Looking into the freezer in the shop how do we decide which ones to purchase? I peer into the supermarket freezer and put a box of Crunchie ice cream bars into my trolley .These ice creams cost me £1.50 for a pack of 4. They can be bought at many supermarkets. These rectangular bars each containing 60ml of ice cream are individually wrapped in a golden plastic foil wrapper. I open one and the rectangular bar is completely covered in a thin covering of chocolate this chocolate is that delicious Cadbury chocolate. ...Summer summer summertime and that only means one thing, ice cream! I love it when it's hot outside as i now have a good excuse to eat ice cream, as if you really need an excuse, but anyway. Crunchie ice cream bar

Advantages: Delicious, and maintains the original taste of crunchie

...I'm writing this revew based on memory mostly from when i ate these almost a box a day rate (sometimes more). Basically what you get is a chocolate covered honeycomb flavoured ice cream bar with small pieces of honeycomb throughout, which in combination is really nice. The chocolate layer is not too thick, and the bulk of the taste comes from the honeycomb, and it tastes great in my opinion. It doesn't go too hard in the freezer, yet maintains form for a good while without falling apart on you. great for the hot weather (ie: sitting in front of the fire). I'd say if you're a fan of crunchies then you must try these next time you're in the mood for ice cream. They house only 155 kcal each bar and this makes them acceptable into most peoples lifestyles, even the strictest dieter could afford one now and again. The only downside...

I scream for Mars Ice cream

Advantages: Much nicer flavours and textures than the chocolate bar version

...Right now, there was nothing more satifying than tooking into one of my favourite chocolate bars, ice cream style on such a sticky hot day. Mars ice cream is, of course, supposedly the same as a Mars Bars (i.e. Chocolate, caramel and malty nougat) with the nougat ommited and replaced with ice cream instead. However, I think the tastes and textures are different (disregarding the ice cream). Okay, they come packaged in the standard black wrapping as is tradition of the Mars Bar. The fornt is really appealing. 'Mars' is written in that new floaty red writting and then 'ice cream' written underneath is the same front but a pale creamy colour. A diabetic ice cream that tastes brilliant!

Advantages: Tastes glorious, not too expensive
Disadvantages: None for me I love this

...I will start by saying that, although I am a diabetic, I rarely buy ?diabetic? products as I know from the research done by Diabetes UK that they are generally not worth the money. It is usually better to eat the ?ordinary? equivalent but in moderation. In fact if you eat some diabetic products such as chocolate the sweeteners used in them can have a quite severe laxative effect as I have discovered to my cost! It is much better to eat a generally low fat, low sugar diet with an occasional treat. I have, however, tried vanilla ice cream that has been specially made for diabetics on a couple of occasions and found it to be white, watery, tasteless stuff so when I saw Franks Diabetic Ice Cream in the freezer at Tesco?s I was in two minds whether to even bother trying it to be honest.
