Absolute stunner of a monitor.

Advantages: Stunning 2ms respose time and superb image quality
Disadvantages: Rubbish waste of time built in speakers. No tilt function.

...After struggling to read my 19" iilyama CRT which really was reaching the end of its life i decided to splash out on the ProLite E1900S. Well I say splash out, I was surprised at how cheaply I could pick this monitor up. The feature that swung it was the DVI input and I could't wait to see how that performed. The DVI cable is NOT included so you would need to order one separately. On connection the monitor was instantly displaying and my screen was aligned perfectly without so much as a button push. Construction is clean and nice with a balance and style to the surround. The tiny speakers sit nicely in the frame either side of the buttons. I have never used these however. I knew what I wanted - a 486 processor running at 25MHz, 8Mb RAM, 200Mb harddrive and most importantly an Iiyama 14" monitor. Sadly the wages department of the hotel restaurant I worked through that long and tedious summer dictated a few small changes. The PC eventually became a 386 processor running at 40MHz, 4Mb RAM, 120Mb harddrive and no Iiyama monitor. Instead of the Iiyama I had some rebadged monitor with a huge curve and a low refresh rate. ...I had one of these for about a year until I sold it off for an Xbox 360 (good decision). I found the DS Lite has very good wireless play for friends in the area with one of them. The chat rooms are also quite useful if you are on a trip with several friends. As I found out, on a ski trip, I spent about 3 hours on the DS racing about 10 other people in Mario Kart; its a brilliant way to pass a journey. However, equally, it is also fun offline. Iiyama VM Pro 455

Advantages: Exceptional pricing for a great fst screen
Disadvantages: Picture position can vary on warming up

...I use 2 of these screens daily in a triple head setup (455, 454, 455). They are exceptional value for money and at the time I couldn't quite afford to buy 3 VM PRO 454s. Personally I think they look best at 1280 x 1024. You certainly wouldn't want to go above that on these screens. They're not quite as sharp as a 454, and the brightness is notably less than on a 454. Annoyances: OPQ has only 2 settings on the 455 - on or off. When you switch it on it looks great when you have something white open, but once you start moving windows, etc, it can appear too blurred. The 454 on the other hand has 3 settings - text, picture and video (if I remember correctly).
