The Hinckley Island Hotel
Advantages: Great Service and made to feel special!
Disadvantages: Brasserie isn't the best
...The Hinckley Island Hotel is a great 4 Star Hotel. Easy to get to from the M6 or M69. Just get off J2 on the M69.
I've stayed there many times now and have samples the services there. The staff are all very polite and helpful. They all greet you in and around the hotel and are always willing to help.
The hotel is huge and luxurious. I've been lucky enough to have been upgraded from their Standard room's to their Suites twice in the 6 times i've visited the hotel.
The standard rooms are exactly that, standard. Certainly acceptable by most and can be booked most weekends for around £55 which is great!
The Suites are amazing! Made to be just like apartments they have a livingroom, bedroom and bathroom. Also the Suites have VIP packages inside so you get a fresh bowl of fruit and magazines, along with slippers and a robe...

Iceland, Iceland, King of Countries
Advantages: Friendly, Clean, Comfortable
Disadvantages: Not cheap, Located in the Busines District
...In September 2006 my boyfriend took me on a surprise holiday. We got up at 3am and headed off to the airport and I still had no idea where we were heading. With this in mind I?d packed clothes for every occasion. My boyfriend had told me I?d probably need a jumper, but didn?t go into much more detail. So when I got to the airport he handed me a package and when I unwrapped it I saw a guidebook to Iceland in my hands! I was sooo excited! I had an amazing time in Iceland and I thought I?d review the hotel we stayed in as I?ve read a few reviews online since and they seem rather unduly negative to me.
~~First Impressions~~
When we arrived in Iceland we caught a bus Reykjavik and they delivered us right to the door of our hotel. They asked where we were staying and my boyfriend said Park Inn Iceland ? we were soon corrected that...

Scenic Island Hotel Near Famous Sites
Advantages: Peaceful, Fantastic Scenery, Unique
Disadvantages: 15 Minute ferry journey from the river bank, Cool winds from the river
...The first impressions of this five star hotel can be gained from the short ferry journey from a dedicated pier on the East bank of the River Nile. Arriving at night (As I first did) you round the dark shadows of Elephatine Isle to be presented with the magnificent sight that is the Isis Island Hotel.
Ok, I might be exagerating slightly, but not much! After a long journey (4 hours from Luxor, or a short drive from Aswan Airport) you are greeted in the hotel foyer with a glass of cold karkadeh (a drink taken from the hibiscus flower) and comfortable seats while the tour rep introduces him/herself. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, all having a minibar/fridge, television, bath/shower and a balcony with a stunning view of the Nile and depending on which side of the hotel you stay on, a sunset view over the sand dunes...

My Island packed with Gems
Advantages: Fantastic hotel, wonderful amenities
Disadvantages: We didn't want to leave
...Isn?t it always a nightmare finding a decent hotel when you?re going away? I count my blessings that the trip I won to Vegas recently was accompanied by spending money and free accommodation. Although Vegas has an abundance of hotels it can be quite difficult at times to find one that is not overly priced or fully booked as the town always seems to be milling with people of all different nationalities who head there for short breaks, holidays or day trips to sample the delights of the many casinos, shows and hotel facilities.
The Treasure Island is situated in the middle of The Strip and is easily identifiable by the enormous replica pirate ship that bobs up and down on the clear blue water at the front of the hotel. A wooden walkway surrounded by palm trees runs alongside the water and the hotel can either be accessed here or by...

Deluxe 5 star hotel, one of the best on the island of Cyprus
Advantages: Luxury rooms, great choice of food, friendly, efficient service, leisure facilities, location
Disadvantages: Expensive but typical of a 5 star luxury hotel
...like royalty, and one of the few 5 star hotels on the island who welcome and cater for families.
The hotel is open to the public and some of it's restaurants are too (Chinese, Seafood & Fish, gourmet Greek) and these can get booked up so its worth booking in advance. The same goes for the spa, hairdressers etc - if you are planning on a relaxing day of thalasotherapy check availability early on in your holiday. During peak season some of the kids clubs can get full so again its advisable to check and plan ahead where possible.
If you need information on local excursions, car hire, places to see, speak to guest relations or reception, they have lots of information and directions to various places and also offer a range of excursions or car hire.
This isn't the place to go if you are looking for a cheap holiday, it's a luxury...

Why I Go To Icelands
Advantages: Great range of frozen food, free delivery when spending £25
Disadvantages: Small, crowded, waiting at tills
...Although the town I live in is quite small, we are blessed with almost all the big supermarket chains, some of which I use more often than others. Icelands is one of those supermarkets, and the one I use to stock up my freezer. My local store is situated in a retail park a few minutes from Clacton town centre and a handy 5 minute walk from my home. Being on a retail park there's plenty of free parking with a bus stop literally a minutes walk from the entrance. While I have used other branches I'm going to focus on this particular store as it's the one I've used most recently.
I don't use Icelands daily or even weekly, in fact I tend to go there about once a month when my freezer needs restocking. You see, Iceland specialises in selling frozen food, although they do sell a limited number of fresh and dried food the range of these...

All alone on an island
Advantages: Fun family film
Disadvantages: Unrealistic, poor acting from Jodie Foster
...A pleasant little film this one, not the greatest children's adventure film ever made, but a reasonable effort.
Synopsis
Nim is an 11 year old girl who lost her mother when she was a toddler. He father who's a writer and marine biologist told her she was swallowed by a blue whale which was on the run from a ship called the Buccaneer.
Nim and her father Jack live on an island they discovered after sailing around the world for several years. They are the only inhabitants, unless you count a collection of animals which Nim has befriended, included a sealion, a bearded dragon and a pelican. Occasionally they receive parcels from the mainland which contain items they can't produce for themselves, some of Nim's favourite items are books, particularly those of the great adventurer Alex Rover.
Across the other side...

Hotel International
Advantages: Location, breakfasts
Disadvantages: Poor rooms
...I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights.
LOCATION:
The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal.
PRICE:
Prices vary depending on size of room and season. There are singles, doubles and triples available. We paid Euro254 for the whole time...

The Island
Advantages: Clearly written. Nice progression.
Disadvantages: Some tragedy but it all might end in something good, is that naive?
...nice and easy to read. It was difficult to put down. When you realise the action is taking you to Greece's leper colony off Crete you might think there could be no adventure, romance or interest. The action takes you through the most unthinkable situations with a human and heroic life and love story that makes gripping reading!
25 year old Alexis isn't sure about her partner and on holiday wants to go off alone and find out a bit about where her mother comes from, a small fishing village in Crete. Her mother gives her a letter to show an old friend. Her mother never talked about her childhood ever, so in the background there must be secrets to probe. The village of Plaka looks over the sea to an island called Spinalonga. Alexis visits it and finds tumbledown remains of a thriving community. A leper community which existed from 1903 to 1957...

Poor hotel on a lovely island
Advantages: Climate, pool terrace on top of building
Disadvantages: Staff, facilities, rooms the whole experience
...We visited Malta for the first time 2 years ago and stayed at this hotel and I can assure you we would never consider the Bella Vista again.
We are widely travelled to 3rd world places like India and this so called 2 star hotel was an insult to 2 stars.
The food was okay but unimaginative, the location was noisy and quite a way from the main town, the rooms can only be described a s adequate and we had a ridiculously small balcony ( we had to take turns to sit on it !) overlooking what seemed like a housing estate.
What was particularly awful was the many restrictions, the rudeness and disinterest of the staff and their total lack of customer care. It seemed as if they couldn't care less about the guests and just seemed interested in enforcing petty rules. I was told off ( yes actually told off) by the head waiter in front of other...
