Vango Venture 500

Advantages: Good Size, Brilliant Value, High Quality, Sturdy, Easy to Erect
Disadvantages: None that I can think of!

...I purchased my Vango Venture 500 towards the end of 2006. For the bargain price of £85.00 and I haven't looked back since! Numourus camping trips have bee happily spent in this tent and it will see many more! The frame consists of 2 large poles crossing over to make the main dome, and a 3rd smaller pole creating a loop for the porch area. Once erect, with all pegs and guide ropes in place the tent is extremely strong and stable. We have camped in strong winds and strong rain and it has stood strong throughout. As long as there are two of you, erecting the tent is a swift and easy process. Funnily enough you tend to erect it faster when its raining! And packing it back into the bag is an art the first time but you tend to remember how to do it from then onwards and it's easy enough. When packaged, the tent is relatively heavy...

Review of Samsung SGH D500

The LG Cookie KP500 is a good quality, touchscreen mobile

Advantages: Very good value for money, good build quality, good touchscreen, decent (3mp) camera
Disadvantages: Battery life (and meter) is not very good, camera does not have flash, limited games and apps

...I have had this mobile for about 7 months so far. It has been (one of the) best mobiles I have bought. It was very good value for money and the build quality is very good (although for some reason the pink version is more 'plasticky' than the black one). The features on the mobile are what you would expect on a mobile in the price range of the KP500; not too bad but could do with more applications and games. I have however had to send it back once for repair because of a software problem; whenever I went to the music player the mobile froze. This was solved by a firmware update. The 3 inch (not too big, not too small) touchscreen is also very good for what it cost; it is responsive but not as good as the iPhone. Another problem is the battery life. GPZ500s - real world review

Advantages: fast, light, cheap to insure and run
Disadvantages: lumpy at low revs, needs good tyres and regular servicing

...on our roads. If you are a fat overweight biker then you will need stiffer forks. Or just go buy a ZXR400 if you like rock hard track like handling. I have found the forks perfect but then again I weigh 10stone as I don't live on junk food. Right, now the review........ A dry GPZ500s weighs 176kg. It does 0-60mph in 3.76 seconds and has an indicated top speed of 130mph (optimistic speedo - really 125mph). Fuel economy is around 60mpg sticking to legal speeds or around 50mpg at silly speeds. The bike puts out 60bhp at the crank or 54rwhp (rear wheel horse power). It's a bit lumpy at low revs (under 3000rpm) smooth to 7000rpm then really takes off above that to the redline (11,000rpm). Insurance is only group 8. So, its fast.......light...........and cheap! The early EX500 A models from 1987 have 16" wheels and drum brakes. Newer EX500 D...

...The Toshiba Satellite L500 is the same as most other toshiba laptops. It looks stylish and can do all the basic functions that you would want for a laptop. However, when you use it, you dont feel very comfortable because it feels very cheap. The keyboard is very flimsy and feels like it is about to break every time you type something and the mouse pad and buttons do not respond well. However, the number pad on the right hand side of the keyboard is great as it makes it so easy to type numbers. You can buy this laptop with a range of processors and sizes of harddrive so you can choose the one which suits you best. The display is actually very good but the battery life could have been improved. On my model it will last for a maximum of 2.5 hours on its lowest power setting. ...Honda CB500 a great little machine. I got my CB500 after a 'dry' spell because I had my license taken away and wanted something to get me back into riding. From the moment I first sat on it we just connected somehow and so the relationship began. The bike was a unfaired 2000 W plate and had been used as a race bike and had then been put back onto the road only to be involved in a front end crash which resulted in the following damage. Twisted yokes, bent forks, broken clocks, dented tank, scuffed plastics, broken mirors, broken indicators and a smashed headlight. Now being such a popular and reliable bike cheap parts were in abundance, the only hard part to come by was the instrument cluster. Honda sell them for over £600 new but you can get a second hand one for around £100. Scuffed plastics can be rubbed with wet/dry paper...

Kawasaki GPZ 500 Honest review!

Advantages: Reliability, cost, engine.
Disadvantages: Brakes,front end handling.

...I thaught i,d write a review on the GPZ500 as i have owned one for 15 months now, untill it was stolen 3 weeks ago! :( allthough it has since been recovered and im hoping to buy it back off the insurance company. (hence my review on the vfr400 nc24 which i braught to replace it) My bike is an 96 reg on an N reg, and had 10,000 miles when i braught it, and i have covered 7500 miles on it. Ok as with the NC24 review i,l start from the front and work my way backwards! Front tyre is 17 inch and lasts a while, it had an original front tyre on it when i got it, and only cost me £60 to replace it, so if youre gentle with the braking etc you can expect 7-8 thousand miles from a front tyre maybe more! The forks are good enough, i havent had to replace fork seals yet, but they are pretty soft, which is a god thing for this style...
