...minute episodes there are a number of special features in the set which are actually entertaining to watch and add to the boxset rather than just being filler. The four audio commentaries are as entertaining as the episodes, full of banter with insight into the thinking behind Ideal. The blooper reel is genuinely funny and made me wonder how they ever managed to complete a single episode, but my favourite was the ?Ideal interview?, where writer Graham Duff introduces the main characters while in the guise of Brian. The ?making of? is also above average, showing the development of the programme and the great rapport between the actors and production team. Advantages: A magazine bursting with home information and ideas

Ideal World - Ideal for crafters!

Disadvantages: Normal postage rates, impulse to buy everything

...I'm not sure how I got started watching the home television shopping channels but I have been buying things from them for about 4 years now. I have bought from the bid up and price drop channels, QVC and just recently from Ideal World. Ideal World sells everything from craft goods, beauty products, garden tools, jewellery, clothes, shoes and many other great products for use around the home. They broadcast on free-view and paid for cable/satellite subscriptions. Each hour has a specific theme such as create and craft, pick of the day, gardening in style etc. Some of the presenters can be a little over the top and irritating at times, but 1 presenter is never on for more than an hour and they are usually joined by an expert in the field of whatever they are selling so you can ignore what they are saying and just focus...

My Ideal Foundation...

Advantages: SPF 10, stylish design, has lasted a while, not too greasy, practical (fits in bag) etc
Disadvantages: Has cracked down the side (although hardly visible), quite expensive

The Scottish education system is quite bit different to others in the UK. It is basically the GCSE of Scotland. It is studied by 3rd and 4th years at High School with the ages from 14-16. ...FUSCHIA STANDARDS Up until 2 years ago every minute of my life was taken up by fuschias. I grew them for show as well as pleasure and you could find a fuschia in every nook and cranny of my garden and greenhouse. Since my wife became housebound i just grow a few for pleasure because i have not enough time to justify their beauty. Growing a standard fuschia is an easy task for any gardener with a greenhouse or conservatory. For your first time attempt i would suggest `snowcap`. This is a semi double size flower with red petals and white sepals, or, perhaps `display` which is a single flower almost entirely pink. You can grow a quarter standard in one season but really they are better grown during the first season to flower the second. Just for interest a quarter standard is between 10 and 18" inches high not counting...

Almost Ideal!

Advantages: Great location, cheap
Disadvantages: No air-con, noise from traffic and cleaners

...It's a trade off which often crops up when arranging accommodation for city breaks - a central location costs more but in the end you may spend as much on transport as you think you've already saved. In June my partner and I spent a week in Naples. He was there for a few days for work, I would do my own thing for the first couple of days then we would have a couple more days to ourselves. We needed to be fairly close to the centre for the wok engagements but cost was our primary concern. Sadly Ciao could not help so we trawled through pages and pages of websites, eventually finding Hotel Ideal. True to its name it did sound like a very good option - close to the city's main bus and train stations, near to Naples' main shopping area and only a short walk away from the sea; the price was reasonable and it did have a double room...

Not such an Ideal World

Advantages: Easy home shopping , some good prices
Disadvantages: Expensive premium rate phone charges , some goods poor quality

...Ideal World feels like the poor relation in terms of shopping channels . I have not seen many others only having access via Freeview but have found that Ideal World has a bit of a 'cheap' shop feel about it . It is located on Freeview channel 22 and can be viewed on-line also . The presenters are a bit of a smarmy bunch . They do not have any charming , natural appeal but rather seem forced and contrived . The channel sells a wide range of goods from clothes to computers to curtains to jewellery and much more . Each presentation or show lasts an hour . Occasionally there are two one hour shows for the same product in each successive show . I have only orderd a couple of times and the goods have arrived promptly and in good condition . One of the problems with Ideal World is that when you order by telephone the call charges...
