Ibanez RG370DX - the all rounder guitar

... Ibanez RG370DX I bought this guitar around 3 months after starting to learn how to play the instrument on a guitar borrowed by a friend. I went to my local music store and played a few guitars in my price range to see what one I liked the most. The Ibanez RG370DX stuck out the most. In my opinion it feels so nice to play - the neck is smooth, the action is not too low and not too high, it is just right. I use the guitar with 9 gauge Roto Sound Orange strings, and I get a really nice sound out the instrument. The guitar is very well contstructed, it is very durable and takes a bit of a beating. It also looks amazing in my opinion, and sounds just as good as it looks, if not better! Ibanez RG270DX - Excellent, in a bland sort of way

Advantages: Great sound, Ibanez quality
Disadvantages: Too sharp and pointy for rugged use

...The RG270DX is another of Ibanez's seemingly unlimited supply of quality guitars. Not much differs from this baby to its brethren, except for one or two small features. I bought the guitar from my music shop 2 days after it came in, and like all Ibanez guitars, it impressed. However, I found myself bored and underwhelmed with the guitar, and exchanged it for a Yamaha Pacifica 3 days later. The look is classic Ibanez - Super Strat design with rediculously sharp contours and a great, sporty looking neck. There are many different paint jobs to choose from, black and metallic dark blue included No Ibanez is bad. That said, not many Ibanez guitars are truly great. This guitar falls into the category in the middle, the "Fine" category, where the guitar will please to no end but won't make you scream with pleasure. I find all too often...

RG470 rocks

Advantages: For its price, sep 2nd hand, you won't get much better.
Disadvantages: For a little more you could get the RG550BK

...Features: The guitar is just total bad ass. The dimazio pick ups are a dream. The warm sound it gives off is excellent and so clean. The wizard neck is sooooooo easy to play as well. This guitar is truly awsome! Sound: I play all sorts of music from funk to metal and my ibanez keeps up all the way. Also with the 24 frets it adds a little extra notes for solos etc. Notes are also clear as a bell at the top end of the guitar as well as at the bottom. Action etc: The action is just a dream. The pick ups are very powerful and deliever an excellent sound even through the worst of amps. The guitar come straight out of the box perfectly. Review of Ibanez RG550BK Electric Guitar

The RG550BK - not just a thrasher's guitar

Advantages: Beautiful neck, large cutaways, thick fretwire, floyd rose locking trem, great range of tones, bright sound, highly versatile.
Disadvantages: Goes through strings quickly, poor middle pickup.

It was ranked no 8 in the Total Guitar top ten instruments of all time, but unfortunately the RG has been somewhat slated amongst Rock, Funk, Blues and other musicians as a 'Thrasher's Guitar'. It is frequently beleived that all this instrument is good for is tuning the bottom E to a low A or something ridiculous and hammerring away with very little musical content at all. Fanststic Piece of equipment

Advantages: Sounds Great, Comfortable, Solid piece of craftsmanship
Disadvantages: Hard to tune when using different gauge of strings

...I started out playing my Ibanez after i'd been playing around a year. It was (and still is) a great guitar to play with for many styles. Looks and Feel: The guitar has a Basswood flamed ash top, which looks great in red. The body seems larger than most guitars in depth, but gives the guitar a more solid feel. The neck is smooth and easy to play over and Tone/Volume controls are black and go with the overall theme of the guitar. Tuning controls are present on the top of the head (Rather than on the bottom in other Ibanez models) and also fine tuning screws are positioned on the Floyyd Rose trembolo. There are 24 frets on the neck, and also a 'Locking nut' system, to ensure the strings do not 'De-Tune' themselves after long durations of play. ...-Ibanez IC400 Iceman- Wow, i have not written a review in YEARS! Since 2005! I feel like my heads about to explode. You'll have to bare with me on this one cause ive got to get back into the swing of things. As with every guitar, the Iceman has a history. Hoshino Gakki, the developer of the Iceman, wanted to make a distinctly Japanese looking guitar, as, before this time, Ibanez had been making replica copies of Fender Strats and Gibson Les Pauls and such. So after a meeting between Ibanez, and another guitar manufacturer, Greco, the "Iceman" design was born. Ibanez got the distributing rights for outside of Japan, and Greco for in Japan. Thats pretty much the history. So now for the guitar itself!! I picked it up second hand from ebay for about 350 quid, although you can buy them new nowadays for anywhere between 420 and 470...

Advantages: It is sexy and gives a good sound

...The Ibanez SM-7 is a tough one to review, it most definitely full fills it's task as a big crushing metal distortion pedal but does very little else. So, let's just have a run down of all the features on the pedal. Clean Channel --------------------- This pedal works a real treat when switched off. This may sound very strange to most people but trust me, some pedals when you aren't using the effect on them will still alter the sound coming from your guitar ever so slightly, the smash box avoids this totally. Ibanez AW15 LG

Advantages: Very affordable top quality acoustic
Disadvantages: if you want this in a cutaway version you'll pay considerably more

...Straight out the box in your lap this guitar screams of QUALITY!!! Your expectations will be surpassed! The sound this guitar produces is exquisite, nice warm pleasant bass tones decent mid-tones, and in the high end its sings like a skylark! It has the best sustain I've ever heard in an acoustic, on a par with my friends Clapton signature Martin, honestly, it's that good. Well constructed, decently finished the solid cedar top, with mahogany inlay looks the part, the smooth solid mahogany neck is a sheer joy to play, the Ibanez tuners are of a reasonable standard. If your looking to upgrade to a high spec acoustic and considering spending double what one of these babes costs...think again, at least try one out, could save you a small fortune, and put one heck of a smile on your face!!!...

NO COMPLAINTS AT THIS PRICE

Advantages: Low price, Decent guitar, nice finish.
Disadvantages: Not exactly a limited edition or comparable to those in a higher price bracket.
