Going Digital

Advantages: Watching several channels at once.
Disadvantages: You may need a new aerial

The software enables the recording to your hard drive any program you wish and you can view several stations in a large window segmented to allow up too nine sreens at a time from which you can choose the one to view full screen. The software is virually idiot proof since each button is clearly marked with it's purpose. If you do not have a current digital reviewing aerial then I'm afraid that the added expense of getting one erected well outweighs the savings made on your DVB purchase. In this case you are probably better of just buying a freeview box and connecting it directly to your TV input on your PC. Dazzle DV video editing Pack is a great all in one pack

Advantages: Great package at a low cost
Disadvantages: none to me its great value for money

...I bought this card simply because I saw it on offer for £10 in maplins and I thought its worth a try, well its easily worth its full price, the installation is one of the simplest ever, but you wouldn't expect less from Pinnacle hardware! Windows has native drivers but you tend to find devices always work better with the drivers for the device. For the price you get a basic version of pinnacle studio as well as a bonus disk. Just install the card into a PCI slot load up the PC and insert disc 1, follow the step by step instructions and your done. Now when you connect your camera to the PCs fire wire port it recognised the cameras DV features instantly and auto run pops up like it would if you had plugged in any other memory card offering for you to edit the video in pinnacle studio.
