Infocus Lite Pro 425 Projector

...The Infocus Lite Pro 425 is a LCD projector designed to display computer images onto a screen or wall. Its compact size shows that it has been built with portability in mind. This projector was purchased about 3 years ago by the company I work for. The projector cost about £1400 and at the time and it was a pretty high specification machine. The projector can display a maximum computer resolution of 800x600 and this is in 24bit colour. Although this is still acceptable, the resolution is perhaps a little low by today?s standards. Out of Focus customer care.

Advantages: Cheap for the level of resolution
Disadvantages: Poor customer and aftersales - not a home cinema projector

...The Infocus IN26XGA looked a good spec for the money. First disappointment was the input sockets. The information provided implied the projector had video ?component? connections but the RGB connection is only via the RS 232 (VESA) port, which can be done via an adaptor/accessory but this is not provided. Also you have to have a ?component? connection to achieve the higher levels of resolution the projector has, otherwise it is pointless paying for the extra picture resolution. There was no manual provided and information on the CD provided was scant. This may not have been a problem but the projector only produced very small scale pictures and it was not clear if this was by design or because the zoom was not working. The InFocus web site was also of no help and just added to the disappointment, particularly as it was not clear how...

Canon can, and so can you

Advantages: Canon quality; range of lenses available; good features
Disadvantages: Film - going the way of the dinosaur

...The 50E is an old fashioned Single Lens Reflex camera (that's look through the lens to you and me) which has been around for 5+ years now. It is know as the Rebel in the US and other countries but is basically the same. The camera would be an excellent budget buy for a beginner, or a good second hand buy for those wanting a cheaper option or second camera. It can come with a range of lenses - depends on package/store. I bought this with a 35-80mm Canon USM lens and later bought a 35-300mm Tamron lens to enable all shots from one lens. Advantages: really easy to use, great value for money, great picture quality

A great vintage feel, with improvements

Advantages: Power winder, program modes, very intuitive if you grew up on older Nikons
Disadvantages: No stop-down preview mode

Where's the rest of it then ?

Advantages: Excellent performance, Very light, Comprehensive list of features like DV-IN
Disadvantages: No Zebra, manual controls can be a bit fiddly

...own amusement it is very nice not to have to carry a pantechnicon with you. But if you are doing a professional or semi-professional shoot there is a psychological effect of having a bigger camera. In the mind of "Joe (Idiot) Public", bigger means better. So turn up with an old fashioned over the shoulder job and they think they are getting the last word in quality. Turn up with this and they get nervous that you might not be a real professional. In operation the camera is really impressive. My professional skill is that of a videotape editor not a camera op, but this camera does such a good job with auto this and that that it can free me up to concentrate on the pictures. The result is that whilst no one would ever confuse me with a professional camera operator I can at least produce watchable pictures, infocus and correctly exposed...

A non-teen witchcraft film....

Advantages: Gory, scary, unusual, not predictable
Disadvantages: A little too 'odd' in places which could put people off

...% Despite being old (and bits are dated (released in 1977)) its certainly worth watching, for fans of anything a bit ‘odd’ or just plain old horror films, I’m sure you’ll like, if not love this film. There’s a sequel to the film called Inferno (released in 1980) which involves Mater Tenebranum (the Mother of Shadows) who lives in New York and also features Mater Lachrymarum (the Mother of Tears) from Rome.
