512MB: Saved Moments

...brands like Kodak and so on but the Kingston ones seemed to be coming up a lot in my searches and I had heard of them before for USB drives and they seem to have a good name behind them. Their memory cards come in all sizes from 1GB, 2GB, 4GB and the one I have 512MB which is probably one of the smallest but it is fine for me for now. Most Kodak cameras will accept an SD card but there are other types as you will see when you go to print off your photos. On the side of my camera is a door and there is a slot for the camera where you just click in your SD card and then the memory mounts up instantly. I also know that my laptop is SD compatible and so I just slide the card into the slot at the side and then my photos load up without the hassle of a USB cable. I know most Dell laptops come with this slot and I have a Sony Vaio so I'm guessing...

512mb memory unit - too small?

Advantages: SMall and easy to take around with you and for storing game saves
Disadvantages: Expensive and a hard drive would be far more beneficial

...If you purchase the xbox arcade console then you will get one of these 512mb memory units free with the console. However if you opt to go for either the premium console or the elite console you will get the main hard drive for free and will have less need for these. These small memory units are both advantageous as they are small and compact and suitable for certain tings. However they are on the other hand quite pathetic compared to the 20gb or 120gb hard drives which are also available on the market. ...The Xbox 360 512MB Memory Unit was created with Casual Gamers in mind. For those of us who didn't want to buy the Premium or Elite XBOX 360 units, the alternative was and still is the arcade version. The difference between the Arcade and Premium / Elites is that it doesn't come bundled with a hard drive to save your games on. ...Now, you may see these for sales on various websites and be wondering whether they are really Sony made. Well, as far as I can tell, they are. They certainly have all of the trappings of a genuine item, Sony logo, MagicGate, proper serial numbers and model numbers. My PS2 spotted it no problem when I went into the Browser and reported it as a 32mb card, so I thought 'Happy Days!'. Played on my game, saved it, everything great. It even appeared to save as quickly as any other card I have used too (Sony PS2, Max, Sony PS1) The price is fantastic too. I got mine for under half the price of an 8mb card and it came in from Hong Kong!
