The best 19" TFT panel in its price range by far!

Advantages: Excellent quality large screen, DVI support, very reasonable price
Disadvantages: No USB hub, weak speakers

...Earlier this year I set out on a mission to build the ultimate desktop computer. I used to have a Sony laptop and I was getting quite tired of not being able to upgrade it or play any decent games on it. The one thing I did like about a laptop is a TFT screen. I knew that if I was going to get a desktop it would have to come with a TFT display. I?ve browsed around to see what would be the best option for me and came up with this model ? the Iiyama PLE481S Design This screen stood out amongst its competition with its classic, clean design. I admit it doesn?t look as good as Sony or LG offerings in the category but it is quite pleasant to look at. I always gets compliments on it whenever someone walks into my study and sees it gracing the desk. The layout of the buttons is quite pleasant and the buttons themselves are nice and easy to...

Iiyama - a name to trust

Advantages: Quality, design
Disadvantages: Price

...Thanks in advance for reading this and I hope it helps you in making a purchasing decision. Over a decade ago I was a poor student shopping for my first ever PC. I knew what I wanted - a 486 processor running at 25MHz, 8Mb RAM, 200Mb harddrive and most importantly an Iiyama 14" monitor. Sadly the wages department of the hotel restaurant I worked through that long and tedious summer dictated a few small changes. The PC eventually became a 386 processor running at 40MHz, 4Mb RAM, 120Mb harddrive and no Iiyama monitor. Instead of the Iiyama I had some rebadged monitor with a huge curve and a low refresh rate. The Iiyama was the first thing to drop off the list as it saved the most money. My point? Even then Iiyama was synonymous with quality and of design and product. The Cathode Ray montiors they produced then had an appropriately...

IIyama vision master pro 1413 17"

Advantages: Price, quality, reliability
Disadvantages: Not for advanced and demanding users

...1 IIyama is definitely one of most recognized and respected both CRT and LCD manufacturer,( for Windows and Macintosh) and that places it above other producers on market because of it's expirience, and japanese origin. Sometimes people say that company that is focused on one specific item makes better stuff and if it comes about IIyama i can fully agree. External look IIyama vision master pro 1413 17" is simple monitor without addons like speakers or tv tuner and is available in cream (white) color ( some other models comes in black or silver ). Unusual design creates a picture of massive and solid construction and reminds me an oval cut in half. Monitor is put together very well, all joints fits perfectly. Even being a low budget product still looks as new; plastics used to assebble are rather good quality and have...

Iiyama Vision Master Pro 513

Advantages: Huge picture
Disadvantages: Huge footprint

...behind it. Then I was able to slide it back further and it became a bit more viable. So, to sum up: this is a great monitor but it goes back quite a way. If you have the room then the Iiyama Vision Master Pro 513 could be a good choice. If space is a priority then LCDs are improving all the time....

Best £400 I've spent recently

Advantages: Excellent Quality, Easy to use
Disadvantages: No volume control

...A 19 inch TFT panel screen with a small foot-print stand, ideal for freeing up desk space. A maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024 which it handles effortlessly with perfect clarity. I prefer to use it at 1152 x 864 but that?s because of a deficiency with my eye-sight rather than any problem with the monitor. Connections are: Analogue and Digital (DVI) Video, Line In/Line Out Jacks and a Headphone Jack Socket, but no volume control. Controls include Brightness, Contrast and Image Alignment; and are simple and logical to use. Interestingly, as it is not a documented feature, it appears to auto adjust the image alignment when switching screens. I use it with a KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) switch to connect to 4 PCs. Each PC Video card has slightly different characteristics so switching between machines can upset image alignment, but...

DS Lite!

Advantages: Fun, easy to use, great features, great games!
Disadvantages: Once you pick it up its hard to put down

...I own 2 DS Lites, my son has one and my partner does, they come in a great range of colours Black,White,Pink and the newer Blue. The touch screen on them is great, it makes the games so much more fun and with games like super mario you get mini games that all use the touch screen and they are great fun. As for the size of it well i carnt complain its small quite slim and light! hence the name. As for the age recomended on these my son has had one since last christmas and at the time he was 3! and after about a day learnt how to use it better than me lol. some games can be akward for smaller children but the likes of super mario, mario kart, shrek, cars ect are great for them. Its also very durable my son has dropped his on tiled floor, sat on it and god knows what else and its fine, its also very easy to keep clean. From...

Iiyama Vision Master Pro 451

Advantages: Best resolutions. Best refresh rates. Stylish. Light weight. Long lasting. Big 19" display, small case
Disadvantages: Expensive. Trinitron (2 dark lines 1/3 & 2/3 down screen). No installation disk (Files on Internet). Blurry at far corners at highest resolutions

...I have been upgrading my pc ever since I bought my first one. I can actually say that I have enough spare parts to build another seperate pc. Never for one moment did I think that it was about time that I improved my interacting experience with my computer. But recently I decided that since I spend such a long time on my pc per day I should get something to reduce eye strain and fatigue. I decided I wanted a monitor, not just any monitor because I new that monitors are THE most expensive part of a pc. I wanted to make sure I could get a monitor I new I could trust. I read endless reviews and found out that the company Iiyama was recently rated 3rd best monitor manufacturer. But that was overall, as far as quality goes I had read the specs of the monitor Vision Master Pro 451 and was SERIOUSLY impressed. The Vision Master Pro...

Pure lite fun!

Advantages: Great
Disadvantages: none

...My husband and I have had our DS Lites for well over a year now and we still really enjoy them. I like the black model, as i think it looks most stylish and grown-up! But if i was kid, I would adore a pink one!! The graphics can be extremely high standard. You can get various games for the DS lite, many of which are absolutely top of the range in terms of graphics, while others are more old school like Tetris. The double screen means that with certain games characters can move between the two. Other games use only one screen as the main gaming screen and has useful information on the other. The lower screen is a touch-pad and the DS Lite comes with a stylus pen so that you can write on it. Certain games involve you using this pen continually, rather than using the buttons - such as games involving animals where you have to pet them...

Nintendo DS Lite

Advantages: Stylus system Touch Screen Gameboy Advance Compatibility Small game cartridges wireless play
Disadvantages: graphics games are limited

...I had one of these for about a year until I sold it off for an Xbox 360 (good decision). I found the DS Lite has very good wireless play for friends in the area with one of them. The chat rooms are also quite useful if you are on a trip with several friends. As I found out, on a ski trip, I spent about 3 hours on the DS racing about 10 other people in Mario Kart; its a brilliant way to pass a journey. However, equally, it is also fun offline. Although the games don't have as good graphics as the likes of the Xbox 360 or PS3. They are still not bad and they do have the one of a kind revolutionary stlylus-touch screen system. This allows you to draw out the actions on the touch screen of the DS in certain games. More credit is put to the DS lite since it is compatible with the older gameboy advance games (quite a few consoles don't allow...
