...So you have never heard of this game before then. Well let me tell you all about it. This game is about Model Railroading on your PC. No need to get out all your model trains, model hills, model buildings, nothing. All you do is install, load up and play. This is an amazing game, well simulation really. The game itself has been released here in England for around 6 months, i got myn about 4 months ago, and i have to say its awesome. The thing about this game is, you do not just lay down tracks and drive around them. You have to add the scenerary, extra paste boards, like in real life, so you can extend the size of it, and there is really no end to the extending, you can extend it to as long as you want. Also you have to place roads, people, bridges, stations, basically anything you want that is available for you to place...

IBM's "Premium" Flatpanels

Advantages: Flatpanel : take up little space. Great quality sound.
Disadvantages: Simplistic design, slightly flimsy. Lack of volume/treble/bass switches. Expensive.

...Introduction Late last month, I was asked to build a high quality PC for a friend. I don't just mean high quality internal components either, the guy wanted a high definition monitor, top class keyboard and optical mouse...and yeah you guessed it : brilliant speakers. Being only used to purchasing speakers for under 20 quid, I was rather stumped when he asked for speakers in the 50 pounds and up range. So off I went, scouring the computer fairs of the northwest in search of some super speakers. Eventually I came across a stall which seemed to specialise in input components and speakers. After browsing for awhile I caught sight of the IBM multimedia speaker box. The first thing I noticed was the pricetag, a rather hefty 59.99 pounds. IBM PC 300GL easy to upgrade

Advantages: Interchangeable processors
Disadvantages: Its a desktop

...The IBM PC 300GL was origionaly made for the business sector. The higher spec machine similar to the 300GL was the 300PL which some had AGP graphics and LAN comunications support. This was the lower spec of the two machines but still there wasn't alot of difference. If you wanted to have better graphics or LAN support you could fit a PCI graphics card or an extra LAN card. Many motherboards of this spec had at least 4 PCI slots and for this machine that was enough. Some machines were fitted with Celeron 233-333 processors and others were fitted with Pentium 2's or 3's. The higher Pentium 3 machines were the better becuase of the extra 256 or 512 L2 cache which made processing quicker. My origional machine had a Celeron 333 with 64mb ram fitted. The machine i then upgraded to a Pentium 3 which had 512 L2 cache and 384mb...

OQO Model 01+... what is it for exactly?

Advantages: Small, portable, surprisingly fast, good build quality and screen, very unique, many features
Disadvantages: Gets very warm, very pricey on relase, loud when the fan kicks in

...Well, at the start of the summer holidays, I bought an OQO Model 01+. An Ultra Mobile PC (or UMPC as they?re known), something which most people see as a pointless bit of kit (myself included? I saw it, thought WANT and bought it). I didn?t really see a use for it at first, I already had a laptop, a computer, so why did I need it? This left me in a predicament what to do with it. At first it was just an MP3 player and games machine for at work? fair enough it was cheaper than buying an iPod touch, but the battery life is nothing in comparison (And Worms Armageddon gets a little tedious after a while). Maybe use it as an MID? Well I can see that happening, but as a student paying £15 a month for an internet connection that most of the time wouldn?t exist is a waste of money, so it got me thinking... A Model Book

Advantages: Good story, good twists, entertaining

As usual, I've been keeping my local library in business lol, and the latest one I've taken out is "The Model Wife" by an author I've not read before, Julia Llewellyn. It sounded good, and I looked forward to reading it, so here's the review. Poppy Norton is a bit of a cliché, even she admits it. She was unlucky in love until she met News Presenter, father of 3 Luke Norton. The two begin a relationship on the sly, and accidentally Poppy falls pregnant. Luke decides to leave his wife Hannah to set up home with Poppy but soon finds out life with a young model and their newborn daughter doesn't quite match up to his twenty...

In terms of recommendations, I will highly recommend this to the fullest because of its processing speed and efficiency. I have mild Arthritis and wanted to minimise my typing input. On receiving the product, there are clear installation guidelines to follow. Once installed you 'teach' the voice recognition model to recognise the way you pronounce certain words. This involves reading text into your headset.
