Advantages: Clear high quality voice/ phrases-excellent over all quality Disadvantages: NONE
...a functioning whip that indy can hold and the 'Golden Temple ' My son tells me its the Golden Temple its a little golden statue looking thing and I'm trusting my son as he is the true fan .
Picking IndianaJones up he does feel a bit heavier then I would have expected but I guess its to do with the speakers thats built in-He feels very sturdy ,with bendable arms ,wrists and legs, you can turn his head all the way round. His face has a very good likeness and if you look closely you will see a little facial hair growth -well its painted on or however they do it and not actually stubbly !
At the time of purchase this figure was £14.99 and I feel at that price you get exceptional value, even the batteries were included and its been a few months since my son's birthday now and they are still going strong.
CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THIS TOY,LOOK AFTER IT...
Advantages: It does have Harrison Ford in it Disadvantages: It's nothing compared to the originals
...Harrison Ford dons the fedora yet again for IndianaJones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, a mere 19 years after the last Jones film. This one, unlike the others, is set during the cold war and has the Russians as the enemies instead of the Nazis. Soviet agents are watching Professor Jones when a young man brings him a coded message from an old colleague, Henry Oxley. Led by the brilliant Irina Spalko (Cate Blanchett), the Soviets tail Jones and the young man, Mutt, to Peru. With Oxley's code, they find a legendary skull made of a single piece of quartz.
I'm 25, so I grew up with the original IndianaJones trilogy, and I still consider them 3 of the greatest movies I've ever seen. I've seen each one umpteen times and yet, if they're on TV, I can still watch them and be entertained. That is the mark of a classic film.
I...
Advantages: Fun to play, can be quite addictive Disadvantages: Maybe not for hardcore gamers
...Lego IndianaJones: The Original Adventures is the new game from the successful LEGO series. Made in part by Lucas Arts, it means that there are no imitations here, everyone looks the way they're supposed to (well, as much as they can being Lego) and the situations you find yourself in are straight from the movies.
You start off in college, from here you can pick and choose what you want to do. On the first floor are three doors, one for each film. There are 6 levels for you to explore from each film, and relate directly to each respective movie, for instance you fight in Marion's bar in the "Raiders", save Willy from the fire pit in "The Temple of Doom" and find the tomb of Sir Richard in "The Last Crusade". All of this fully immerses you in the films and is superb for a big fan of the films like myself.
There are also rooms...
Advantages: Harrison Ford, classic Indy humour and tension, the music Disadvantages: That ending!
...Let's get one thing straight from the start. I'm a huge fan of IndianaJones. Always have been. I think the original trilogy of Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom, and the Last Crusade are cinematic genius. That hat, that music, Harrison Ford...love it all.
For years there were rumours of an "Indy IV". Scripts came and went, everyone seemed to be on board but it was all about finding the right script. Then one day, they had it. And the hype began. I was very excited, devouring Empire every month to see what news there was. Finally, IndianaJones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was released...and reactions were mixed, It was reported to be "definitely Indy" but also there was something not right. Had Spielberg and Lucas gone too far? Was it another Phantom Menace, god forbid?
The storyline of Crystal Skull follows Indy...
Advantages: It's Lego! Fun, great cutscenes Disadvantages: Inability to save mid-level
...I loved playing with Lego as a child (still do if I'm honest) and I also owned quite a few Lego video games.
Lego IndianaJones for the Wii is just as much fun as I expected it to be. The gameplay is quite simple in theory, made easier by the fact it would seem you can't actually die and lose, instead when you lose your health you just lose gems/points that you've collected. However that doesn't make the whole game easy, you still have to work at each level and it can occasionally be difficult to see what you're supposed to be doing. These seems to be a lot of life to this game, i.e. it seems that there is a lot of levels/stages and will therefore provide hours of entertainment. My favourite part has to be the cutscenes, they are simply hilarious. The characters don't talk, instead they grunt and have some rather amusing facial...
Advantages: Good adventure Disadvantages: Too much computer generation
...IndianaJones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
It's finally here, the fourth instalment of the Indian Jones series which we have waited 19 years for is finally here and the verdicts are in, but is it any good or not?
I went to see this at the cinema this weekend with three others, one of which had never seen an Indian Jones film before (how is that possible?) but we talked her into it.
I am a big fan of the films and first saw them as a child but have watched them over and over again through the years (generally when they are on the tele over Christmas) so I was hoping that this one was going to be as good. I read a lot of the critic's reviews before seeing it which in general weren't that complimentary but kept an open mind going into it. Cinema goers however didn't seem to worry about bad reviews as the film took £12.5m...
Advantages: Lots of unloackables Disadvantages: No online multiplayer
...The previous LEGO games successfully focused on the StarWars trilogy but now they've turned their attention to the IndianaJones franchise.
Fortunately this game still has all the quirky humor and great gameplay that was present in the LEGO StarWars games.
You play as Indiana and travel thorough jungles, mountains and lava filled caves searching for the world's most valuable treasures.
Being a big fan of the films I did notice some irregularities between the films and the game. Firstly enemies are not established as the Nazis and in the temple of doom no-one gets their heart ripped out, but I suppose it is LEGO.
Just like the LEGO StarWars games there are no voiceovers in cut scenes so people unfamiliar with the films may get a little confused about what is going on. But the cut scenes are excellently done with some laugh out...
...is resumed with an eight-character password, and an extra becomes available on collecting all the treasure. However, had I been a fan of the franchise and not have had the chance to play the N64 version of this title (which was not released outside of America) I would have been sorely disappointed with this outing on the Game Boy Color. Perhaps there is a reason as to why the credits after completion are tricky to make out - those responsible for this game should be given a good whipping (not in a playful kinky kinda way). IndianaJones and the Infernal Machine is of a decent length, but with dodgy level designs dragged down by poor puzzles and painful platforming, it's a terrible title, and definitely not one to be treasured....
Advantages: Harrison Ford has never been better Disadvantages: Ray Winstone has never been worse, clumsy script, overelaborate plot.
...To start with I think it's only fair to declare the fact that I am a massive IndianaJones fan. My first memory of going to the cinema was to see Raiders Of The Lost Ark when I was six and I have seen it at least ten times since. The subsequent two films don't quite measure up to the original masterpiece, but I still love them both, largely because Harrison Ford as IndianaJones is the most compelling action hero of all time (including any of the Bonds as 007 - feel free to comment ;-)).
So when a friend offered me tickets to a preview of the new film I was delighted. The Odeon in Leicester Square two days before the film goes on general release - my anticipation and excitement in the weeks leading up to the screening were bordering on high fever (a bit pathetic really!). But the negative internet mumblings that dogged the prerelease...
Advantages: starts off well Disadvantages: rediculous ending
...Film only review........
Indianajones has been one of, if not the most talked about series of films in the world. I grew up with these films, and remember sneaking downstairs to watch them in my stripy pyjamas (can't say when that was, don't want to give away my age!). IndianaJones, was simply the coolest guy in the whole world, to me. The way that he could solve all the clues, and fight his way out of any corner. He had it all, brains and braun.
I was over joyed to here that they were making a fourth film, but I always had it in my head that it would be a let-down. Harrison Ford is, after all, a few years older and a few pounds heavier. But, I thought, why couldn't he pull it off? Willis did it with 'live free, die hard' in 2007. Stallone did it with the final rocky film (though he also failed miserably with that pathetic...
