The EOS 40D Excellent picture quality
Advantages: Excellent picture quality, low noise, now down in price.
Disadvantages: None
...Introduction
After several years of using bridge cameras and the like, I thought it was time to move up to a DSLR, after using canon cameras for most of the time in the past, I looked at what was on offer from them, at first I considered the EOS 400 but I decided to go for the newly released and better spec EOS 40D instead, I have used Canon 35mm Film SLR cameras in the past, so I thought I knew what I was in for, but the modern DSLR's are a different beast altogether, and I was pleasantly surprised at what this camera was capable of, it is light years away from my original Zenith camera, and even way ahead of my first Canon SLR which was an advanced and well specified camera in its time.
The Canon EOS 40D was first announced in the autumn of 2007, this camera has improved on an already impressive line of EOS cameras, ranging...

D40 user review
Advantages: small, light, easy to use, near-perfect quality
Disadvantages: no AE bracketing, no internal focus motor
...I've been using this camera for 8 months now and continue to be totally satisfied. The camera is a near-perfect balance between price and features, a perfect starter dSLR for a beginner. I recently bought a Nikkor 18-200VR lens for my D40 and plan on buying a SB600 flash. In current setup the camera is a perfect travel companion - I recently took a two-week trip to Croatia and Slovenia with it and it served me well. Most important, the end results were really good.
The user interface, both buttons and menus, are easy and intuitive, no need to even open the manual. Supports SD(HC) cards, so storage is cheap. Perfect balance in hand, nice weight, good ergonomics.
Unfortunately no AE bracketing which I sometimes miss when trying to take HDR shots, but I use a tripod or any other sturdy object for support and can manage. Also the lack...

OK Agent WD40 . .
Advantages: Very good for many jobs.
Disadvantages: Just that you have to buy it.
...WD40.
This product is made by the company that sells three in one oil, and now owns the famous 1001 company, the carpet cleaning solution. They do have a decent website, take a look,
www.wd40.co.uk
Check out the "Job site" where you will find a section named "Pointers by the Pros"
You have just missed the WD40 free magic pen offer, I missed it too, so I have no idea what this was. OK I have just looked it up, apparently it is a pen shaped applicator, containing a small amount of WD40 of course, This does seem a good idea to me, it takes up very little room, and can be kept anywhere you may need it, which means virtually anywhere!
The company is based in Milton Keynes, and has offices all over the world. They have quirte a reputation.
Contact details are:-

Nikon D40 is the DSLR you'll ever need
Advantages: Excellent image quality, good core functionality of an DSLR, cheap, portable and lightweight.
Disadvantages: Megapixels may not be sufficient for some, no autobracketing and no autofocus with non-AFS lenses
...Although introduced many years ago, Nikon D40 is still my favorite DSLR due to its compact size and affordable price tag. It is the best entry level DSLR in the market, at a price much cheaper than the more expensive compacts and semi-pro.
Nikon D40 is a fast 6MP camera with a large 3-inch LCD, 2.5fps continuous shooting, 1/500s flash sync and a bright viewfinder. What it lacks are a status display and a built-in auto-focus motor.
Megapixel count does not matter. It only matters if you like to crop your pictures or print huge sizes. In fact, the higher the MP count the more noise is produced during capture. At 6MP, you can comfortably print at postcard size without visible loss of detail. In fact, in low light shooting, a 6MP SLR will crush 12MP compacts any time of the day.
High MP count does not equate image quality, but since...

Canon 40D
Advantages: Build quality,features,price
Disadvantages: Needs at least a 1Mb memory card, size of instruction book
...I have now owned my Canon 40D for just over a week and I'm still finding my way round the features, comparing it to my previous camera,(Canon 10D)is like comparing a a carthorse and a racehorse.
10.1 megapixels,a 3inch screen and 6.5 frames per second shooting all combine to make this the best digital camera I've ever owned,(and I've owned a few, mostly compacts)
Shooting at 6.5 frames per second for the first time is an awesome experience,it made me jump the first time I tried it and it filled the memory card up very quickly,I was using the combined Raw and JPEG shooting feature, not that you need to use this every time.
The 40D is a really solid piece of kit and I'm expecting to get many years of use out of it,as I have from my Canon 10D.
To sum up,my Canon 10D cost me over a £1000 six years ago,the 40D can be purchased for less than...

Verstile WD - 40 to the rescue
Advantages: A great versitile product.
Disadvantages: Must use in a ventilated space
...This is a fantastic product that everyhold should have. It's only £2.00 for a 250ml can and is available in all supermarkets and garages. It distinct blue and yellow metal can with a red top is easy to find amongst all the other products on display. To use you just remove the red lid and spray.
Here are some of the things my husband and I have used it for:-
1. Removing stickers and labels from glass and mirrors.
I sometimes find that price tags and stickers can be awkward to remove without leaving a mark. However, I have now started using WD-40 to do the job for me. I just spray a little on to the sticker leave for a few moments and then remove the sticker easily as the solvents in WD 40 cause the adhesive to lose its stickiness.
2. Removing grease and grime from hands.
When my husband has been working on the car and his hands are...

40 inches of pure pleasure!!
Advantages: Superby picture quality. Crystal clear HD, plenty of inputs
Disadvantages: Pricey if you don't shop around
...--Background --
The 40W4100 had won many awards so we decided to take the plunge and buy it as our first LCD tv. After many trips to local electrical stores and hours of research on the net, it became aparrent that this tv was a step above the rest and although the price was also a great deal higher, we decided to go for it. However, I smelt a bargain. This tv was being advertised anywhere between £850 and £1000 at most places. During my research I came across a place in Coventry, not far from us who were selling the tv for an attractive £683. I was a bit sceptical about why this relatively small company could be so cheap compared to everywhere else. Off I went to the Sony Centre, armed with my printout in the hope they would price match for me. Alas, the Sony Centre told me this other company were selling, in effect factory...

The Nikon D40, simply the perfect SLR camera
Advantages: Quality, features, battery charging, the feel, realiable, fast, comfortable
Disadvantages: Non
...This is my first ever SLR digital camera and i love it! I would recommend to anyone who enjoys photography or not. Its a good hold, perfect picture quality and its perfect for the price. You can buy some SLR cameras which are expensive, but you could gain alot more from just buying a Nikon D40! Has a good clear colour LCD screen, powerful flash, easy to access memory and battery, comes supplied with everything you need to start you off. I've been told that Canon are good makes, but to be honest, the picture quality i think is so much better on this camera, plus this camera is only a 6 megapixels, so am guessing the Nikon D40x which is a 10 megapixel camera, is proberbly the best camera around at the moment! I would buy any Nikon camera again, no dout....
