...When i first got my PlayStation3 i had to say i was disappointed with the somewhat lightweight and flimsy feeling Sixaxis Controller as it didn't quite have the sturdiness and comfort of the Dual Shock 2 for the Sony PlayStation 2.
So it's not hard to guess just how pleased i was that Sony had overcome a patent disagreement and managed to release a Dual Shock 3 controller. It has the right amount of weight in it and it doesn't affect the motion sensors in the controller either, it really does feel quite right between your hands.
The New trigger style L2 and R2 buttons remain the same as the Sixaxis but whether or not you like these buttons is just down to personal preference, i found them hard to use at first with my fingers slipping off of them but in due time i got used to it no bother. The Rumble is good too, it's not overly hard...

Did we really need the luxury of having your sims walk arround the neighbourhood themselves?
In my opinion I think not. If I am honest with you, on the previous Sims games, when you orderd your sims to leave there home plot a blue loading screen would appear. Now this screen would annoy me so much and felt as though it was taking forever. After playing both the Sims 2 & the Sims 3 I would prefer the blue loading screen back. The game now i feel is to complicated.
Installing the game was very straight forward no problems at all, I knew i would have to make some space for it, 6.1GB of hard disk to be exact...

Advantages: Seamless, traits, Sims are better looking Disadvantages: Hard to keep track of, game play more complicated
..., etc etc. This does add a whole new realm of gameplay to it, though it takes some getting used to. You can't actually see inside all of the community lots, however with some such as the library or the gym you can. You are also able to buy more specific things now - for example, there is a book shop so you can buy a specific book, or you can buy specific ingrediants to make different meals. It's easy to move from one Sim to the next, although having Sims in various places around the neighborhood obviously makes it harder to keep track of them than if they were all sitting around the house. There is no lag whatsoever however. You can literally follow your Sim as they run to the grocery store or the beach, with no loading screens or anything like that. Oddly, Sims 3 actually runs much faster on my laptop than Sims 2 did!

...OH MY GOD. Honestly, I remember the days when I used to be OBSESSED with the first version of The Sims. It took over my life! Its such an addictive game. But, unfortunately, I never got around to buying Sims 2, and I went straight to Sims 3 when it came out.
Sims has always been an amazing classic, the absolute King of simulation games. Or Queen if you prefer.
If you enjoy Simulation games, The Sims 3 is definitely worth the £35 it costs. But be careful not to play it too much, it can take over your life! It becomes so addictive!
Theres so many things you can do. Your Sims are fully customisable, and I've succeeded in making Sims of some of my family and friends. When I see my mum walking around the house on screen, it looks so real its freaky!
All in all its a brilliant game, just don't let yourself get too addicted!...
