...During the late nineties, there were a couple of American big budget films made about an asteroid heading towards Earth. Deep Impact was one of these movies. Deep Impact is about a comet that is on a collision course with Earth and will result in mass destruction and extinction of the human race. A news reporter Jenny Lerner (Tea Leoni), stumbles upon this story by accident, whilst investigating a high level government officials, suspicious resignation. The US Preseident, Tom Beck (Morgan Freeman), initiates a plan to launch a spaceship into orbit to attempt to destroy the comet into smaller safer pieces. As a back-up plan, he also randomly selects 1 million people who will relocate to specially designed caves in order to save the population from extinction. THIS ALBUM HAD A LOT OF IMPACT!

Advantages: Tight musicianship, riff-fest, aggressive-ness is displayed well, lyrics fit in with the music
Disadvantages: Variation is needed in the album

...Dew-Scented- Impact ( I won't review all the songs; there are a few songs I am not too sure about) I bought this album more than a few years ago now; when I picked up any album I could find and hoped I liked it! I was just pretty lucky when I stumbled across this album as it helped to solidify my continuing interest in thrash and death metal. Without this album I wouldn't even contemplate facing the death metal genre. It is a stepping stone from thrash metal to death metal. What surprises me is that this band brings nothing new to the genre but it still has a special place in my heart. ...As a huge fan of disaster films, the movie, Deep Impact is one of the best of its kind as evidenced by its unique delivery. With the help of our present day technology, the movie stirs a lot of emotions that is deeply moving and believable. Like always, Steven Spielberg did an excellent job in this arena of real life images and special effects. In appreciation of the story itself, the movie has dual elements to describe a asteroid hitting earth. It has the physical reality and the emotional side. On the physical side, The comet's strike towards earth in this movie created a deep scar on its surface with the impact that is so immensely great and made believable with this day and age of cinematic technology. More a playful tap than an "Impact!"

Advantages: Looks good, great fun to play, organic feeling moves
Disadvantages: Glicthtastic, lack of depth, silly learning curve

.... You shimmy across the rope to the X in the centre. This brings up a mini game where you have to stop the arrow over the green marker. Each successful attempt fills up a little gauge and once it's full, you fall to the ground with X in hand as the winner. Having said that, it can sometimes degenerate into you and your opponent just taking turns to kick each other off the ropes - TNA uses a stun meter and unless your opponent's stun meter is full, they'll get up pretty much straight away. Also, while there is a little body icon to show which body parts have been damaged, the wrestler will show no ill effects, so attacking the legs is not going to make your opponent move any slower. Finishers are nice and easy to put off. As with the competition, you fill up your "Impact" meter and once full, you simply grab your opponent and press...

High Impact, High Value

Down Impact

Advantages: Good for a laugh.
Disadvantages: Extremely far fetched.

...I watched Deep Impact last night as there was nothing else on television. I had forgotten how far fetched and useless the film actually was. Most of the film is boring and the only bit of action is at the end when the Comet actually hits earth. I found this quite funny as when the Comet hit earth you saw a huge tidal wave which earlier you had been told would go inland 200 miles. There is a young boy and girl who are two of the main characters. You see them jump on a motorbike and ride off, the comet then hits the ocean. You see them ride past a sign which says that they are 6 miles from the ocean. They then manage to go far enough up a hillside to avoid being hit by the tidal wave. I found this very far fetched as there was no way that they would have had time. Overall I found this film boring in most parts and the end...
