Not just your average Ibiza album

Advantages: Great for relaxing to. Not your average Ibiza album.
Disadvantages: Can be a bit too relaxing at times. Not to everyone's taste.

...I'm not your typical Ibiza type. I want to get that straight before we start. Anyhow, the other day, I was sitting in front of the infernal box, watching some high-brow programme when an advert came on for this album. It seemed fairly laid back and didn't bring up too many images of drugged up pillocks on some Mediteranian island. As the cover notes go out of their way to explain, there are different sides to Ibiza, the not-so-chilled-out side, and the chilled-out side, which, although it's had less publicity, is definately worth paying attention to. The album is a two-CD set, CD1 being the more laid back of the two. It starts with the mellow sounds of Kinobe's "Slip into something more comfortable", and manages to avoid anything that I'd heard of until Massive Attack's "Teardrop" with it's pounding bass. Ibiza Hippie by Escada perfume!

Advantages: beautiful light smell!
Disadvantages: Hard to find, and a little expensive!

...Escada Ibiza Hippie I got this perfume in a Collector?s Edition pack of 5 Escada Perfumes; Island kiss, Rockin? Rio, Pacific Paradise, Sunset Heat and Ibiza Hippie. I first heard of Escada when I bought Pacific Paradise on the Ferry on the way to Italy, from then on the smell always reminded me of that holiday, and became one of my favourite perfumes. So when I saw this pack for £12.50 for 5 small bottles (4ml each), I just had to buy them to try them all, so I could choose my favourite one! And I must say they were all delicious! With such strong fruity smells which stuck around all day, my only problem was there wasn?t enough of it in the bottles, and I tended to use half a bottle each time I used it! Education, Ibiza style.

Advantages: A beautiful,clean, friendly, warm and relaxing holiday

Ibiza Uncovered.

Advantages: sun, sea, sand, relax or be lively. Reasonably priced holidays.
Disadvantages: none

...After going to majorca a few times we wanted to try somewhere different. My sister sugested Ibiza so we thought we would try it. After trawling through brochures for which part to try we chose Es Cana. Ibiza is famous as a clubber's paradise but there are other islands for those who want a quieter holiday. You can find the hustle and bustle if you want to, and you don't have to look far. It could be just a 10 min walk away. You may choose the quiet life just sitting on your balcony watching the days go by. I have 2 children aged 9 + 13 and I have gone to Ibiza for my last 2 holidays. We all think it is fantastic. Ibiza Rediscovered .... Puerto San Miguel

Advantages: Relaxed, quiet, beautiful surroudings.
Disadvantages: Captive market in local shops and bars meant high prices - you need a car.

Advantages: Best clubs in the world and great weather in lovely surroundings

...Most people in Britain will have heard of the Spanish island of Ibiza. It is part of the Balearics and is situated in the Mediterranean, around 2 1/2 hours flight from Britain. As soon as Ibiza is mentioned it conjures up images of drunken British yobs, drugged up clubbers and constant partying, and although all of these things do exist on this beautiful island I would say that it is not as full on as TV programmes such as 'Ibiza Uncovered' make it out to be. There is an Ibiza for all tastes

...I lived in Spain for nearly 18 years (in Valencia) and frequently visited Ibiza and feel in a priviledged position to share my views . There are many types of ibiza. There is the club crazy Ibiza for the young and flush. There is the unbearable San Antonio with its Fish and Chips, cheap drinks and the worst sort of tourist, there is the classy Ibiza town with its yachts in the port, its UNESCO protected old town with its restaurants and bars but always classy. Seat Ibiza FR TDi

Advantages: Performance AND fuel economy, good build quality
Disadvantages: More frequent servicing

...Before this car I had an 1.4 MG ZR (petrol) which although gave excellent performance for that size engine, was proving costly for my commute to work - on average I was achieving about 33 miles per gallon. So, after only having had that car for 8 months I decided to switch (to the dark side as some would say!) to diesel. I decided to move away from MG as the build quality was not great and the engines somewhat outdated in comparison with other manufacturers, in particular Seat which shares the PD (pump-deuse) diesel engine platform with other names such as VW, Audi and Skoda. I took the Seat Ibiza FR TDi out for a test drive and it instantly gave me the wow-factor. With a 128 BHP (130PS) 1.9 litre engine, this diesel is no dawdler!
