...When the old family washing machine finally packed up after a good 9 year run (R.I.P) it was time to time to turn our attention towards getting a new machine to live up to the old one's speeds, reliability and general performance. It was quite a few months ago now that we were flicking through an old Argos catalogue looking for a new machine. The criteria that had to be met were: 1) High speeds for those stubborn stains 2) A good energy rating, so I feel like i'm doing my bit. 3) A good price We finally decided on the Indesit SIXL 145S because it pretty much met all the above criteria though we did have to get over the opaque door which although seeming very small it was a weird notion not to be able to see the washing at all until the cycle finished. Indesit Baan 12s fridge freezer

Advantages: Very good price, attractive frost free fridge freezer
Disadvantages: Rust appeared quickly, broke down after 3 years

...I bought the Indesit frost free freezer after moving house, the price was very reasonable at £229.00. The capacity of the fridge freezer is good it's fine for a family of three and my sister also has one and does okay with a family of five. The applicance is very quiet and aesthetically pleasing. There are 3 glass shelves plus 2 salad boxes which are pretty deep. There are also 3 freezer boxes with a fast freeze plus ice cube trays built into them which I must admit I hardly used. The fridge freezer was frost free and I've only had to defrost it myself once in three years which is good going, the fridge always worked very well and kept food nice and fresh, it was also very easy to keep clean. The downside was rust appeared on the inner seals pretty quickly probably within the first year. The door also dents very easily...

Indesit Omega 1200 and Hoover Service Centre

Disadvantages: Unreliable, poor performance, costly.

Indesit IS70C scored Gold!

Advantages: the indesit IS70C is lightweight and extremely quiet when on. It holds a massive 7kg of clothes
Disadvantages: The indesit IS70C has really no disadvantages other than the fact it is only energy efficient C

...I decided a few months ago due to having electric heaters than i need a tumble drier to dry my laundry being in a top floor flat. I shopped around for a good three days looking for a condenser tumble dryer that was excellent value for money which provided a machine that had a large capacity and was easy to use. I stumbled across the indesit IS70C which was everything i was looking for. It was simple to use, extremely quiet and had a massive 7kg clothes capacity and an amazing 5kg water condenser capacity. ...expectancy was 5 years. Well, once bitten, twice shy. I will definately not buy an Indesit washing machine again. If you do, i would strongly advice to take out the further warranty, but with the added price of that i think you would be better off putting that money towards a better make like zanussi, my mum has had hers for nearly 20 years and still going streong. They say their products last a life time, and am thinking they do!...

Indesit WD12 Bargain Buster!!!!

...I moved into my flat 5 years ago where i had a built in washing machine which was truly horrific despite being brand new the drum was dented and made the most horrific noise which i could live with but being on the 2nd floor my neighbours really couldnt. I decided it was really time to upgrade and due to lack of space and already having a superb tumble dryer i decided it was time to invest in an integrated washer dryer despite everyone trying to convince me otherwise based on the fact that if one part fails they both fail. I shopped around for truly ages and decided upon the indesit 12x as my faithful tumble dryer was the same make. I truly can not personally fault indesit they have never failed me yet!!! The indesit WD12 is definately by far in my opinion a market leader with no vent required and no condenser this machine...

...After 18 months my WD12X Indesit washing machine gave up the ghost, a repairman came, took one look at it, and said, it's an Indesit, they're always going wrong, it's not worth repairing. Searching on the web rapidly confirmed that indeed Indesit washing machines are always going wrong. To add insult to injury, my Indesit cooker (also 18 months old) went wrong the same week, which cost £60 to repair, and my Indesit diswasher is giving me cause for concern too. Indesit offered the usual fob off excuses you would expect, and in short showed no concern for the fact their machines break down so shortly after the guarantee expires. My advice, avoid Indesit like the bubonic plague, their machines are a waste of money....

Indesit proposal IMPORTANT UPDATE

This is the third Indesit washing machine I have owned which may be considered stupid ? why have I needed three and why did I even consider a third? It?s not all doom and gloom. So slow Indesit

...We have had our Indesit WDG1095W Washer / Dryer for about a year now and we cannot believe how slow this washing machine is. Although it does clean the clothes well, every wash cycle is so long, that it is beginning to drive us mad. When we use the “White Cotton” wash it takes over two and a half hours to complete the whole wash; and this is without using the dryer function! We have given up using the dryer completely. When we did use the dryer, the loads had to be so small, and take so long that the cost of electricity for any load to dry is ridiculous expensive.
