The BEST piece of software I ever installed.

Advantages: Backup your files, copy hard drive to hard drive, restore windows in under 6 minutes
Disadvantages: None

...the backup all you need is a working copy of your backup, the Drive Image 7 CD and a computer that will boot from a CD-ROM. Here is a brief description of how and why I personally use Drive Image. My backup setup is Maxtor 80 GB main hard disk, Maxtor 20 GB backup hard disk (split into two partitions) Step One Install Windows XP, all hardware drivers (motherboard, graphics, sound, modem, printer/scanner) Step Two Install important Windows XP updates (Service Pack 1, security patches etc) Step Three Install important applications (Anti-Virus, Firewall, CD-Writing software, Adobe Acrobat, Office, MP3 Player, DVD Player, DivX Player etc) Step Four Install Drive Image and create a backup of the whole hard disk onto the second of my backup partitions. Pluck up some courage & save a lot of money

Thereby you have your vehicle professional checked over for the safety related items as part of the MOT leaving you the less important items to service a couple of days later. Doing this, will stop any chance of missing something important that can be safety related. Once you have the confidence to carry out regular repairs you can also save money carrying out DIY installations on various extras such as additional lighting, installing radio/cds upgrades & other useful accessories. Here is a list of some 20 basic tools you would need, all can easily purchased from an accessory shop such as Halfords or over the Internet. Review of DIY installations

Great for installations!

Advantages: Price, Sound Quality, Quality Brand, Size.
Disadvantages: Harsh Mid Frequencies.

...I've just finished installing 2 pairs of these speakers with the JBL Control SB2 Sub Bass Speaker. The single cone Sub is designed to drive 2 pairs of top speakers in stereo. Having switched the system on for the first time today and got some music running through it I was primarily amazed at the projection of these little babies. They throw the sound really well and the overall sound I can describe in one word: Crisp! Without the Sub Bass unit these speakers extend down to 80hz which is a respectable figure for such a compact cabinet. I would imagine that, on their own these speakers would make ideal candidates for background music in bars, cafe's and restaurants. They would also make pretty tasty surround speakers in a Dolby setup and are a viable alternative for home hi-fi for those who want a more professional sound. Do not...

...On 9th October 2009 a Salesman came from Northern Gas and quoted us a price for a new boiler, and as we had been without heat and water for two weeks waiting for quotes, and as we are both in our seventies, he said he would try to arrange installation the following week. On 12th October their Surveyor came to assess the work involved and said installation could not start until three weeks. He said the boiler quoted could not be installed as quoted for and the flue would have to go up through the roof, adding another approx. three hundred pounds to the quote. The salesman had quoted one thousand seven hundred and eighty-five pounds and took a deposit of three hundred and fifty-seven pounds. Poor service from Homeserve

Advantages: Nice warm house cheaper gas bills
Disadvantages: Substandard overpriced installation

...and also to have 3 new radiators installed. First big surprise was that the work could be done at the beginning of January and would only take a maximum of 2 days and all rubbish would be removed. The cost was just less than £4000, but there was an added bonus I didn't need to pay anything until 12 months from the date of installation and if I paid then no finance charges whatsoever.. Can't be bad £4000 earning interest for me for 12 months rather than being paid out of my account. The representative warned me that if I didn't pay on time the interest rate was astronomical, but as the money was in the bank and I had no intention of leaving it longer than 12 months to pay this did not worry me. THE INSTALLATION As good as their word the fitters arrived promptly, completed the job in less than 2 days cleared away...

Northern Gas were the second to contact me and were very professional in obtaining all the relevant information and dealing with the enquiry. A salesman visited us the next evening and was very thorough in obtaining as much information as he could before making any recommendations. As they do a wide range of products and installations they could advise which system would meet our needs the best instead of trying to sell me a "one size fits all" package. After spending a few hours making sure we understood everything we proceeded to talk MONEY. ...Sales After getting a quote from British Gas for a new boiler, and being generally unimpressed with the pushy salesman and price (~£4000), we tried Nothern Gas Heating, who quoted ~£2500. The salesman was polite and not pushy. When we said we only wanted a quote to see how much we would need to save, he asked when they could contact us again, we said next summer, and we heard nothing from them until then. When they did phone, they were obviously keen for our business, so we were offered an option of 12 months interest free, after which we could pay off the balance in full, or pay back the money over a set period (with interest).
