my local corner shop on the quest for "treats", I noticed this bag of beauty's, nestled inconspicuously next to the revels.
After a closer inspection I realised that this particular pack contained all mt husbands favourites, so of course this also warrants a review!
The product I will now review is "Rowntree's, pick & mix".
The bag that these sweets come in is very colourful and eye catching, it consists of thick diagonal orange, purple, yellow and green "stripes".
In the centre of the pack is a picture of all the different fruit flavours that is incorporated into the sweets, the strawberries look particularly appetising!
Across this picture is the product brand and name in thick, bold white writing, with the three sweets in the pack being named beneath this with a picture of each sweet.
Finally...

Ibanez AW15 LG
Advantages: Very affordable top quality acoustic
Disadvantages: if you want this in a cutaway version you'll pay considerably more
...Straight out the box in your lap this guitar screams of QUALITY!!!
Your expectations will be surpassed!
The sound this guitar produces is exquisite, nice warm pleasant bass tones decent mid-tones, and in the high end its sings like a skylark! It has the best sustain I've ever heard in an acoustic, on a par with my friends Clapton signature Martin, honestly, it's that good.
Well constructed, decently finished the solid cedar top, with mahogany inlay looks the part, the smooth solid mahogany neck is a sheer joy to play, the Ibanez tuners are of a reasonable standard.
If your looking to upgrade to a high spec acoustic and considering spending double what one of these babes costs...think again, at least try one out, could save you a small fortune, and put one heck of a smile on your face!!!...

Rowntree's Pick and Mix
Advantages: Good packaging, great taste.
Disadvantages: Would have liked jelly tots in there too.
...packaging normally. The graphics on the packet are very clever, it subconsciously makes your mouth water by adding flying drip marks around the words pick and mix, to make the product look really juicy and inviting. I bought it because it was very eye catching and has everyone?s favourites in it.
I would have maybe liked one other sweet added to the trio, as fruit gums and fruit pastilles are quite similar, it would have been a bit more interesting to the taste buds to have another extra taste. Or maybe a more definably different texture, as the tooty frooties are crunchy, the other two are more chewy/soft; another texture would have been welcomed. I think there could have been jelly tots in there too, as the size of them more than the texture, would have made another interesting twist to the mix.
But overall I do really like this product...

The Ibanez GSR205 : Value for Money
Advantages: Solid workmanship, useable tones, very versatile.
Disadvantages: Shoddy electronics
...I got this in 2006, plus RM600 in cash; from a dealer who'd always wanted my '81 Fender P-bass. The GSR205 is a good, sturdy; all-round 'gigworthy' bass with a wide palette of tones. I've used it exclusively on a wide array of gigs, from rock to quasi-jazz; and it's held up well. My only grouses are the quality of the electronics and the battery-hungry 'Phat EQ' circuitry. I ended up replacing all the controls with Ernie Ball 500K pots; and getting rid of the entire 'Phat EQ' circuit by rewiring the bass like a stock Fender Jazz Bass (2 Volumes and a Master Tone). So, what I have now is basically a passive bass that still sounds great; without the hassle of changing batteries. The bass sounds clear and clean either through an amp; or a direct box (mine's a Boss) straight into a mixer. I do hope that Ibanez can come up with a GSR205 that...

Pick a card and mix these people up
Advantages: Fun card matching game
Disadvantages: none
...This pick and mix card game from Orchard toys is good fun for children aged 3 to 7 years old. It has been around for several years now. I have played with it in a few different play settings.
This game it is available from several toy shops between £5 and £8
This toy is basically a set of people cards that have been cut into 3 . Heads bodies and legs. The idea of the game is to match them up to make a complete person.
There is a policeman, a cow girl, a fireman. a pirate, a king , a clown, a boy , a girl ,a nurse There are a 12 characters in all 36 cards but I can not remember who they are.
There are several ways you can play this game depending on the level of the players . You can use this game as a simple matching game just trying to build the people correctly. You could play this with one child as a simple matching...

Pick up a reward with Nescafe!
Advantages: easy scheme good rewards
Disadvantages: none
...If you have read some of my other reviews you will realise that I am one of those people who is always on the lookout for a bargain and I try to make a little extra wherever I can. I am always one of the first to sign up to a new loyalty card or a new cashback site and certainly over the years the rewards do add up! Pick-me-ups is the reward scheme for buying and drinking Nescafe coffee.
First of all, I want to make it clear that this review is not about Nescafe coffee, although you have to want to drink it in order to take part in the reward scheme. Personally I think it is the best instant coffee around so it is an added bonus that they offer rewards as well!
So what is the pick-me-ups scheme and how does it work?
Well it's quite easy really as every jar of coffee has a bean token on it and depending on the size of the jar it...
