...Now here’s an opinion that nearly didn’t get written, mainly because I’m too busy using the damned thing to write about it. I’m talking about my IBM Rapid Access Keyboard. I have been using this for about 18 months now, and if I remember correctly it cost me about £30 from PCW, the shop whose name I can’t bring myself to say in full! Since keyboards can be had for a fiver upwards, what’s so special about it? Review of IBM Rapid Access II - keyboard

Fantastic keyboard, so lovely to type on...

Advantages: Separated keys; very nice to type on, very nice to look at (doh!)

...I've just purchased the Apple Snow Leopard Mac Box Set from my local Apple authorised service provider, and decided to buy an Apple keyboard with it. The Apple keyboard is priced around £28.00 - and no matter what keyboard I try I can type the fastest with this keyboard due to the separated keys. Very quiet key stroke during operation and just very pleasant to use. The keyboard enclosure is made from aluminium and even without being too close to the keyboard you can smell the aluminium when you first open the product, but the smell soon wares off. Advantages: Far better picture than standard composite, better looking games

...This is a good quality keyboard that offers good value for money in the short term. Although as with most electronic products, the value will deteriorate over time and should be anle to get a cheaper version next year. It incorporates most of the latest features and technology that is currently available on the market. The consumer will have to spend a short period of self-training in order to become fully acquainted with using the product. This can be achieved fairly efficiently by making reference to the guide/instructions that comes in the box. After using this product for a few months I have not so far come up against any reliability issues but only time will tell. I therefore have to recommend the product....

Advantages: Good Multimedia Keys, Flat Desgin, Very Easy to Type.
Disadvantages: Need's OS X Tiger with the latest update or higher, No good on Windows.

Typing is very quick and easy. The Keyboard is VERY thin and so it's very easy to move around but will stay where it's put. The Keyboard also has multimedia Keys. These Keys work on OS X good and will work on Windows with Boot Camp Drivers. The Keyboard it self works Plug and Play in Windows but only the standard stuff work. A great keyboard for Vista and XP machines

Not so Acer Keyboard

Advantages: Compact, wrist wrest
Disadvantages: Cheap feel

...of the keyboard. With the slim design it makes for a comfortable rest and is easily more comfortable attached. The cable length of the ACER keyboard is woefully inadequate. Its so short you'd think they accidentally cut the cable off in the factory. This makes life a little difficult when you organise the layout of the PC. More so in a work environment when often you do not have the free choice of where you want your PC setup. All in though the keyboard is very good. We run a number of Dell's at work which are easily surpassed by the ACER keyboard. The height is that bit lower to make for a more comfortable time when using it. The ACER keyboard does have quite a cheap feel to it but this is nothing new on OEM parts....
