Don't buy this printer if you use 64-bit Windows

Advantages: Looks nice on my desk
Disadvantages: It's a $1000 brick that doesn't do more than just look nice.

...I've now spent over 7 hours trying to get my new HP printer to operate properly... I paid over $1000 the 2800dtn([url]http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF06b/18972-18972-2362 51-24728-3328074-429041-429045-429046.html[/url]) which is rated on their website to work properly with Windows XP x64, but I can't even get the installation program to complete. I keep getting an error saying that it can't copy a file. I am not mad... I'm irate. Tech support had me try about 15 different drivers, but only one would install... Of course it's not even close to being the correct driver, because it prints junk out, it does not use the duplex attachment, and it can't print on oversize paper (which is one of the main reasons that I bought a frikin $1000 printer.) In addition, every time I restart my computer it stalls for a few minutes so it can...

...ink jet printers seem to be the common solution to every home personal computers hard copy situation but buying a cheap printer can work out costlier in the long run. The problem is the cartrages. Even a cheap inkjet printer can be brought for about £40 squid and have quite a decent quality of print but cartrages range from £15 squid to up to £40 and if the whole family are using it on regualar basis they mightent last very long. There are also special paper to buy like glossy for photo's and options to put the printer into a different mode to specialize for photos so these can take up more ink then in draft mode, so its important to look at the whole perspective on what the printer is to be used for and cartridge price before getting one in....

...Inkjet cartridges are very expensive, particularly so for Hewlett Packard printers, although I am sure that most makes of printer have equally expensive cartridges. You can get the Hewlett Packard printers at very competitive prices now, and I have a Deskjet 710c, which has been replaced by newer models, nevertheless I think it is a good quality printer, quiet, and the print quality is crisp and clear. The only downside to this printer for me, is the cost of new inkjet cartridges, and I do tend to run out fairly often, as I am always printing information which I find on the web, apart from the fact my grandchildren also like to print stuff too! The cost of a new HP cartridge is around £27 for a tri colour cartridge and £21 for a black cartridge. In an attempt to save money I purchased a recycled colour cartridge from PC World...

Denon DVD-2800 an audio visual masterpiece

Top of the range inkjet - amazing printer

Advantages: Quick, amazing text quality, nice photo quality, computer doesn't have to be on to opporate, auto-alignment, the list goes on
Disadvantages: Bitch to install, no tools in windows toolbox, more suited to business environment

...The HP 2250 Business Inkjet is the latest innovation from HP. For those who don't already know, Hewlett Packard is the Coca-Cola of the printing world. If you've already read my reviews on the HP Laserjet 5L and the HP2000C, not only will you know my life story but you'll realise I wouldn't trust anyone else to provide my printing. Anyway, my old HP2000C broke down, was temporarily replaced by the devil himself (Laserjet 5L) and now I have finally been blessed with this miricle. The HP 2200 range is aimed at business users, but power freaks like myself will not be disappointed. The machine costs nearly £470, but it is the bees knees, and unless you can afford £3000 for a colour laser printer, or £800 for the HP2500, this is what you want. The price is steep, and I don't recommend it for those that need 'NICE' and 'SPEEDY' printing...
