Why I Go To Icelands

Advantages: Great range of frozen food, free delivery when spending £25
Disadvantages: Small, crowded, waiting at tills

...Although the town I live in is quite small, we are blessed with almost all the big supermarket chains, some of which I use more often than others. Icelands is one of those supermarkets, and the one I use to stock up my freezer. My local store is situated in a retail park a few minutes from Clacton town centre and a handy 5 minute walk from my home. Being on a retail park there's plenty of free parking with a bus stop literally a minutes walk from the entrance. While I have used other branches I'm going to focus on this particular store as it's the one I've used most recently. I don't use Icelands daily or even weekly, in fact I tend to go there about once a month when my freezer needs restocking. All alone on an island

Advantages: Fun family film
Disadvantages: Unrealistic, poor acting from Jodie Foster

...A pleasant little film this one, not the greatest children's adventure film ever made, but a reasonable effort. Synopsis Nim is an 11 year old girl who lost her mother when she was a toddler. He father who's a writer and marine biologist told her she was swallowed by a blue whale which was on the run from a ship called the Buccaneer. Nim and her father Jack live on an island they discovered after sailing around the world for several years. They are the only inhabitants, unless you count a collection of animals which Nim has befriended, included a sealion, a bearded dragon and a pelican. The Island

Advantages: Clearly written. Nice progression.
Disadvantages: Some tragedy but it all might end in something good, is that naive?

...nice and easy to read. It was difficult to put down. When you realise the action is taking you to Greece's leper colony off Crete you might think there could be no adventure, romance or interest. The action takes you through the most unthinkable situations with a human and heroic life and love story that makes gripping reading! 25 year old Alexis isn't sure about her partner and on holiday wants to go off alone and find out a bit about where her mother comes from, a small fishing village in Crete. Her mother gives her a letter to show an old friend. Her mother never talked about her childhood ever, so in the background there must be secrets to probe. The village of Plaka looks over the sea to an island called Spinalonga. Alexis visits it and finds tumbledown remains of a thriving community. A leper community which existed from 1903 to 1957...

Iceland - Free delivery!

Advantages: Fairly small easy to get around, lots of variety, cheaper bread!
Disadvantages: None really.

...My review is based on our local Iceland in Harlow, Essex. I go here quite frequently with my sister, as she's on her own during the day and has four children (3 at school) it's impossible for her to push the babies basket and do a full weeks shopping so I am always on hand to help out. As soon as we arrive at the store my sister goes over to the Home Delivery area (just a little stand with a notebook or something similar on it) and gives them her surname and then advises them that she is doing her shopping now and she normally books a slot for the same day either 1-3pm or 3-5pm, this is about 10am that we are booking it so there always seems to be slots available the same day if you go nice and early. Once we pick up a trolley (with a massive bar on the right hand side to stop you leaving the store with it) you can begin to browse...

Blue Lagoon Iceland

...The Blue Lagoon in Iceland is an experience that cannot really be described without being there first hand, but I will try no less to tell you about this lovely place. Location / Getting There ------------------------------ The Lagoon is based in the middle of nowhere in Iceland; it is about a 35-40 minute drive from Reykjavik via road, and is a short detour past Keflavik airport. ...All the ideas of this film are taken from other places. The whole one story which we think is right and actually turns out to be the total opposite is taken from The Running Man. Advantages: Excellent quality products and stylish clothes

...Although this is one of my favourite shops, i have to admit im not as much of a fan as what i used to be in my teens! At school i was nicknamed miss river island, as everything i wore was from there. Recently though, i find the collection of clothing a little more limited to certain styles than what it used to be. River Island caters for those who like to follow fashion whilst keeping their own twist on it so you can stand out from the crowd. They also have a very stylish menswear collection available. SIZES As i am petite, i love the fact that river island cater for the smaller girl with their range of trousers and jeans, the sizes range from a size 6 to an 18, and the leg lengths on trousers come in short, regular or long. This is ideal for many, but i recommend trying trousers on anyway as sometimes the lengths and waist sizes...
